fresh air

Hiking is fun and is a measure of how badly out of shape we are.

Strawberry peak - 10/21/06

It's about 12 miles and is quite a vertical climb with dangerious cliff. There is a log book of peak-reachers. Look for my name with a drawing of an elephant's butts when u get up there!!!

Mt Waterman and twin peaks - 10/7/06

It's about 14 miles total. Mt Waterman is moderately challenging. From Mt Waterman to the Twin peaks, it's quite a sandy/dusty trail - tough to hike up, especially with a steep slope. One you're near the peak, it's almost a 60 degree slope - reaching the top is tough.

Make sure you  bring plenty of water - "HYDRATE OR DIE"

coworkers prank

I came to my office at 11:30am to start working my last week at my current work place.

I walk in and see a new guy moved into my office from his cubicle. My desk, my computer, my phone, my board, my door nametag, and all my furnitures got this name on it.

Then he tells me that they boxed all my stuff over the weekend and moved him in.

I was like... what the hell??? I thought my 2 week notices says clearly that this coming friday is my last day...not last friday...

Then I walk around my floor and ask pppl what the hell is going on.... they all act surprise and wonder why I am not at my new company.

I come back to my office and ask the guy about who put him and his stuff in my office. he plently says that the facility people moved him in here. then he picks up my desk phone and talk to ppl like the phone # is now under his name...

I was ... .fine... I move my stuff to my car and today would be my last day at work....

then a lab manager comes by and asks me what I am doing here ... and tells me she already took my lab access away.

I walk to my manager and ask what the hell is really happening. She makes some calls and after a while she says IT"S A PRANK....

It was so funny when everyone comes out and says it's prank... I was kinda embarassed too.

well, that's my work place and coworkers... they all want to make my time at Raytheon be memorable.

Now I feel bad for making a move... Afterall, I think moving to new company would open more doors for better opportunities while having ppl welcoming me back to my old work place if new work place is miserable.
