Why Revival Tarries

I've been extremely busy lately with uni assignments lately, but thought I should just direct you to two interesting articles. Posted by others. I've copied them here with their sources.

=======================

It seems Ted Haggard is no longer interested in ’spiritual restoration’ since he has quit the counseling program he had been involved with. Fox News reports

The megachurch founded by Pastor Ted Haggard said Tuesday he has prematurely ended a “spiritual restoration” process begun when he was fired for sexual misconduct. … New Life said in a written statement that “the process of restoring Ted Haggard is incomplete and (New Life) maintains its original stance that he should not return to vocational ministry.” Haggard and his family moved to Phoenix last year. As part of a severance package that paid Haggard through 2007, he agreed to leave Colorado Springs and not talk about the scandal publicly. But Haggard made public an e-mail asking for financial support, drawing a rebuke from the restoration team.

Brian McLaren, denies penal substitutionary atonement and the doctrine of hell. He then quotes Paul Washer and implies that Paul Washer is a heretic.

As posted by Truth Matters

McLaren - Heretic..."Quoting" Paul Washer?

I'm almost positive McLaren is "quoting" Paul Washer at the 1:45 mark of this video...

Was McLaren quoting Paul Washer? Listen to Paul Washer below...from the 3:40 minute mark - 7 minute mark.

For which one? The Ted Haggard one or the Brian McLaren one?

OK Ted is a perv.

I'll watch them again, I just don't see how they relate to each other.

They are two unrelated articles. Just posted them together. Sorry for the confusion.

Oh. you mean the two videos? Paul Washer was teaching on the cross and penal substitutionary atonement. Brian McLaren quotes Paul washer and implied that Paul was a heretic. In rejecting penal substitutionary atonement, Brian McLaren shows himself to be a heretic and not a Christian.
