| For the past week or so, my computer has had a little bubble pop up that says: "Running low on disc space" ... and telling me that I need to get some space for my C: drive. I knew the importance of having space available on your C: drive, but I couldn't figure out what I could do to open up space, since all I store on C: is programs ...
... then I went to look, and realized that I never deleted wikipedia. All 12.7 GB of it.
So I deleted Wikipedia.

| On Names, AgainJust venting ... (directed at people who would never-in-a-million-years find this post. So if you read this, it's safe to say that it doesn't apply, even remotely, to you.)
To People I Do Not Really Know:
If you are communicating with me via email, and we have met solely in a "work" environment ... please do not truncate my name, and do respect the name I reply with. As in, don't go: "Dan, <message>" when I sign my message with "Daniel". It's complicated, and I do not care to explain the nuances to you.

| So, I have to send my computer off to HP in order to get the wireless card fixed. So, in order to prepare, here's what I'm doing:
Creating two image files of my C: drive (DriveXML and SelfImage).
Copying all of my Data to an external hard drive via a manual copy and paste.
Copying all of my Data to an external hard drive via Vista's 'back-up' function.
Copying my 'Documents" to my iPod so that I can access them during the transition
Using an old laptop in the interim.
Backed up Firefox settings using MozBackup to my iPod, then "restoring" it to the old laptop.
Probably going to delete my documents and firefox settings before shipping it off.
And, hopefully, I'll get it back in 7-9 business days. Woo. (Not.)

I just found out that, all year, I shared my mail-box with a guy who has been surfing professionally since 2005.
That explains the sporadic nature of when he would retrieve his mail.
