| Wow, so it's been over a month since my last post. I've worked on
a few movies and whatnot since. Worked on a music video with the
band Velvet Revolver for their new song, "Dirty Little Thing." I
also worked on my first horror feature out in the middle of nowhere,
otherwise known as Palmdale. The footage was cool and all but
man, I definitely don't want to go back there again.
However, my biggest news (and some of you know this already) is that I
have a girlfriend now (Yay!). Her name is Reena, and she's
actually the girl I mentioned earlier at the dance. We started
out as "Just Friends" for a while and it wasn't until a few weeks ago
that we started dating. I just recently found out that, had I had
the courage to ask her out after that dance, we could've been dating
much longer now. Oh well. Things are going so great now
that I feel it was worth the wait. Well, I've gotta go now, but
here are some pictures of her/us to leave you with (assuming I did this
thing right. I've never posted a picture in a blog before).

Ice skating for the first time together.

New Year's Eve party
More to come once I get my photos developed (that's right, I'm old school like that) and scanned.

| Okay, so big news today. I got a paying job! It's for a TV
movie called "Nadine in Date Land" for the Oxygen Network. Now,
before you break out the champagne bottles, it's only for 5 days this
week (for the moment...it could change). BUT, I got the chance to
work with Janeane Garofalo! Okay, maybe not directly with her,
since I'm in the Art and Props Departments, but hey. It's the
first time I've worked on something with a celebrity in it, so cut me
some slack.
Also, I worked on another movie on Sunday which also happens to have
Helena Bonham Carter in it! However, I didn't see her until I
went to pick up my paycheck on Monday, so it wasn't much more than a
celebrity sighting since I wasn't actually working on the movie that
day, but hey. Whatever.
God, I probably sound like a spazz to all the film people out there
reading this. Hopefully this whole "ooo...a celebrity!" thing
wears off. Anyways, I gotta get some sleep. Early call time
tomorrow.

| I just went dancing for the first time in a long time last night.
I had a blast dancing with this one girl I met recently. Probably
the first person I've met here in LA on my own outside of work
friends. (Sad, isn't it? After four months...)
On a side note, I'm long overdue for a haircut. (Earth-shattering
news, I know.) It's been like, two months, so I'll probably get
around to it sometime this week.
In other news, I got a 4-day gig last week. Got $200 out of the
deal between my day rate, gas, and equipment rental. Not
wonderful, but hey. It's something. Also scored a 1-day gig
that will hopefully expand to more days this week. Waiting on the
producer to let me know if he can afford to bring me on. Cross
your fingers.
