Bunco Night at Cat's House! What is all of this?

Has Cat gone mad with her decorating?!

No! It is Bunco Night! If you have ever played Bunco before you know what fun it is! If you have never played before...ohhhh what fun you are you missing out on! To get a group started, all you need is...
- 12 friends (with you being one of them 12 naturally)
- 3 tables (with 4 chairs each)
- 9 dice
- 12 pencils
- paper/pads to keep score
- a bell
- and Miss Henrietta!

(Henrietta is the Chickie in the purple polka-dotted bikini!)
and...

...lots of yummy food!
You now have a Bunco Group!
Many of the ladies I invited had never played let alone heard of Bun-what?! It really is an easy game to learn and can be so much fun!
I had made up signs for our group which comes in handy especially when playing really gets going and people are moving from one table to the next. Losers at the table have to move to the next one so it can get a bit crazy and is easy to forget which table you are supposed to go to when there is a whole lotta talking going on - which we did a lot of that along with giggling and hooting and hollering. I jokingly said to everyone that come Sunday morning, when we are in our designated seating at church (isn't that funny how we all just naturally sit in the same spot every Sunday?) and we are sitting there all prim and proper like, trying to stifle our giggles, knowing all that went on Thursday night at Cat's house!
Donna, our Bunco Babe of the Month (pictured below), has the most wonderful laugh that I can still hear and just makes me smile when I see her laughing. Donna would roll winning Buncos on tie roll offs - amazing! And Angela's squeal of delight every time she would roll the right numbers. There were a few surprises as well from those who were so quiet to begin with and ended up showing quite another side of themselves altogether by the end of the evening! I think we all saw different sides of each other when all was said and done - it was wonderful!
There are many different ways of playing and it can vary from group to group but the best part for me is...the friends and the fun we have together!
Welcome to our first Bunco night...

(Back Row: Jeannette, Pam, Catherine, Jackie, Kathryn (hmmm...and maybe some future trouble makers?!?) & Front Row: Cat, Teresa, Angela, Donna, Pat.)
We took about 6 pictures partly because and what you can't see here is that I was talking before, during and after the shots which resulted in pictures of me with some odd facial expressions. I was very politely told to hush up by Miss Jeannette behind me...

Why the blurry photo? Because Sarah (taking the picture at the time) was giggling too. Someone had told momma to be quiet?! Rut Roh!

I wish you could see the expression on my face! Boy was I surprised!

Well! After being put into my place and giggling over how it was said - notice how Pam and Teresa are looking (laughing at me) I had quite the surprise And Miss Jeannette, looking rather innocent back there and just in time for the picture to be snapped too! Don't let looks fool you - this lady has got some spunk! What a hoot these ladies were to be with! Catherine, who is new to the area, definitely got a good Welcome to Kentucky fanfare that is for sure! Hopefully we did not scare her off and back to New Hampshire!
Picture taking over and yes...I'm still just a talkin'!

...and Teresa looking so angelic here! She had won the Chickie Prize! I think she was a bit worried at what that prize might contain but it was all good and in fun! With our Bunco we don't do the money thing...just cutesie little gifts.
I had so much fun and I think we will all agree that we are looking forward to Bunco next month! We have decided that our "Bunco Babe of the Month" will be getting a tiara and will have to wear it while playing at the next meeting in hopes of keeping her beautiful crown! Y'all are just precious!!!
