| | New ninja short film tours U.S.
"KAGE" is a new action-packed short film that looks akin to "Samurai Fiction" but delivered with severity - no wires, no digitial, stiff impacts! I'm intrigued - the visuals are great, the costumes are a cool mix of traditional and anime/video game fantasy, and YES there are cute ninja girls with short swords!
Any city hosting the Japan Film Festival 2008 will have this gem as part of a night of various shorts. Some good looking stuff in a wide mix of subjects...
Meanwhile, there's a generous trailer and a 'making-of' short and nifty downloads at the official Kage website, which is bi-lingual, too.
I'll be at the LA screening on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 15th at the ImaginAsian Center downtown.
