But I think it's time for a new post. Hi! this is Hannah, the rescuer of all you gentle readers of this fellow's rather ::ahem:: boring xanga- incidentally, I'm his sister.

In the time between Gabe's last post and now:
He turned 17.
He got a new shirt. (that's a REAL big event for him. He never goes shopping.)
He went to a play.
He learned the "Minute" waltz on the piano.
He got a nephew. (You'd think he would tell you THAT. sheesh)
He went to an awesome church meeting, invented the "tournament" version of Rock, Paper, Scissors, and he and 2 friends kept the girls up till 3 by not SHUTTING UP. (they will tell you that it was US keeping THEM up, but is VERY untrue.)
He got a C book.

And at the moment, he is about to go out and play paintball.
He is happy.

Maybe I'll just be his secretary and do this all the time....

providing that he doesn't find out.

Matt Howard, who's been my best friend for 13 years, had a wreck this afternoon around 5:30 about 150 yards away from my house in my aunt's front yard. She called us right after it happen and I went there right after she called us. It's a miracle he's alive. 2 of my cousins saw it happen and they said they just knew they'd have to pull a corpse out of the truck. He just went to sleep, went off the road, and started flipping. There are places on pine trees 12 feet off the ground where he knocked the bark off. But the Lord protected him. my uncle was running towards it when matt came out the back window and started walking away from it. He should be dead but his only injuries are a cut up shoulder, they pulled a rock out off his hand, and he's got a gash on his forehead.. but no broken bones and he didn't even have to have stiches. He was in the hospital for about 2 hours and then they let him go home. Anyone who says miracles don't happen today should just take a look at his truck...... praise the Lord and pray for Matt since he'll be really sore for the next few days.

Ok... yeah.. I don't come here very much anymore. Um, I've been doing well. Played paintball last weekend and I am 1 kill shy of haveing 200 official kills (with only 42 deaths). Been on facebook a lot . I got my license! And my dad got a new truck so he gave me his 2001 4x4 Cerrokee Jeep . So yeah... I've been doing good. How are yall doing? I really can't think of anything to say..... it's been too long... whatever. I'll try to update more often.

Well folks... last night I was putting something in the back of our van and when I pulled the hatch back down, I didn't get my head out of the way fast enough and the edge of the door caught me right in the forehead. It laid me wide open. It also sent me to my knees. by the time I got back inside my hands and head were covered in blood and I was dripping blood all over the place. Once we finally got the bleeding semi stopped, my older sister and mom were able to pull some of the hair back to get a good look at it. I had a 1 inch gash an 1/8 of an inch wide. To the doctor we went. I had called my scout master (who is also a well known ENT) and he said to just meet him at his office and he'd sew me up right quick. I'm really glad we went because he said it had nicked a bigger blood vessel and would have bled on and off all night... that and the local he gave me took away my pounding headache (I was able to get to sleep before it wore off). He gave me about 5 stitches, so I'll live. It's just that I still have a headache and I can't raise my eyebrows. (and he said to not lift anything.. so my youngest niece can't understand why I don't pick her up when she runs to me)

At a recent computer expo (COMDEX), Bill Gates reportedly compared the computer industry with the auto industry and stated: "If GM had kept up with technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving twenty-five dollar cars that got 1000 mile to the gallon."

In response to Bill's comments, General Motors issued a press release stating, (by Mr. Welch himself) "If GM had developed technology like Microsoft, we would all be driving cars with the following characteristics:

• For no reason whatsoever your car would crash twice a day.

• Every time they repainted the lines on the road you would have to buy a new car.

• Occasionally your car would die on the freeway for no reason, and you would just accept this, restart and drive on.

• Occasionally, executing a maneuver such as a left turn would cause your car to shut down and refuse to restart. In which case you would have to reinstall the engine.

• Only one person at a time could use the car, unless you bought "Car95" or "CarNT." But then you would have to buy more seats.

• Macintosh would make a car that was powered by the sun, reliable, five times as fast, and twice as easy to drive, but would only run on five percent of the roads.

• The oil, water temperature, and alternator warning lights would be replaced by a single "general car fault" warning light.

• New seats would force everyone to have the same size body.The airbag system would say "Are you sure?" before going off.

This is funnier if you're a Southerner

A Northerner, a Southerner and Heidi Klum are sitting together in a train going through the Rockies. Suddenly, the train goes through a tunnel and, being one of the older-style trains with no carriage lighting, it goes completely dark.

Suddenly there's a kissing sound, followed by the sound of a really loud slap.

When the train comes out of the tunnel, Heidi Klum and the Southerner are sitting as if nothing happened while the Northerner has a nasty red slap mark on his face.

The Northerner thinks, "The Southern fella must have kissed Heidi Klum and she missed him and slapped me instead."

Heidi Klum thinks, "The Northern fella must have tried to kiss me and actually kissed the Southern fella and got slapped for it."

The Southern fella says to himself, "This is great. The next time the train goes through a tunnel, I'll make another kissing noise and slap that Northerner again!"

This was so wierd that I did some research to see if it was true. A most of it is.. except John W. Booth was born in 1838, not 1839.

Have a history teacher explain this----- if they can.

Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846.
John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.
