From the looks of these smiles, would you guess there was a record breaking 27 inches of snow outside and this was our first meeting? That's how Pam and Mel made us feel.
They blew into NYC like a whirlwind, had a blast, in spite of all the plans that got cancelled, and left the city melting in their wake---and no we did not strategically place those menu's in front but look closely at the one next to Amanda. It says "we reinvented it". How fitting is that?

I wish we had more time to spend with eachother.

It was the FAB 5 minus 1. Sha did not make into the city and was surely missed. Hope her little ones are doing better.

I absolutely love this picture. Don't they look like sisters?

I AM SO HAPPY!!!

My wonderful friend came to visit me with her adorable little munchkin Cass. What a little cutie she is. Soooooooooo cute like a little cherub. It was hysterical when the big cheeses were asking Sha in a round-a-bout way about coming back to work here. Actually it was quite funny and I am sure she will blog about it It was so great to see them both.

I was going to talk about my vacation to Aruba and the tramatic flight back in the snow storm but will wait until I get pictures back---yes I will actually put a few up this time---for sure---I promise...really. You can all hold me to it

Oh! and the changes you see around here is her doing. It will be great when she is finished. Isn't she great?!

Just a quick "hi" to all. Thanks for listening to me ramble on the last time. Doc said I'll live He put me on medication for as long as he says I can stop. Probably the rest of the winter. I have to go back in three weeks to see if the spots in my lungs are clearing up. What a bummer! Now I will have to watch my margaritas and cosmopolitans intake Guess who will be sipping water and tonic for the holiday parties (which starts Sat for me)???? and even worse, on my vacation in less than two weeks!!!! I guess I'll still order those fruity drinks and empty them in the sand just to watch the cabana boys go too and fro in their thongs

I know I have not been around here much lately but when I do post I always try to make it humorous or fun or interesting or --- complain about the in laws. Hardly do I ever talk about ME. Well today it's about ME.

I went for my yearly check up three days ago. The doc did the regular stuff he usually does for a thorough check up. Several things I asked to be tested for including thyroids, diabetes, lupus and arthritis. Been having pains in my joints and have had inflammation in my spinal column years ago. I will get yelled at for my cholesterol I know that's a given. I nonchalantly mentioned to him somteimes I have a shortness of breath I think due to stress and anxiety. He listened to my chest and lungs--NOTHING. He made me blow into that digital breath thingy and to both of our surprise and shock it read "AIR BLOCKAGE". To make a long story short, he took three x-rays of my chest on the spot and found small spots (masses) that look like long string things in my lungs (he made me look at the x-rays and explained to me what it meant). Now he has me on an ashmatic medication for 12 days to see if it will clear up. He said it might be acute bronchitis or I have now developed asthma or ??????? in a week when I go back for another e-xay and there is no improvement then I will worry. In the meantime I am trying not to make myself crazy thinking the worse. I am just relieved to know that all these months I was not crazy. I knew something was wrong but not like this. I was waiting until the next visit to say anything to the family but I just could not hold it in. I was complaining to hubby a lot about back pains and chest pains and shortness of breath. He told me many times to make an appointment and we will go together. I did not listen because I honestly thought it was stress related. I guess I needed to be dragged kicking and screaming to the docs. The funny part in this story is over the past few months when he would say "I'll be golfing tomorrow, or what do you want for dinner?" or whatever it was, I would take a deep breath before answering him or after answering him. He kept thinking I was annoyed with him while in truth I was trying to get air into my lungs. He actually did not believe me. He even started joking around with me doing the same thing. Now he feels really really bad. You shoud have seen his poor face when I told him the doc won't let me leave until he saw what was blocking my breathing...it was priceless!

I am really trying to keep a positive attitude.

Sorry for going on like this and boring you all to tears.

No, it is not trick photography...

I have the picture above as a screen saver on my puter at work. What do you think it looks like? yep, I thought so too. There are a few people around here I would like to flip the bird to every now and again and this is a very subtle "classy" way to do it don't you think?

The picture is actually a broken off cloud from Carina Nebula taken by the Hubble Space Telescope called Disappearing Clouds in Carina. The actual description of the this Carina sub-cloud is particularly striking partly because its clear definition stimulates the human imagination --- it could be perceived as a superhero flying through a cloud, arm up, with a saved person in tow below. Wanna hear the funniest thing? My four year old nephew called up and said "Happy B'day auntie Jo Jo!! you are 28 years old ---oh, no wait I forgot---you are 60 thousand years old buh-bye see you soon!!!" Can you believe that little cutie???I am going to bite his little crusty butt when I see him

Hubby took me to see Mamma Mia on Broadway. No, I wasn't dancing in the isles but it was fantastic!!! Other than that, it was a nice quiet weekend.

Hope to make my rounds to see you guys sometime this week.
