| Today was our second day on our job sites. My team finished taking a shed down and then we went to another work site and took down a shed and started gutting the inside of a house. It was really hot outside but none the less it was really fun . After that we came beck to the church and had some free time. After that we had dinner. Dinner was so good! We had Gumbo, rice, and some salad. We quickly cleaned up and then took a trip aronud the city to some of the destruction. It was interesting to see what happened in person and people think it is all gone but the truth is there is still a lot to be done. We got to see the where the levies broke, the houses that where aroung it and where completely taken out. We also saw where a 67 foot boat went on top of four houses and then it landed in the street. We got back and went to McDonald's. It was really yummy, but you couldn't get a lot because MARK is making sure that we have a low sugar intake. At the moment we are in the process of winding down for the night so that we can get up and do it all over again tomorrow.

| Work Day 2Today was the second work day. We headed to the work site early this morning where we continued working on projects from the previous day which involved taking down a shed and mudding drywall. Everyone took part in taking down the shed. It was really neat to watch it come down. We took a break around noon to enjoy lunch and rest a bit. It was VERY hot outside so we all had to make sure to drink a lot of water. After we finished working for the day, we came back to the church to clean up for dinner, and we went on a tour showing some of the devastation spots. Pastor Willy came with us to be our personal tour guide. He brought us to the old and new levees. While driving on this tour it really made us realize how much work still needs to be done even after 3 years. When it started getting dark, we were heading back to the church when Pastor Willy suggested we take the Ferry across the Mississippi River. It was a really neat experience and a lot of fun. Overall today was a great day and we cant wait until tomorrow comes.

| Our first day of workToday was our first day of actual work. We arrived at the site and immediately Brady stepped on a nail. Then we took a walk to an above ground cemetary. On our way to the cemetary we met a lady who showed great appreciation that we had taken the time to come down and help out with the rebuilding of the city even though her and her husband were doing all of the work themselves. We began working and my group was assigned to tear down a shed. We took down the siding and then took down the rotting walls. With all those nails sticking out of the boards, someone was bound to step on one, and i got to be the lucky one. After we finished working for the day we went to the hospital clinic so that i could recieve a Tetnis shot but everything is fine (the nail didnt go that deep). The food has been great and the evenings are relaxing. The church is not what i expected, but that makes it feel more like a house than a church.

| What I Did MondayToday was the first day of working! My group worked on tearing down a shed! We had no major injuries! I met Ephram who set up all the work projects. When we were at the shed we saw a family of geckoes! We saw some aboveground tombs. I got to do a demo project!
