A way to describe this year would be
"New Beginning". This year has been full of news and olds, but
one sticks out. I have made "new" friends, "new"
relationships, had "new" experiences, and learned "new"
things. I have shaken off my old self from yester years and have evolved
to a "new" level. This is my new beginning.
A good quote that would go with this year would be from a
song by Coldplay: “I wanna live life, and never be cruel, and I wanna live
life, and be good to you, and I wanna fly and never come down, and live my
life, and have friends around." This describes my year. I have
tried hard to live my life to its fullest. I have made it so that my
schoolwork didn't require my full time so that I had time to be with my
friends. I tried all year to keep a good head and not get mad often. The
stresses of being a teenager in high school have been relentless, but U have
prevailed to have a fun year in the 10th grade.
Recalling all the literary works that we have read
throughout the year, I can relate myself to two characters: John Proctor and
George Milton. I can relate to John from his stubbornness. This
year, I believe that I have become more stubborn and rarely take no for an
answer. This relates to his stubbornness of not giving in to the town's
demands for his confession no matter what the cost, even his life. I have
found myself to not take no for an answer lately. I fight for my side no
matter what the cost, and usually get myself into trouble.
I can relate to George through his skillful ability to plan
out things. Throughout the year, I have gained many friends. Every
time they want to hang out, I am chosen to plan out what we do. The only
exception would be a couple birthdays that were planned by others. Every
time I would plan something, it would turn out to be a good time.
During the course of this year, many things have
happened. Of all, I would say that my greatest achievement would be my
new computer Sidewinder. I built her from scratch, and she works quickly,
efficiently, and perfectly.
<u greatest disappointment would be my work on my term
papers. I worked real hard on my English term paper, and I got a 76% on
it. With my World Civ paper, I didn’t work quite as hard, and I am afraid
that I won't receive a good grade.
This year was above and beyond what I expected it to
be. I thought this was just going to be another year of school, just the
junior high, but it's not, The Senior High School gives this year a new
feeling. A feeling of growing up and evolving from a younger child to a
young adult. I have had more fun in the 10th grade than in any grade thus
far, and am looking forward to the future.
For the future, a goal that I have in mind is to score
high on my PSATs, SATs, and make it into the University
of Pennsylvania. This is a
college that my dad went to, and is one of the best universities in the United
States. I would love to live in the
city for a while as well as study there. I have worked there, and it is a
lot of fun.
Another goal I have is to get and maintain a steady
job. I don’t have a job throughout the year except the summer and I don’t
want to have to depend upon my parents for money. Even getting my own
money, I have to depend upon my parents to get it out of the bank for me.
It would be nice to be able to control my own funds let alone my own life in
the future.
A final goal I have is make all sorts of new friends.
It would be nice if I know the majority of people in the school; to gain a
relationship that lasts, and to finally find love. This may take a while,
bit I still have two years here to do it.
    *Don't Read*
I need to stop being so nosy and passive. Start
becoming aggressive and assertive, but don’t make everyone’s business
yours. Stop depending on others so much. Start doing things for
yourself. If you do, things will get done. Start doing what you are
assigned or asked to do so that you keep a good attitude with your
parents. Respect them, but don’t let them push you around.

Wednesday, October 04, 2006

Wow... long time no see... Even when we left that late, we were still like halfway back in the line. We made our way in and started out tour of the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel. All the pictures are in the Webshots album under Italy: Day 2. Anyway, after around 30-45 minutes, we finally started to go inside. Once inside, we were constantly moving forward listening to what our tour guide had to say and taking many pictures. Every surface is covered with either a painting, a sculpture or a tapestry. The painting are so advanced sometimes as to even look like sculptures. Once we ran through the hallways of art, statue and tapestry, we went down some steps into the Sistine Chapel. It was really interesting to be in there. 4 great artists had lended their skills to make it one of the most impressive buildings to date. Unfortunately due to the recent project that was funded by the Japanese to clean the Sistine Chapel and restore the paintings, no one is allowed to take any pictures or video.....they can go fuck themselves.... Afterwards, we left there, walked through the tombs of the Popes (saw John Paul II & III) and then up into Saint Peters Cathedral. It is probably the largest Church in the world. There are little stars placed on the floor that indicate the size of other large churches around the world (3 in the US) as compared to St Peters. We left there, got lunch, I was mistaken for an Italian, then took a bus to the Roman Forum. Walked through there, went to the Colliseum, then headed home to freshen up and get ready for the Italy v Ukraine game. Wore my new Ballack Jersey (Germany) and we took the Tram over to the Island to watch the game. Got a good ass pizza, was mistaken for a German and was responsible for making at least 2 other people drunk. Got a bottle and took the Tram home. That was all in the middle of the biggest celebration I have ever seen. I dont even think Philly could top that if the Eagles won the Superbowl. I have to say, it is an honor to be in not only the country of my heritage and of the start of democratic civilization as we know it, but to be in Europe as a whole during the world cup....I love this atmosphere and will hate leaving it....Done for day 2...

PCE
Italy: Day 1

So the first day is over..... and after like 3 hours of waiting in the Roman airport cause someone lost their luggage (no one i knew). We got to the hotel... Its really nice. We're on the ground floor right next to the lobby which is pretty convenient. Theres four of us in here: Zach, Brady, Ian, and myself. 2 sofa looking beds and 2 cots. The plugs are really weird, as are the light switches. We got into our rooms and we all passed out till around 430 at which time we rushed the get ready because we were expected at around 5. We left, took the public bus to the ruins of Argentina, and took some pictures. After that, we walked over to the Pantheon and got to wander for 20 min. Most of that time was spent withdrawing Euros because no one had them. I ended up buying a Germany soccer jersey for 10 euro (Ballack). Afterwards, we took a group picture and headed on our way to the next stop. At the time, I thought it was a different Piazza than the Piazza Navona, so that when we were set loose to get dinner and such, I took people in the complete wrong direction for Risturante Passetto. We ended up stopping at some other resturant before we even knew we were lost, so it was whatever. Had a good dinner with a bunch of people and had some laughs. I got some pasta with meat sauce, and we all ended up ordering the house red wine. No one seemed to like it except me. I ended up drinking most of it.... and nothing happened....Angela was worse off than I was. We then wondered the streets looking for some stuff to buy, but nothing caught my fancy.....though a flag did look pretty enticing. Afterwards, we met up back in the Piazza Navona and walked back to the bus stop and took it back to the hotel where I now sit writing this. People are completely wiped out from the walking and the 24+ hours of travel/non-sleeping time. Also, the internet here, even though it is a wifi area, is not free. Get this: 1 hour (ora) for 3 euro, 5 hours (ore) for 5 euro (I chose this one since we dont spend too much time in the room as it is), 24 hours for 15 euro, and 7 days for 40 euro. I think its ridiculous that they make you pay for it, but whatever.... Anyways, its a lot of fun so far. We have to get up at 540 tomorrow!!! Thats 1140pm your time tomorrow.... They are like throwing us straight into the gauntlet. Its interesting though that Angelas phone still works here. She swears she doesnt have an international plan, but shes been texting her dad and brother all day. Her dad even called her, but she didnt answer since our tour guide (who is a pain in the ass) was talking. Well, thats all for now, enjoy the pictures from today on the webshots site!!!: http://community.webshots.com/user/Oreokid200

PCE
Wednesday, May 31, 2006

Well to answer the last entry.....it was too good to be true. And now onto the next one

So i went to the shore for the weekend just like the remainder of Abington. I went to OC with a bunch of people and chilled for the day, then went to Christinas in SH and stayed there till monday. We had a lot of fun just chillin and it was so relaxing to just be at the beach and no other care in the world other than the people around me. No work, no cell phone (its broken sorta), no drama (much), and just being down the shore. Wen i come home, I usually end up feeling depressed. This is probably because I'm not the one who does the driving to and from the shore, so i cant control when i go down. I think I didnt feel that way this time because I drove to and from the beach myself with my friends and now know that I can make it alright. Just leaves a big whole of possibility open for the summer.....god I cant wait.....PCE for now!
Wednesday, April 19, 2006

I wanna know
I gotta know
Is this love that I’m feelin’?

or is is too good to be true?

Monday, March 27, 2006

Dane: "This is gods way of telling us to pull our pants down cause we just got fucked in the ass"

That pretty much somes up my weekend ^^^^^^^^^
