  • A book is in the works. Here is the new cover.
It's going to take a long time to take the dictation to
write this as well as doing illustrations. Why?  I have no
idea what it is about. I have to wait to find out.

Until then, why not download the first part of this.
The Miracle Of Cranny Nook - Turning Over A New Leaf.
It's on our free book site.

  • A SUNNY HOME MUSEUM

Everyone is talking about taking vacations at home these days. Why? The gasoline prices, the rising cost of tolls, vehicles, vacation rentals, etc.

When we go away, we think of how
we could do it cheaper next time. In fact, upon retirement, a plan may be in the works to
make an effort to move near a place where we can travel shorter distances to nice places.

Believe it or not, this may not exist in reality in America. I spent my entire life trying to move closer to the beach, on the east coast of the USA. The closest I came still left me with a 70 minute drive to Ocean City, one way.

My children made the effort to work there
over 5 years ago, and actually found jobs for two, but after looking for a place to live while
working, they found the costs unreachable.

Now what? In the future, we advocate mass
transit from these beautiful inland rural villages, for the people who need to find work
    where it's available.

For us, we don't travel into the city as much as we used to. Why? The paid parking is only allowing us an hour and a half. Not even enough time to grab lunch, or to see a Museum. The only way is mass transit. A good idea, we will have to embrace in the future.

So what do we do, until then?  We do our own paintings and fill the house with joy and light, as in our own museum.

These paintings are only half of what's in our living room. Our small apartment is full of art. Carlo and I share the walls.

  • ROSES AND FISHERS

    TheRosesOpen
These lovelies came home with Carlo nearly a week ago. They have opened to their fullest, and
Carlo is painting them. I love when a man brings me flowers.

Today, on another subject, three names were given to me for several aquatic friends that I've had a chance to meet briefly. I looked up
the names, and found also an old friend. I have not heard this poem for years. Thank you for the memory.

    Winkin', Blinkin', and Nod

    Winkin', Blinkin', and Nod, one night sailed off in a wooden shoe;
Sailed off on a river of crystal light into a sea of dew.
"Where are you going and what do you wish?" the old moon asked the three.
"We've come to fish for the herring fish that live in this beautiful sea.
Nets of silver and gold have we," said Winkin', Blinkin', and Nod.

The old moon laughed and sang a song as they rocked in the wooden shoe.
And the wind that sped them all night long ruffled the waves of dew.
    Now the little stars are the herring fish that live in that beautiful sea;
"Cast your nets wherever you wish never afraid are we!"
So cried the stars to the fishermen three - Winkin', and Blinkin', and Nod.

So all night long their nets they threw to the stars in the twinkling foam.
'Til down from the skies came the wooden shoe bringing the fisherman home.
'Twas all so pretty a sail it seemed as if it could not be.
Some folks say 'twas a dream they dreamed of sailing that misty sea.
But I shall name you the fisherman three - Winkin', Blinkin', and Nod.

Now Winkin' and Blinkin' are two little eyes and Nod is a little head.
And the wooden shoe that sailed the skies is a wee one's trundle bed.
So close your eyes while mother sings of the wonderful sights that be.
And you shall see those beautiful things as you sail on the misty sea,
Where the old shoe rocked the fishermen three - Winkin', Blinkin', and Nod.

  • BACK TO REALITY - LIFE IS A JUGGLING ACT

Today I must juggle many notes that I'm eight months behind in. Part of it involves an ongoing book review of Pope Benedict XVI's book, Jesus Of Nazareth. At this point there are only three chapters finished and documented in a report format. That's about 30 pages worth of work. I leave you with a fuzzy and distant shot of a man juggling in the center, marble courtyard, of St. Cyprien. My vacation is as fuzzy now as this photo.

  • WHEN WE ARE ON VACATION I PAINT

This is in addition to writing major travel logs, with the help of a Friend. This is in addition to playing like a child at Aqualand, and making Carlo ride down water slides. This is in addition, to walking for pleasure, listening to the sounds of the waves, and looking longingly at every ice cream parlor in the vicinity. Tell me please, what gives the people the right to charge such high dollars for ice cream, fuel, and tolls?

Some of you know that I'm a Visionary Artist. However, I also paint for the sheer joy of it. My Friend that dictated my travel logs,SunriseStCyprien also gave me the ideas for these paintings. I adore oil, acrylic,
gouache, and water colors as my mediums.
