  • Happy New Year, Everyone!

     

    We plan on resuming speech practices next week:

    Monday, January 7

    Thursday, January 10

     

    Also, there are two January tournaments:

    Saturday, January 12: Union Catholic High School in Scotch Plains, NJ (with the Catholic League)

    Saturday, January 26: Ridge High School in Basking Ridge, NJ (with the New Jersey League)

     

    IMPORTANT: Please let me (Miss G.) know if you are able to compete in these tournaments (or if only one, which date you prefer).

  • Hi Everyone!

     

    We’re looking ahead to 2008 and our Speech Club schedule. 

    We hope to participate next on Saturday, January 12, at Union Catholic High School in Scotch Plains.  After our recent tournament, we’ve seen that the NCFL (Catholic league) is smaller, friendlier, and better for us as beginners.

     

    (Then, we hope to aim for two more tournaments at Ridge High School on Saturday, January 26 and Saturday, February 2 – one is NFL and the other is NCFL).

     

    Please let me know if you would be able to come to the JANUARY 12th tournament!  I’ll need you to RSVP as soon as you know.

     

    As for practices, we’ll shoot for the following dates:

     

    Monday, January 7

    Thursday, January 10

     

    Monday, January 14

    Thursday, January 17

     

    We’re very proud of you girls and all the hard work you’re doing!  Please write or call with any questions or concerns.  I hope you have a wonderful, restful, blessed Christmas break.

  • Speech Club – Saturday, December 15, 2007

     

    Location:
    Ridge High School

    268 South Finley Avenue

    Basking Ridge, NJ  07920

     

    1. Arrival time:  Please arrive no later than 8:30 am.  We will plan to be there until approximately 5:30 pm.  Your child will call you during the day to confirm the pick-up time.
    2. Directions: The high school is easily reached from Route 78 or Route 287.  You may use Google Maps (or another source) to get directions.
    3. Dress code: Business professional
    4. Money needed: Please bring $10 for the registration fee as well as some money for lunch (or you may bring your own lunch, snacks, etc.)
    5. What to bring: Your script (hard copy), book to read if there is extra time? / homework to do?, cell phone
    6. Miss Gergulas’ cell: 973-945-4239

    This is just a note to let you know that there will be NO SPEECH PRACTICE next week:

    No practice on Monday, December 17th or on Thursday, December 20th.
