My brother Jacob's 28th birthday was May 2nd. He has spent his last 4 birthdays out to sea...the persian gulf...dubai...some island...south america. He loves to be at sea though. I know he misses us...his girlfriend...but he is amazing at what he does. My brother...who got in more car accidents then all of us put together drives a multi billion dollar  ship:

I went to Brentwood for a regatta. Brentwood is in Vicotia, BC. So beautiful. The ferry ride there is amazing. Our club got 2nd place in points...last year we got first. The boys won for over all points...the girls came in 2nd I think. I got booted out of my boat. i don't thnk i should have. More politics in rowing then I knew.:/ I am working my but off.

Our boat got second...I think our coach was surprised. I wasn't. I worked my butt off. I love my medal.

I met Connor's mom.. She is really nice and fun.

Two girls in my car were sick...by they time Brenwood was over we were all sick. I went to school feeling like death. I am still coughing so much, but I have not missed crew. . .or school. i can't.

I have become really good friends with one of my team mates...but she will graduate and go away to college. :[

I know there is something between Connor and I...but he is even more shy then me...his mom likes me so that is good.

My mom and I went to visit AC tonight...he looks just like he is sleeping. We couldn't go before because we were both sick...I hope he gets better soon. mu mom bought Susie a ring that said "faith"  and Carly three rings that said " faith"  "hope" and "love". I can't imagine what they must be going through.

I am going to selection camp in Tennesee. I  am so excited. It is more than half of my summer, but I hope I come back so much stronger as a rower. Josie is going too. My parents were a little hesitant to let me go until they knew somwone I knew also got in. That is a long time away from Connor...

My Dad taught me how to drive a stick over the week end. He thought I did well. My brother Jacob gave me his 1998 Honda Civic.It gets much better gas millage then the corvette...which I love but I drive so many miles to and from the boat house. My Dad thinks I can be driving it in a couple of weeks. I still love Stella( my corvette) most of all.

My brother's band is playing a show Saturday night. Connor, Lana and Bennet are suppose to come with me. I am excited.

My goal this week is to kill on my 2k...and to be more brave in other things.

one week away...it felt like a month.

Things that overwhelmed me . . .

2 people we know passed. My mom was sad. My Aunt was sad. It made me sad.

My bestfriend Carly's little brother got in a terrible skateboarding accident. He is still in a coma.

I got in a car accident ...in my mom's car. I got a ticket too... for following too close.

Two of my friends went to rehab.

I gave up soccer...and being captain next year... for crew. It was such a hard choice.

My brother shipped out for 3-5 months. 

My Spanish teacher is crazy..I am not taking her class next year.  I got a B because she refused to let me make-up missed work. She has tenure and can do what she wants.  That's pretty much what our principal told me.

I got sick...but couldn't miss school.

We had a big regatta in Canada. It was an amazing time.

I wish I could  be less shy. It would make my life easier.

That's it....

I have lots of people to get back to and very little free time.

Please forgive me if it takes me awhile..

I didn't mean to make my "taking a little break" out to seem like more than that.

I think it is the first time I ever went a week without logging in or even looking at my xanga.

Good news...I got into this selection camp in Tennensee. It's a rowing camp. It's half my summer, but I am excited. Two other girls from my club got in too. I hope they both go...but I am going even if they don't.

The trip to Bellingham was so very fun! The car ride up and back with Conor was the most fun...even though we almost were killed twice. A semi ran us off the road...and I was bad with some directions. He and I  get along so well.  We are both a little on the weird side :]

We didn't leave for spokane until really late Friday night because I didn't want to miss crew practice. We got to Spokane at about 1 AM and I had to meet the Gonzaga coach at 7 AM. We drove out to the lake they practice at.  It was so beautiful. My Dad and I rode in the lauch with the Varsity coach and one of her assistants.  Oh...and her golden retriever who sat in my lap almost the whole time.

After I showered I met with Channing and put my stuff in her room and then met back up with Coach Flint to tour the the athletic center. The equipment they have for the rowers is amazing! I was impressed with how clean everything was. They even have a study room. I loved it.

I want to attend college there so badly. The coach can't talk to me about attending there until after July 1st.

The weather was beautiful...hot actually. I had to borrow some things from Channing as I hadn't packed anything for warm weather. My mom ran to Nordstrom and bought me a sun dress and some shorts. Our hotel was just 5 minutes away from campus. Channing and I lay out in the sun for about 2 hours. It was so nice..  They were having a springfest thing...lots of live bands were playing. We also went to the baseball game. It was a lot of fun.

Channing took me around to a bunch of parties. I got a little tired of saying "no thanks" to the drink offers, but nobody is going to get me to do somethng I don't want to do. We ended up stranded  at around midnight and I called my brother and he jumped in a cab and came and got us and took us back to Channings dorm. My brother's are amazing. I am so glad I have them to call when things go wrong.

I was proud of myself...I didn't call Matt. He didn't even know I was there.

We got up pretty early and walked to Starbucks and this really yummy bagel place. My parent came and got me around noon and we all went out to lunch.(my two brother's, Sam's girlfriend and 3 of Sam's friends)

My Mom, Dad and I left about 2 hours before everyone else.  I slept ALL the way home.  5 hours :]]

2 weeks until Bentwood. I am sooo excited, but practices are really intense. I am so tired all the time.

Friday night  the other Emily is having a varsity team party for both the boys and the girls. I am excited for that.

Saturday morning is our "ERGATHON" fund raiser. I hope it stops raining! Connor and I are going to do something afterwards.  Not sure what yet. I guess it will kind of depend on the weather. I wanteded to go to the zoo, but he said we need to save that for a really nice day.  Maybe dinner and movie.

The next four days there is WASL testing so Juniors and Seniors have late start.  Yeah! Some sleeping in.  I also have some before school out to breakfast plans.

1% milk, half and half, chocolate milk, sour cream, eggs, butter, blue cheese dressing, cottage cheese, 3 different kinds of humus,yougurt, pad thai sauce, blueberries, dates(no idea why we have these), asiago cheese, parmesean cheese, ramano cheese, pepper jack cheese, monterey jack cheese, swiss, havarti, cheddar , sliced roast beef, black forest ham, buffalo chicken, hot links, raspberry jam, corn and flour tortillias, left over pot roast, carrots, celery, cucumbers, cilantro, radishes, fresh spinich, jalepenos, pepperoncinis, 8 different kinds of hot sauce,diet squirt, ketchup, mustard, pesto sauce, honey mustard, bbq sauce, lemon juice, caesers dressing, 3 kinds of taco sauce, oyster sauce, cream cheese, horse radish, mushrooms, sweet onions, 4 diferent kinds of bullion paste, feta cheese, A-1 sauce, tartar sauce, whipped cream, dill pickles, gatorade, peach propel,one energy drink, my mom's home made minestroni soup and aloe vera gel. oh and a bottle of blackjack ranch chardonnay reserve that my mom is saving for "something special"...it's been in there since october.

wow...more in there than i would have thought.
