MIssion Trip Update

I wanted to inform everyone on my list of peeps that I am going to Mexico on a mission trip! I am trying to raise some money and here are some ways that I am doing so.

1) I am selling ALL my books that I own.  You can check them out on this website

) I am going to have a yard sale in Marion Ohio- Don't really know who all is going to beable to come to that - but there will be a booth set aside for donations and stuff that I am selling for Mexico- Jason will be selling some art- and I'll be selling alot of Home decor stuff- cloths - and some baby cloths! there will also be a bake sale
( Not sure when I'll be doing that - probably in one month- I'll keep you posted!!)

And I would like to extend the fact that I do take personal checks for my Mexico Mission trip- You can put that in the Memo- Mexico Mission Trip. so yes I do take donations.

Are You the Rich man?!

Here is something to think about

How much do you know God?  Are you at the point of no return? Are you and Jesus buds?  You know God like the back of your hand! or how about I have no clue who this God really is....

I just recently was helping out a friend- whom thinks they met their peek of knowing God.  Personally- I think the only peek of us knowing God as humans should be on our death bed- we should always be learning new things about God- and if your not- its not at the fault of God- but the fault of the believer....

1. Don't turn your back on God- You won't see him if you're turned around the other way- and he may not here you if your talking to the wall instead of him.( I'm preaching to everyone on this one.)

2.  I think its a little funny when people are dissapointed in " how God handles things" ei; old testament judgements vs. Christ love and mercy in the New testament.

3: We should expect that the things that God does is because he does it for the best.... why do we as people automatically think that we know whats going on- IN THE WHOLE UNIVERSE!

 here's a little story about the Rich man

there once was a rich man who followed Gods footsteps since he was a young boy... he did all the rules- regulations, and stuff like that.  Well he knew the scriptures and knew about Jesus- so he got the courage to come up to jesus and ask- " WHAT MORE CAN I DO?" and also told him that he knows the rules and loves the rules and all that jazz- basically- he said to jesus - I know You - but jesus loved him for knowing what he knew- and obeying what he knew- But it was time for him to know another side of God that he didn't know...

his reply- "SELL EVERYTHING!"

 he walked away sad- this is something he wasn't expecting- a character of God was revealed to him that he didn't like so much....

now the question is here for you the reader-  If God reveals a distasteful charachter to you- are you just going to walk away and pretend it was never mentioned... or are you going to be like- " God- I don't understand; but i know you know best.... so reveal to me the understanding." 

Maybe my theology is totally messed up.... HA HA - but I think because of this type of thinking- there is so much division in the church - so many denominations...

but anyway- make it your own personal thing!

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok so I am totally stoked about leaving AAA- I mean I got today and tomorrow to deal with and then I don't have to deal with it ANYMORE!  How exciting is this?-

And I start Verizon on the 10th- which gives me a few days to get my house in ORDER!! it so Desperately needs.... I need to do some major Spring cleaning if you know what I mean.... So I am glad that I get a couple of weeks off - although its no pay- but thats ok .... We'll be ok.....

on another note.... Ellie's birthday party is this weekend.... I probably have to bake her cake.... because well....I didn't order one.... which is fine... because its kinda EXPENSIVE... but thats ok.... I am having a Winnie the Pooh party.... Kinda.... But anyway... She will be 1 year old...

This is what she's accomplished....- Yesterday she took 3 whole steps BY HERSELF!! Yeah- not holding onto anything.... it was kinda funny looking.... I spun her around a few times yesterday to make her dizzy... I think she liked it because she started to spin around herself .... (She didn't succeed that well)

She's been saying little words like - Light and Resting.... its quiet funny because Jason and I will be having a conversation and she usually repeats the last word that we say... But anyway- She can also point to your eyes and your nose-( Its a game we play to point out parts of our face.) She's getting good at it...

Now I want to work on her colors...Like the primary- RED, Blue, and Yellow....She's such a smart little girl.... And- She also knows the motions to 2 songs...." If Your Happy and You Know it." and the" Bumble Bee" song... Its great... She's developing quite nicely... ha ha

Well thats All I gots to say right now! Nothing else new is going on....I'll try to update more frequently

Comfortable.

You know what I was just thinking about? And I'm not sure how many will agree- or just argue about it...

But seriously-  Are you comfortable?  Are you comfortable in your Spiritual walk with the Lord... Are you comfortable in your living conditions...this is a BIG DEAL in christian society-  like " If your comfortable....as a Christain... You're not really living a christian life"  - Not that your NOT a christian - just you're not totally living it.... And its funny because most of the time the people that DO say that - usually are comfortable...

How often are you challenged in your spiritual walk? How often have you stepped out on BLIND faith... I'm not talking about knowing that there is someone to fall onto- like family or something... I mean comming to the point where you're like " AAAHHHHH Take Control of the SITUATION!!!" type of deal-

Honestly its been a while for me... and I am one of those comfortable Christians out there... I'm not in any position to say that I have enough faith to move mountains... others would say different... and sometimes I do feel like I have faith... not to say that God doesn't use me - because he does-

Its just hard because there is so much more GOD out there- I don't even have the basics yet- And its kidna foolish of me to be so complacent...(sp?)  But I notice its not just me - but its ALOT of us .... i just pray that we break out of it...
