Name: Phil Metro: Springfield Gender: Male
Interests: This could be the longest section, but I'll restrain myself. The #1 purpose of my life is to glorify Christ and to become more and more like Him. If I am remembered for only one thing, let it be that I loved my Savior and His people more than the pleasures of this world. But you want to know what else I like...
Outdoors:
Everything. Hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, climbing, swimming, flying, skiing, and just some good old jumping around with my friends.
Indoors:
Less, but still a noteworthy amount. Emailing, playing chess, reading. But more than the these activities, maybe even more than all my outdoor activities, I LOVE talking! Expertise: I'm one of those guys who has absolutely no skills whatsoever. That is, no impressive skills such as nun chucks, Tae Kwon Do, and the like. Yet despite my boring personality, (some friends call me Napoleon... lovingly :-) I seem to end up with a lot of good friends wherever I go. Maybe what they like is my silly side that creeps out late at night... Industry: Construction

| According to our sources, Philip and Nicole are alive, healthy and generally doing quite well. We have established communication with them on three occasions. Once of our agents has sighted them on two occasions. Reportedly they were last seen shopping in Walmart.
This is not Philip. Since it has been 6 months since the last update to this page, I figured I would clean the cobwebs off this page and post an update. Philip, if you want to become the sole user of this blog, let me know.
| Oh, Bryce! I had no idea you were still posting on my blog!Yes, the rumors are indeed true. Bryce was correct when he said that was why I have not been posting. It is now 60 days.
Maybe..... if I ever get internet service again.......just maybe I will be able to blog again. That is, WE. At this point it's a luxury I can't really afford.
More important than all that news should be the news that I was baptized yesterday. Not that I planned to be baptized on Resurrection Day; God just made it work out that way. I will say that it took me far too long to realize the necessity of it (although God knew what He was doing all along). I would have done differently, but I am only me, not God. But, oops! I forgot that most of you who visit my blog are Presbyterians (i.e. those who hold to the false, wrong, incorrect, un-Biblical, heretical, WRONG, false view of infant baptism j/k! But I do think believer's baptism does more justice to New Testament scripture than does infant baptism.) As I have studied and prayed about it, I am more and more inclined to say that claiming union to Christ without a baptism is much like getting married without a wedding (eloping).
I hope you all are doing well, and maybe I'll show up again sometime.

Congratulations to Philip and Nicole, who will be married on June 16th, 2006 in Missouri. 61 days and counting...
He will see your comments and congratulations, so go ahead and post them. His sister Angie also wrote about this.
Now you know a large reason why Philip hasn't been blogging much.
| A POST!This is not Philip. This is his friend. Since he won't post, maybe I should just shut it down for him. What do you think? Then I would lose my sense of power, so we'll keep the blog.
Philip is doing well, and is presently working in a family real estate investing/construction business. He is healthy, and is growing in love and knowledge of the Lord. He won't blog, because he is busy and has more important things on his mind.
Until next time... | | |
| Philip, his brother, his sister, and two other friends of the family went spelunking! They went for 3 hours way back into a cave near their house. There is a stream flowing inside the narrow cavern, and way back inside they came to an underground lake. It was a hairy jaunt, with multiple members of the party getting wet while slipping on the wet mud on the stream bank. Also there was some bruises from slipping on the wet rock. They sang, and had a merry time exploring this cavern last Saturday.
As a side note, I (and our family) plan to visit Philip's family in about 2 weeks. We should arrive on Christmas Eve. (Phil, I plan to have a surprise for you by the time I get there)
This is Bryce filling in for Philip, who is distracted, busy, tired, and working, which are keeping him from regular updates.
