Just a little florist update...

I have been in contact with the other brides that hired this florist and apparently...I got off easy...I am one of the lucky ones. One girl's wedding in in about 6 weeks but she is out $2100. Another girls wedding was two weekends ago and she was at her wedding waiting for her flowers to show and they never did. I have gotten a new florist and he is fabulous!!! Way better!!! Apartently, one girl went to a Bridal Show to find another florist, and while there she ran into our original florist who had a booth and was drumming up new business under a different company name.They ran a story on channel 5 about our florist, several of us girls called it in. We also have filed a complaint against her with the Better Business Bureau. The girl whose flowers never showed up has hired a lawyer. He reviewed all of her paperwork and then contacted everyone else involved. Upon reviewing everything from all of us, he determined that this was not a simple case of unfortunate circumstances for the lady and her business that motivated a bankruptcy filing, but rather a case a fraud. Therefore, we have all filed criminal charges against her wiith the Mansfield police department. Each of us filed 2 charges: fraud and theft. Each of us has also filed civil lawsuits against her with the city of Mansfield. And also we have each taken out a "lean" on her house. This means that if she should try to sell her house they wont be able to without going to court...and when they go to court, the court can award each of us our claim from the monies from the sale of their home. This prevents her from skipping out of town.

It is upsetting to be trying to do all of this right before my wedding...BUT...at the same time it is a little exciting to be doing things like filing lawsuits and criminal charges. The Nancy Drew and "LAW and ORDER" viewer in me is in overdrive!!!

3 WEEKS FROM TODAY I GET MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, we have made is almost 10 months problem free in regards to the wedding. Everything has been going wonderfully.

So...why less than 30 days from my wedding would a florist choose to file for bankruptcy?!

She will walk with our money and we get no flowers!!!!!!!

Doesn't she know that the last type of person you want to piss off is a Bride one month from her wedding

It seems like everything is a coutdown lately....I look back at my posts and see ...this many days till this or that many days till something else. Like, 1 month from today we will be in our new apartment...or 38 days till the wedding. I count down till the wedding, I count down till we move in the apartment, I counted down the new school year...I am tired I of counting I just want everything to be here!

And just when it all ends...and I could call it quits on counting....

Then begins the coutdown till CHRISTMAS

Well...Sunday began the two month coutdown to the wedding...and boy are we ready...

I CANT WAIT!!!!!
