| | ALL RIGHT! Here's the Morrissey entry. MEA? I don't even know if I should make that a Xanga entry...mwahaha. :P
Friday: I wake up extremely excited
and head off to school. Took a crappy Chem test, where for one of
the
problems I wrote, "I have no clue what I'm talking about." At
least he
understood. :P After Chemistry, Rene and April came and picked me up
and we went to Kohl's where I cashed my check and then went to
James'. We left Mankato around 12ish. We drove for 6 hours,
listened to
lots of Morrissey(of course), T.Rex, and Blondie. We made fun of
some
of the signs on the way. Such as "Laser 101.7...United We
Rock." It
amused us. We got into Milwaukee around 6:30. Our hotel was
in the
seedy part of town, but that's what made it more fun and
adventurous.
We sat around our room for about an hour, till I suggested we find a
party to crash. We ended up driving around downton Milwaukee for
about
4 hours. So many bars, and that's about it. April shouted out to
some
people on a street corner, which looking back was not a really smart
thing to do, "THERE'S AN ABOMBINBAL SNOWMAN IN THE MARKET!" We
have it on tape. :P I will recount one of the many amusing things
shouted out the
car window. There was a huge gathering of college kids and we
were
wondering what was happening...here is that conversation...
Rene-Hey! Kid! What's going on?
Attractive College Guy-Nothing much, but thanks!
Rene-No, I meant what's going on over there.
Attractive College Guy-Dude! It's Midnight Madness! You need to check this shit out!
Rene-Ah, all right. Thanks...
Ok,
it was hilarious if you were there. We stopped at Little Ceaser's and
got a $5 pizza. The manager, Scott, looked at me with my coat, gloves,
hat, and scarf on, and said, "Cold enough for you? That's ridiculous
you have to be that bundeled up." I gave him an evil glare as we took
our pizza and our crazy doughy bread sticks. We got to the room and
went to sleep after eating the yummy pizza.
Saturday: Woke up to some messages from James saying he was eating
mashed potatoes, don't ask...We went
to Borders, where I picked up "The Rules of Attraction" which I haven't
been able to find in Mankato. Then we headed on over to this
awesome
used record shop, Rush Mor records, and I picked up Electric Warrior by
T.Rex which I'm completely in love with now. Went across the
street to
the McD's and I got some fries, but this one guy that was working there
shouted out to me, "Damn, if I didn't know you were a girl, I'd swear
you looked just like Harry Potter." I said thank you and
quickly left. We headed on over to Lake Michigan, since I
hadn't been to a Great Lake before. Spent about an hour there,
took
pictures of us pointing at boats, and acted like the Lake Michigan
Pirates. "Arrrr...We've come for yer brewskies." Chased
some ducks
around, and headed back to the hotel where we readied for the
concert.
Went back to Little Ceasar's to get another $5 pizza, where this next
conversation came about.
Scott(who was working, AGAIN)-You guys
again!? I say, if you eat anymore pizza, you'll turn into a pizza.
Now I mean that as a compliment.
Rene, April, and I-nervous laughs
It
was very strange. I'll never forget Scott, we were going to take a
picture of him, but at the time, we misplaced Rene's camera. Went to
the Rave, found out that parking was $18, knew we weren't going to pay
that much for parking, so we headed down a couple of blocks and got to
park for free. We ate our pizza and headed into the club. The line was
pretty short, so I was happy. We waited around for about an hour and a
half, and then they opened the doors. We rushed to the stage and we
were...5 FEET AWAY. I nearly shat my pants, I was so happy. Stood
around for another hour and a half, until Daniel Dempsey came on
stage. He was pretty good, but nothing compared to the Moz. He got
done with his set and then the lights went down, and the Laverne and
Shirley theme song played. I was pretty much crying by this point.
Morrissey came out, and I lost it. My heart felt like it had exploded
and I was very close to passing out. So fucking close to the stage! I
know I made eye contact with him a couple of times. He did quite a few
Smiths songs, which I was pleased with, especially Last Night I Dreamt
Somebody Loved Me. I was about an inch
from touching his hand, damn my short arms. Rene DID touch him, and I
immediately grabbed his hand and licked it before he could. After the show was done, I got some of the
flowers that were thrown on stage, as did April and Rene. I got a
kicking tour shirt, and then bought another one from this guy on a
street corner for only 10 bucks. Ah, bootleg t-shirts. :P Went back to
our room, and was pretty much in shock on how close we were and what an
amazing show it was. Went to bed and had dreams about Morrissey...
Sunday:
Woke up, and looked for
Rene's camera. Raided the Continental Breakfast as we were all
extremely broke and couldn't afford any food on the road. Was *this*
close to taking a picture of me with the Banana truck to give to Joe
Banana and James and whoever else wanted it. Drove back and listened
to Morrissey, Klaus Nomi(AMAZING!), T.Rex, and Velvet Underground. Got
back around 4, and James came over and messed with Jo-Jo's computer.
Told him a lot about the concert, he seemed amused by my reactions.
After about 2 hours of trying to fix her computer, we went to Perkins
and ate some yummy food. He ate my cherry. That's all I'm saying, and
it was sexy. :P Went back to his place and talked to him and Joe about the concert some more, and how
weird it was of me to lick Rene's hand. Psshhhht....Whatever. I don't
think it's weird. The lovely Lola then came over and we laid around
and talked some more about Stud Muffins and other random things.
Poopvette was over, so we didn't get to see Matt till we left. Went
home, and went to sleep.
Monday: Went to school in a very good
mood, and felt like giving everyone hugs, but I didn't. After school,
James picked me up and we went grocery shopping. We went to
Pagliai's and ate some yummy cheese pizza, and James caused me to spill
a crap load of water all over myself. He laughed, I did not. Went to work...went home and to
sleep.
Tuesday: Went to school, still in a good mood, but a bit
out of it. Lola and I have decided that we're going to make stud
muffins for James and whoever else wants them. They'll be hot. I
think that's all that's happened. Hope I didn't bore you too much.
EDIT: This is my edited LiveJournal entry from October 19...I'm too lazy to change tenses. So there...:P
