Let me get my Rick Ross on - MIAMI!!!!!

"I think the angels are your brothers...they told you about me, said you're just what she needs...and I find myself thanking your mother for giving birth to a saint...my spirit flies when I say your name...if there's one thing that's true, it's that I was born to love you // cuz your eyes are the windows to heaven...your smile could heal a million souls...your love completes my existence...you're the only other half that makes me whole"

Aaaaahhh, how good it feels to blog once again my lovely people   Ya gurl is back from Miami with a mean tan and feeling energized and better than when I left...sooooooooooooo please prepare yourself for one of the longest blogs that I've written because I'm gonna tell you about my 7 day 6 night vacation in Miami Beach....yessssssss!!!

SATURDAY: So, I had just gotten a check the Friday before and I already knew what I was going to do with that check (haha).  I knew I needed to get my hair done, and I knew that I hadn't gone summer shopping since summer started.  So, Saturday morning I got up and went to the hair salon and let the Dominicans wrap me up.  I was there at 8:30 and out by 10:30 (yess yess).  Now, the plan was to go get my hair done, nails and feed done, shopping and all that good stuff.  But then I decided well, why not head up to Juanita's house since her sister is bringing us to the airport in the morning anyway, that way her and I could do our shopping together and I'd already be there.  I didn't really wanna bring a big ass suit case on the train all the way up there but whatever.  Well, the plans quickly unraveled - Danielle called me and asked me if I wanted to go to Portchester with her and Ava to the flea market...in my head I thought it was like the ones in New Haven cuz the New Haven flea market is WHATS POPPIN!! Sadly mistaken LoL but they had the cutest purses there though!!  So i bought one, Danielle bought one and we got one for Juanita.  Then we left the flea market and hit up some regular stores...I went into this store called Joyce Leslie which I never heard of but glad that I discovered it because they had the cutest stuff in there and that's where I found the turquoise dress i'm wearing in my profile pic...and this other dress that I bought.  My new favorite store...so, it was like the hottest day and I still had to get a few toiletries and I didnt get my feet and nails done.  So I decided imma save myself $20 and do my own feet and nails so I did.  I went back to Ava house and Danielle and I were going to go to Old navy so I could scoop some flip flops and tanks...however, she still didnt do her laundry and it was already 5:00 by then.  So, I'm sitting in the house with Ava and we're watching Lord of the Rings (which I've never seen any of them and so I enjoyed that) waiting for Danielle.  Then I decided to go to Walgreens since it was right next door and just pick up the items I needed.  Danielle finally came back and it was 8:00pm and Old Navy closes at 9pm so we were rushing to get to the other side of Stamford.  Finally get there and of course they don't have regular damn tank tops...they got all types of tank tops with designs, frilly lace, racer back tanks, striped tanks but no SIMPLE REGULAR TANK TOPS...then we finally found them and they got the oddest damn colors...and when we finally find the flip flops they only have them in blue, brown, black, and pink...and of course they wouldnt have my size LoL Guess that dollar flip flop sale really knocked em out the box  So we go pick up Josiah to take him to Bridgeport so he can pick up his car - the fool locked his keys in the car in Bridgeport so he had to go get his truck... so after we left from there we headed to Norwalk and had corey meet us with his cousin so we could all chill...then to Termaine's hosue because he wanted to chill with us too!!  so we're chillen, chatting and John pops up...we all just sat around reminiscing  about old times and stuff...so Danielle went back to Bridgeport to pick up Josiah cuz he apparently couldnt get his keys out his car LoL  Dropped him off and went home and by the time we did all of that it was like 4:00 am LoL haha...we had to be up at 5 am to go to the airport LoL soooooooooooooo we didnt sleep.  5 am I called Juanita to see if she was up.  So we finally packed everything, got showered and chilled until she showed up...so at 6 on the dot she showed up...made it to the airport.  So thisis where the trip really begins........

SUNDAY MORNING - CHECK IN @ LAGUARDIA [ AMERICAN AIRLINES ]: So, we're outside checking our bag and we get this little spanish guy.  He asks us where we're going so we say Miami.  He looks us up in the system and doesn't find either one of us...so we're like we have the confirmation printed...so he looks at it and is like "oh so you have stops..."  yeah we have a layover...oh well i didnt know that...WELL YOU DIDNT ASK! I mean, if you know it makes a difference in the system when you're looking us up then maybe you should be more specific with your questions.  So he found us and he's like "you know it's a $15 fee to check your bags"...........dot dot dot.  You coulda bought me for a penny?  $15 fee per bag? or total? lol you know me...$15 for each bag...there were three bags that was $45 dollars.  so then we go inside and do the self check in or whatever blah blah blah...now Laguardia is different from JFK...in JFK you can go in the airport, check your bags, go through that little screening thing where you gotta take off your shoes and put your purse and stuff through...then you go eat and shop and all that good stuff...well in LaGuardia, they have all that stuff before you do the screening...so I go get me a coffee, Juanita and Danielle go grab some breakfast from La Famiglia cuz it looked good...but oh, looks can be deceiving and so can the prices. LoL breakfast wasnt worth a damn LoL she woulda been better off buying a bagel and a coffee.  We get to the gate to go through screening and I'll be damned if he aint tell me that I had to drink my coffee before I went in..............WHAT?! Yo, I need to have my coffee while i'm waiting at my gate...i'm not feeling that!  I was tight.  Then we get up there and take off our shoes, purses and all that...don't you know homegurl told me i had to throw out my sea breeze cotton lotion from bath and body works that i paid five dollars for because it was TOO BIG and I couldnt bring it on the plane.  WHAT?!!!! My face was screwed up...you know I was mad...that was a fresh never  before used bottle.  UGHHHH MAKES ME MAD THINKING ABOUTIT..........breathe, Kristina.  Okay, so we chilled at the gate for about a half an hour before we boarded.  The flight wasn't packed so we were given the option of moving our seats so I got a window seat...it was extremely cold on the flight and you know I had my shades on at all times LoL  Finally we got closer to Nashville (yeah, that's where our layover was.  We walked around Nashville International for three hours...got some Starbucks, ate, chilled, walked around some more, chitty chatted about little stuff and of course took pictures LoL haha check this one out of Danielle...

    l_a51d995728614c79ab00dc9487b60dc1

Welcome to Nashville!! Haha...yeah so after all of that we finally got back on a plane to head to Miami which was another two hour ride...oh and on top of that it was like a double flight...it was going to Turks Caicos (i think i spelled that right)...uggghhh i'm so sick of airplanes right about now.  Whoa, but when we got off the plane in Miami it was craaaaaaaazzzzzzy in there...the airport is freaking huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge and there were so many people in there I thought I was gonna go bananas.  Then when we get downstairs we're standing there waiting for our baggage to come around.......for like 20 minutes...craziness.  Finally we get out bags and we walk around the airport and finally get outside to a cab to take us to the hotel.

THE HOTEL: So, after getting out of a cab that cost us $38.50 flat rate, we were in front of our hotel.  So we check in, go upstairs to relax for a minute...we unpack our stuff and we all take a dresser drawer, some closet space and all that good stuff...we unpack our toiletries and blah blah blah.  So we all took showers, changed and decided to explore the first night.  So we took flicks on the beach...

    l_ec023749d4b45a1373d3945aabe2cf99

Yesss...So after taking pictures on the beach we walked up the street and met somebody from New Haven/Jersey LoL he moved down to Miami after visiting his mother...we asked him how far to Ocean I think we said and to our surprise he said it's a 10 minute drive...okay can we walk........nah, you dont wanna walk.  This is where the vacation/travel lessons of Miami kicks in...now in 5 minutes I learned that we were in North Beach and South Beach was a 10 minute drive from where we were.  We were on Collins Avenue which is like I-95 to me LoL it's looooooooooooong as hell and it runs from North Beach to South Beach - so basically we were at the wrong end of Collins.  But he did tell us it wasn't in walking distance.  So that night we walked around and cased our neighborhood and what was in the vecinity...restaurants, liquor stores, souvenir shops, Walgreens, CVS and a public library.

MIAMI CHILLEN: So the rest of our time in Miami was peace...our mornings consisted of waking up at noon and chillen on the beach...and of course the camera was our favorite friend as you can clearly see

    l_109b7251ad24007b93603bc7f2f19f8d

Love my ladies...sooooooo one of  those days we decided we wanted to go to South Beach and that if it was a ten minute drive then it couldnt possibly be as bad as the guy said it was...soo we got all dressed up and decided to take a walk...so we're walking on down Collins Avenue taking pictures, chillen, talking, watching cars pass us by...looking at the palm trees, watching the water and all the boats...and it just seemed like we had been walking forever.  Then we started wondering why in the hellllllllll we didnt see anybody else walking...here's the thing to remember - everybody freaking drives, cabs, or buses it in Miami unless you're right on the strip dude.  Ladies and gentlemen, we left our hotel around 7:30...it was 9:00 and we were still walkign towards South Beach.  Those jelly flip flop sandals from Old Navy aren't the shoes to walk in.  Juanita ended up kicking off her sandals cuz they were so flat.  Then these dudes in a truck stopped by us (after we were already in South Beach) and he decides he wants to walk with us...some guy from Tampa or whatever blah blah blah.  So we all ended up chillen but we still never really made it to where we wanted to go - Ocean Drive.  So Danielle met this really cute guy named Rain - "make it rain" lol haha so we all went back to the hotel and got our rest for the next day's adventure.  It's kinda hard for me to put the days in order but I'm trying my best...so the next day we decide to go to the mall because Juanita needed a hair store ASAP after that water got to that weave LoL and there wasn't one in the vecinity.  so we had to hop the bus to the 163rd street mall...but not before we went to eat...so we went to this nice Cuban restaurant called Sazon. OMG the food was amaaaaaaaaazing - check out the fooooooood

    4th of July Weekend 051

Fried plantains and garlic sauce - omg soooooooooooo good...we started eating them but couldnt even eat it all!!  That was Juanita's appetizer

    4th of July Weekend 052

Danielle had Yuca and that was slamming too...

and I had this crab cake.......whoooooooooo boy!!! Slammmmmmmmmmming...then came the big dishes...the food took up the whole plate we couldnt even eat it all...had to take it to the hotel...it was serious...the restaurant was beautiful, the atmosphere was perfect...sooo banging.  So after we ate we head out to the busstop to hop on the H bus to 163rd street mall (hood mall lol) so Juanita could go to the hair store and it starts raining like I've never seen...and we met this crazy man named  Harvey who apparently already saw Juanita and Danielle LoL but he saw me and was like I'm new and he sees why they keep me around cuz I'm pretty...im like what? LoL so we go to the mall and we see all these stores on the directory so we're extra hyped...like 80 percent of those stores aren't there anymore LoL there were about 3 or 4 sneaker and shoe stores, Steve and Barry's, Marshalls, some cheap little shoe store, Rainbows, hair store, and some other mess LoL like a strip mall almost.  some cute dudes though LoL Then we had to stand in the rain, the three of us under one umbrella waiting for the bus because it was pouring so hard that everytime a bus came by we had to run from in front of the mall (which was kinda far especially when you running in flip flops and slipping) to the busstop.  We finally made it back to the hotel.  I honestly forget what we did...I think we just chilled cuz we were all tight about that LoL and Juanita doctored up that weave...looking extra fressssssssshhhh!!!  So the next night we actually made it to...

    l_999f80a18242bd4b4db56d6a9652d8c6

Yesssss!! LoL so we're in South Beach on Lincoln and we went into this place called Wings and we all got henna tattoos...Danielle got this cute one around her ankle, Juanita got a cute one on her foot of little butterflies and I got this really cute butterfly...see...

    072308_1842

I thought it was so cute.  So then we're walkign around checking out the stores and all the restaurants and stuff...so we get to Ocean Drive and the heavens open up LoL WE MADE IT TO THE HOT SPOT haha...it was craaaaazy, people just get in their cars and drive down Ocean Drive...it was soooooo popppin and I sware I saw so many 24's on cars I thought I was gonna go nuts...vehicles just baller status...so we're walking walking and walking and we decide we're hungry because we didn't eat and there's sooooooooo many outdoor restaurants...so after we keep walking we end up in front of Versace's house so we took a picture LoL

    l_bb8260b04064be7dc2796b655101c674

Gotta love it!!  So we kept walking and we ended up at this outdoor restaurant and just dined and had a good time...then we headed off to Wet Willies - listen, this place is wussup!! That's all imma say...so here we are chillen in Wet Willies

    l_9b23f6932c7372edbd42e70ef71a2045

...and it was some cuties in there too...just beautiful people lol  I got a motorcycle ride too that night...had a ball...so the next day was the day we left and we all went out again before we got our flight back home...Danielle ended up going back to the hotel so it was just me and Juanita doing it up...

    l_421ec9134a8207bdac24edeafd290604

Me and my love! and then this chick took pictures with the security guard at Fat Tuesday's LoL

    l_de84452dd24f803b3cd9045614c0df8e

Best of friends!! lol haha I had such a ball in Miami...I put up all the pictures on facebook for all my facebook friends...or you can peep em on My Myspace - Miami is wussup...sooooooo oh yeah, we got back to the hotel around 2 or 3 i dont quite remember and we still hadn't packed up all of our stuff...so we still had to pack, shower and leave the hotel at 5 am LoL and it's a 1/2 hour ride to the airport (so they say, it really didnt feel that long).  We get to the airport and Danielle left her phone in the cab...and the cab company playing games with her telling her that it's not in the cab and blah blah blah...she was really really tight...and I was really really tired so I just let her deal with it.  But they ended up finding her phone anyway and mailing it to her (and it was in the cab after all he just didnt wanna look).  It was almost a 3 hour flight back home and I was sleep before we even took off from the runway.  I was sooooooooo tired - when we landed in NYC, we got our luggage and then had to wait for Danielle's brother...I did not know it was THAT HOT up here...I was baking!  Got home and went to my grandmother's house cuz I needed to be in some central air LoL

MONDAY - BACK TO WORK: For some reason I was extremely energized Monday morning that I woke up at 6 am ready...I was nice and tanned up and all that good stuff...get to work....what's been done since I left? Nothing.  Lovely right?  But I did find out that my boss rented a house for us in New Hampshire so that we could get away...so the office split up into groups, one group  goeso ne weekend and the other group goes the weekend after so that should be a nice little getaway especially after a week of vacation.

Juanita in some dollhouse in the Nasheville Airport LoL comedy oh it was made outta Legos LoL haha...I hope you guys enjoyed my blog about my Miami trip...so before I sign off, here's a few things that I need to mention...things that I've seen or need you to know when you go to Miami...

THINGS U SHOULD KNOW - MIAMI VERSION: Everybody down there wears Crocs - men women and chilren like they're Jordans...YOU BETTER NOT OR I'LL SLAP YOU LOL.  Please know at least a little bit of spanish when you go because it'll help you when you go out to eat...even in IHOP.  Do not be mad when you go out to IHOP and your breakfast has like a spanish flair to it...your'e dropping money for everything down there so make sure you got it to spend.  If you're taking a trip to South Beach, you need to be IN SOUTH BEACH lol we learned that one the hard way.  Check the map when you book your hotels...Collins Ave is THE STREET but you need to make sure you're on the right end of Collins, somewhere near  Ocean or Washington.  Oh, the cabs charge a $1.50 gas fee on top of the fee for riding in it (just a little info you should know).  The buses run allllllllllllll night so you're all set LoL

"if you just relax and take your time, you'll see in me you'll find peace of mind...something about the way that ya touch me makes me glow...in me you can confide but the love it takes some time /// feels like you could be the one that's catching feelings...I know you can't help it but just slow down...boy you know ur alright with me"

4TH OF JULY WEEKEND: Pictures are posted on Myspace and Facebook (for all my buddies that are connected with me on there).  So umm let's see, Thursday night I went to Bennigan's with Yeezee, Juanita and Josiah...it was really a business dinner to discuss our plans for our trip to make sure things were together.  Last minute things started coming up - Josiah lost his license, Juanita's ID had been expired since January (lol) which had me wondering how in the world were these bouncers letting her in these clubs LoL  But I let her know off top, youuuu can pull that in Miami if you want to and you will be left OUTSIDE with your expired ID word up...I'll meet you back at the hotel...then Josiah ends up finding his ID and decides that he's not going since he's starting a new job....which means we have no choice but to fly (we were taking a road trip yall...woulda been mega fun).  So Juanita had to go get a new ID then we were all set.  We had to make sure everybody had things situated, where we were meeting or staying to we could all go to the airport, our transportation to the airport.  So.......guys i'm going to Miami in 4 days!! Anywho, after we left Bennigans we went to Termaine's house and chilled out...Friday was 4th of July and I went to my nana's house and chilled with the family...me and Danielle attempted to hit up Midway carnival in Bridgeport that same day but it rained so we went home...that same night I saw a hood fight which was funny to me and a shame at the same time...it was a mother fighting with two of her daughters...her oldest child got drunk and started hitting her own child for no reason.....the mother intervened and the other daughter cussed her out and slapped her..............and in turn she straight gave her daughter the business...something like Sugar Shane word up.  I was like wooooooooooooow and it was MEGA people outside.  Then Saturday we went to Corey's house for a cookout which was mad fun...me and Yeezee were outside doing cart wheel battles with his littel cousins and Danielle was doing a hand stand battle LoL mad funny, mad food, mad fun.  Then we tried to figure out what we were going to do that night because we all wanted to go out.........but we needed a place where the cover was free cuz we broke lol haha....but we ended up going home lol Sunday was church and we took my sister tocollege lol yes she's only 15 going to college lol haha actually it's a program through her school called SUCCESS - it's a three week program and she has classes and stays in dorms just like a college student...her dorm was sooooooooo cute...she had her little microwave, fridge, her little roommate...brought her some snacks and stuff...it was real cute!!!

UMMMM: nothing else really to write about for the moment because I"m so caught up at work with stuff to get done...so i'll tryand update later. love yas!

    Does Her Faith Intimidate You?

"It's so incredible to me how You look past how I am to see where I will be...though the millions call Your name You still make time for me...that's incredible to me"

Itimidate: to make timid, fill with fear; to overawe as through the force of personality or by superior display of twelth, talent etc.; frighten, subdue, daunt, terrify.

Faith: confidence or trust in a person or thing; the trust in God and His promises through Christ and the scriptures by which humans are justified or saved; an institution to express belief in a divine power.

In my 22 years on this earth I've learned quite a few things and I've realized a lot of things as well...one being that some men are intimidated by women.  Some men are intimdated by wealthy women; some are intimidated by women with strong personalities and some are intimidated by smart women.  But I had never thought that a man would be intimidated by a woman's faith in God.

I've had someone that I was dating tell me that I can be intimidating at times but mostly because I was saved and so involved in church - I didn't understand why but writing this makes me think about it.  Was it because he wasn't saved that he felt intimidated by my faith in God?  Was it because he's been to jail?  Was it because he believes in God but feels as though because he doesn't go to church as much as I do, or he doesn't read the Bible like I do that he should feel inferior to me as far as his faith goes?  Better yet, does he think that I'll beat him over the head with scriptures or harrass him about going to church?  Was it because I was the "good girl" and he was the "bad boy?"

This blog is really for my men - should a man be intimidated by a woman's faith in God?  Does your spouses faith in God intimidate you?

Yay cruise! :) have we any dates in mind? I am thinking giving everyone maybe at least a year (sometime next summer). We can always go the cheap way 3 day cruise and meet somewhere in like Miami or something. The deposit isn't bad it's like $250 per person and you figure you can find a 3 day cruise
