My contribution to NCFCA:

• The speech must be an original work, scripted word for word by the competitor.

• Material must be prepared and used for the current NCFCA season only. Speakers may not use the same

speech in two separate categories at the same tournament.

WHOOOOT. My violation got put in RULE 2! I feel super special. (I got disqualified for that 3 years ago, BEFORE it was a rule. While I feel the application to me was ex post facto, I also feel proud that my mistake resulted in RULE 2!!)

So someone posted this list of why Homeschooling is bad.

and it seriously made me laugh.

1. When you go to a public school, it's easy for teachers to notice when a child is being abused. Students at home with abusive parents have no one to look out for them. (Wow. I love it that this is number one.)

2. Students in public school receive free eye exams and get testing for such diseases as scoliosis. These problems might not be caught is soon without public school.(HAHA. yes. I am SOOO deprived because I did not get my free eye exam!)

and there were some other objections about socialization that made me sick. But the eye exam one made me laugh. So yeah. just thought I'd share.
