Summer In Review

I am giving up xanga.  Let's say it's for the high holy days, except it lasts forever.

Besides, I am about to hit my fourth anniversary on this webpage, and that's sort of embarassing.

Enjoy the archives, and pleasure bloggin' witchu.

HEY SCHOOL TOMORROW I HAVE MORE IMPORTANT THINGS THAN THE INTARWUBS.

Currently Listening: Tu Mi Piaci
- All We Ever Wanted Was Everything

Skedj 2006-2007

I.  AP Literature - Murphy
II.  Kaleidoscopic Advanced Mathematics II - Karafiol
III.  A.P. Calculus B.C. - O'Roark
IV.  Mixed Media Art - Burstein
V.  Block Lunch
VI - VII.  A.P. Physics - Dyson
VIII.  Japanese II - Kimmel

I.  Oh joy, I'm out at St. Joe's.  But really, reading is fun.
II.  Ten student class. ¡Viva Gregor Cantor!
III.  Yeah.  Differentiation and Integration.  Whatever.
IV.  Hey, I'm taking an art class!  Isn't that weird?
V.  Block (Off Campus) Lunch.  Sweet momma, I should just go home to eat.
VI-VII.  Three and a half hours of physics-loving fun every wednesday.  You can't push a rope.
VIII.  This teacher loves me.  I love this language.  I know it doesn't add up, but it comes out good.

Verdict:  This is the best schedule I could have hoped for senior year.

Currently Listening: Amputechture
- Tetragrammeton

On Obsession, Drama

It is two thirty in the morning and I cannot go to sleep because my room is not sufficiently clean.  Gotta love back to school.  Speaking of which - holy shit!  I am a senior!  This is exciting, now, isn't it?

I attended a wonderful production of PV&A VS TFI with a whopping cast of characters I recognized, among them Dan Winkler!  Break it down, now!

+ Holy shit, Laura Cathey!  Eric Roth!  Stephen Melamed?!  People I haven't seen bonanza!
+ Your new favorite band is the Aethernotes.  So entertaining.  Can't getchu outta my head.
+ Special FX like you wouldn't believe.  Check those lights, son!
+ Best fight choreography!  Props to Eric!
+ Olivia, you were a wonderful Space Princess.
- Due to the extreme amount of death and violence in this production, I can advocate seeing it to nobody.  Senseless...

INTARNET SARCASM ROFL I HAVE PROBLEMS WITH CLEANING MY HOUSE.

Currently Listening: When I Said I Wanted to Be Your Dog
- You Are The Light (By Which I Travel Into This And That)

Doctor! Doctor!

So I woke up this morning and had these awful chest pains.  I was convinced from that moment that my family history was catching up to me and I was going to have a heart attack.  I tasted copper, felt my arm shoot and my left jaw seize with pain because I believed "Yes, this is it.  Right now, don't fuck it up.  Just die gracefully."

But I wasn't thinking about all of the life experiences I was going to miss, or how terrified I am of facing the same medical crap that has plagued my family.  My first thought to myself was that I was going to die and everyone would think of me as some ridiculous fatass for having coronary failure before age seventeen.

But it's alright, the doctors say I just really fucked up some muscles around my heart.  Ow.

Maybe this year I'll look forward to my birthday.

Obligatory Summer Update

I.  Sometimes I get mail during the summer.  Sometimes it contains very, very good news.

II.  Watching the World Cup is a very, very frustrating business.

III.  Today I had a college interview.  It went well, so my hopes are up, but here's the most interesting question I was asked:  "What is truth?  What is beauty?"  Any takers?

IV.  The Electrolights played a good show at the Beat Kitchen, and are presumably doing an acoustic set now.

V.  In case you all wondered what I was studying this summer.
