The Masked Girl Rides Again

Wow. I am writing a new Xanga entry. Procrastination has reached a new low. But here I am and dammit if I'm not going to finish what I've started. It's been so long since I last posted, I'm not even sure where to begin, so I guess I'll just begin with today. Now that classes have ended at UCL my only requirements are to write four papers, all to be submitted as a portfolio on May 1st. Yeah right. Do you have ANY idea how difficult it is to write three papers with a due date like that looming eeriely in the distance? It's impossible! I've sort of finished one and kind of looked at some books for the second, but have yet to choose a TOPIC for two of them. Things are generally pretty good. I've been in London now for about three months, a little more than that. If I haven't talked to you recently, I should let you know that I am not exactly in love with this country or this city. So far, it's been a good experience, but I'm not sure I'd do it again given the chance. I am very homesick. Luckily Rock Island awaits June 10th. It's what I get up for.

I'm going to see Equus tonight with my friend Ellen. If you haven't heard about this play, I'll enlighten you. It's been causing a bit of a stir around here because it stars Daniel Radcliffe of "Harry Potter" fame. And he gets naked. And I mean all the way naked. And then he sort of spastically jumps around stage blinding iron horses. So it's a little weird. And this is the second time I'll be seeing it. Long story. Also, they're serving us dinner in my dorm again. Well, not in my dorm, we have to walk two blocks for food, but whatever. I was getting sick of paying for food or not eating. This city is so effing expensive! All in all I'm in a good mood because a new episode of the Office airs tonight. Granted, I won't get to see it until late Friday, but whatever, I get too worked up over television. Partially because it's all I have of America right now.

I re-read a bunch of posts from years ago. It was nice. Good memories. Things aren't so bad, you know? I miss you all! Here's to my not-so-glorious return to Xanga. Let's see how it works.

I think the Crosby, Stills, and Nash song "Judy Blue Eyes" might be my favorite of all time. Is that lame? If so, I'm prepared to live with it. It makes me so happy, even though the words are entirely depressing....oh well!!

I can't get that effing Unfaithful song out of my head. Damn it Rihanna. Or whatever your name is.

Listen, I need to start off warning everyone that this post is primarily and specifically to bitch. So stop reading if you're not in the mood -- trust me, it's for your own good. My problem is this: I have cabin fever to an immense level, but it's hard to make plans A.) because my cousin could go into labor any minute and I'm pretty worried about her. There are some potential complications and I just want her to have the baby so we don't have to worry (that sounds so selfish and immature) and I will be leaving for St. Louis when we get word that the baby is here, so I don't have ANY clue when that will be. It could be tomorrow, the next day, next week -- who knows. and B.) because I'm still sick and I feel like I'm getting worse again. I'm exhausted all the time, just from going to the grocery store. It's lame. Someone give me some advice or encouragement, or just make me laugh. I need that more than anything. Thanks, everybody. I hope everyone else is doing well. Sorry for being a shitty friend this summer -- I'm really not just ignoring everyone. Things have just been weird.

My first week of summer vacation I go to the doctor to get some medication for this nagging sinus infection that's been bugging me. SURPRISE! That's no sinus infection -- that's MONO!! Yay!! Way to start off your summer, Trinrud! Yeah, so, if anyone wants to hang out, I'll see in three weeks to a month (if I'm lucky.) Mono blows.
