there's a live steel drum band outside of my bldg.  I can hear it from my apt.  Kind of weird...reminds me of J.B.'s on the beach...but its not

My 3 year non-stop vac is over.

I'm still here, and I think i'm gonna be here for awhile...

1.)  Florida is great.  The weather is so Wonderful right now.  My friend Sheldon from work just upgraded his boat to a 23 footer.  This weekend is supposed to be crazy since it's a 3 day wknd (regarding boating/sandbar outings) because for the floridians, the water will be getting cold soon...these people are ridiculous.  I saw someone with a sweater today!  Most of the people I hang out with at work are younger than me so I am re-living my mid20's.  We are all in the same boat (most of us recently moved here from another state so we are each others family!  We do everything together -- happy hour, driving range, softball, bowling...it makes living here a lot more bearable, and less homesick.

2.)  Sandra got the whole crew to come out for her pre-30th bday celebration at the Hard Rock Seminole Casino ( the kick off celebration of Sandra-fest 2006).  The real party is gonna be in VEGAS BABY!!!  I am so excited, I have never been there and I am looking forward to it.  Sandra is in NJ right now;  she left on Friday and I'll be here all by myself until I go to vegas on 10/12!  I was dreading being here all alone since 9/29 but so far so good.  I've kept myself occupied.  I hang out with my neighbor Jason a lot (another non floridian)-- he is such a trip.  And we both love to cook so we'll be making dinner for each other for the next week.  I always cook when i'm bored.  Besides Jason I've been hangin out with Ramil.  He lives an hour north of me (in the f-ing boonies!!).  That guys is so friggin funny;  I'm so glad he's here and that Kim will be here soon.

3.)  I have been researching condos...hopefully I will have something by the end of the year so I don't haveto rent anymore.  I spoke to my realtor today and told him how much I wanted to offer to the developer for a condo I really want in Delray.  He doesnt think they'll take it but we'll try anyway.  Then he sent me a link for a development in Boca...it looks really nice but its too far west, and I dont really want to live in Boca...I love Delray.

4)  Irene and Miki will be here for Thanksgiving....anyone else down?!??!  We have a huge apartment with lots of space...(only until December!!  come take advantage while you can).  We will probably have thanksgiving at our house with Irene, a couple of people from work, and I am going to invite Shane to come down.  Then we can party in Miami woo hoo!  Sandra and I never go to Miami unless someone is visiting.  And even then we still dont go.  I think i've only been to Miami like 5 times since i've lived here, and 2 times was just for shopping, not partying.  It;s only an hour away (same distance as my house in jersey to the city) but I don't have the desire to go down there.  We either go to the Hard Rock or stay local in Delray.  Anyways anyone interested in coming down for Thanksgiving is welcome!!!

Sorry I wrote a booke, but it's been awhile.  See ya soon!!  (i'll probably be back in December =)  )

i just watched all 4 videos of Ray's snowboarding clips and made my neighbor watch it with me.  Sandra is still jammin to her own tune trying to pretend she knows how to play the piano.  it's 238 in the AM and we are just trying to ignore the storm.  i dont know why everything is in italics now but i am ready to pass the F out and go to sleep.  Luckily we dont  have to go to work tomorrow.  All schools are closed, i feel like i am in a third world country with No Gas to spare and when we go to the grocery store at the last minute there is no more water or bread or tuna fish.  third world county i tell u!!!  so weird...people say, well its the same as a snowstorm, but u know what, in a snow storm you can still buy water and bread and tuna fish and there is still Gas at the gas station and it doesnt feel like a thrid world country!!!  but my roomate and neighbor are cheersing to ERNESTRO HURRICANE PARTY!!  WOO HOO!!   Coffee PATRON, have you ever tasted it??  it doesnt even taste like tequilla.  but seriouslhy, those snowboarding clips made me want to TEAR UP THE MOUNTAINS!!  i can't wait to go snowboarding next year.

hey homies!  hurricane ernesto is in full effect.  we're chillin at my neighbor jason's house and listening to his ipod collection, jill scott and the roots, SBA!!.  hurricane party.  that's how we do here when there's a storm on the way.  Sandra is jammin to her own tune.  "every neighbor's heart beats to their own drum" said my neighbor Jason.  COME CELEBRATE SANDRA's 30th IN LV!!@!!@!!@!!

- 5. Selfish - f/John Legend

I got beat up by a volleyball last friday-- not pretty.  It looks like someone took a baseball bat and battered my arms.  My muscles were all swollen and red.  Broken blood vessels.  Now the red turned to brown/purple, a sign of healing.  I went to a rec center with my coworker in Boynton Beach.  I've been playing volleyball for all these years and i'm still scared to spike it or block a spike from the other team.

My roomies and I went mountain biking this weekend-- well everytime we would tell people they would say "mt biking where?  there are no mountains here".  But it was at a park in Aventura where you can bbq, go canoeing/kayaking and "mountain" biking.  The trails were pretty rough for us but it was so much fun.  I hated it at first, the trails are so constricting, its not like snowboarding where you have lots of room (for the most part).  You have to worry about rocks, twigs, tree stumps, branches coming at you, hills, sharp turns.  I lost Jenn right away (which I didn't mind).  I ended up doing 5 trails by myself.  We are planning to go every weekend.  I hope we really do it.
