I Left My Book In Hawaii
I left my book in Hawaii,
On the beach in the sand somewhere,
I was suppose to practice my spelling,
But I just couldn't concentrate there.
The oceans whispered, "Come surfing."
The beaches beckoned, "Come play."
I followed the sound of their voices,
And I threw my spelling away.
For a week I rode the free winds,
As I surfed a wide blue sea;
And the sound of the ocean breathing
Became a part of me.
I'm sorry, Ms. Jones, I forgot it,
On a beach in the sand somewhere,
How I wish that book was remembered,
And I'd been forgotten there.
You don't think she actually wrote it do you??? o.o
Heck... what if she did???
This one I know she read somewhere, but she told me that she loved this opening. Again, I was impressed that such an introduction would have been noticed by someone like her.
River Song, by Belinda Hollyer:
I have discovered that you can go along for ages without seeing things as they really are. And then one day their true colors light up as clear as the sun in the morning. They come in so close you can't ignore them: they tap you on the shoulder or grab you by the arm, and won't let go until you listen to what they have to say.
Sounds like the intro to something really deep =x
