| I've heard that it's a bad idea to shop online late at night, but my mind was totally in the right place when I bought this thing at 3 AM:
Okay, fine--it may not an exciting purchase (to you) but I'm pretty excited about it. It's got a thermal carafe, so I can't break the pot like I did last time, and a gold-tone filter (so no more paper filters) plus a Brita water filter. Yay! May we live happily together and produce lots of delicious pots of coffee forever and ever and ever.

| Seriously, is there such a thing as the weakling gene? I swear, some people not only let themselves get pushed around--they seem perfectly content being told what to do, and when, and how, and...it seems all they care about is satisfying the other person. Some might say that that's selflessness, that's love--I don't think so. I think some people cling to the happiness and approval of their significant others like child would a security blanket. Just keep that person happy, and he/she will never leave them. But doesn't that get so exhausting? For both people?
