OK, Today is a nice day. The weathers magnificent, the sea is deep blue and wholesome, the sand is slightly crisp from the frost last night and the neighbours are all outside either gardening or chatting to one another.

Also, After much thought and consideration, also judging from the way its making me feel, I`m gunna give up smoking (He said, with a cigarette in his mouth).

Been thinking a lot lately, mostly about the RAF, and also all the goings on in america at the moment, but yanno its none of my concern, I just like to rant and rave about it with people

Was sat in the bathroom today, Started thinking about Buddha and his words of wisdom, or rather what he believed in. 'Everything exists, Nothing has value', a cynical outlook towards life, and if taken too seriously one would never do anything. But it`s dead right, as far as we know there is no reason for us being here, and there is no absolute destiny which we all must fullfill, so, seeing as theres nobody here to tell us what has value, nothing probably does have value. We decide what has value in out OWN minds, thats for sure, but what we value is determined by affections, desires and interests, and possibly experience aswell. I am therefore lead to believe that the idea of everything exhisting but nothing having value is a true one possibly, but certainly not one to take literallly, so I shall therefore reject the matter and concentrate on more important things in life, like interests, alchohol, music and women

Actually, before I finish, I`d just like to state for the record that as far as im concerned, the only really imprtant things in life are the Arts (Art itself, Music, Literature) and everything else is irrelevant. Nothing in life can be summed up better than with a Picture, Song/composition or a Piece of writing. Without any one of those three arts, we would be truely lost.

Question for the day : Does anything in this universe have value?

Laughing My Ass OFF @ Tourists in Cumbria! These so-called tourists (more than likely they are just city dwelling southerners) travel for countless hours to get up to the countryside for a weekends excitement. Up on arrival, they go to the nearest town and either ask for directions to a nice resort (a place with a bar and a nice view) or they go to a mountaineering shop and get kitted up with all the latest in hiking equipment (this is not because they need it, but rather it makes them look like more "devoted" and makes them feel like they are the "hardcore" and elite of the mountain climbing world.)

Now, maybe im cynical or maybe ive just lived here for too long but every time i see one of these so-called hardcore mountaineers with their 85 litre rucksacks strapped on to their backs, I just wanna rush up to them and pull thier bags off JUST to look inside and see EXACTLY whats in it. Im willing to bet there would be nothing more than a few cans of beans, a sleeping bag and bed matt along with possibly a tent.

Now the real funny thing about a lot of the tourists in Cumbria (or the 'Rucksack wielding Mountain Chiefs' as i have come to nickname them) is the motives for which they come to this place. Sure, Cumbria has a reputation for being one of the most captivating and beautiful parts of the United Kingdom, and yes this is well known throughout the UK, but if its so true that they are all so keen to totally draw in every view and scent of freshness that this magnificent part of the world has to offer to them, why do they all flock to the towns????? SURELY they drove all this way to escape from the smell of the city/town?

No, the truth of the matter is that these people are not the genuine article, they are not the elite of mountaineering, They do not seek to enjoy every good view that this part of the country has to offer, They are merely doing what they have been told to do, so to speak. It`s the power of the "Herd mentallity" again. They see that this is a Popular and "Happening" place where "Everyone`s going to" and so their impulse drives them to believe that this is where they want to come, not for any decent, honest and respectable reason such as to come and see what the beautiful natural surroundings of the forests and mountain peaks has to offer, the views and assets of the natural countryside are just a mere addon or bonus to coming here, the truth is that these people are not thinking at all, just following the crowd.

Now im no rocket scientist and im deffinatly not eligiable to start judging people, all im doing is expressing an opinion, one which i believe i AM entitled to after living her for all of my life and knowing exactly what it is that makes this ever increasingly popular place to visit the really spectacular and special piece of countryside that it is, and if i feel that some of the people that have the luxuary to visit it are not worthy of its miraculous assets and views then im sorry, but thats just the way i feel.
