Man, I can't believe how slow-fast this week was.  I mean, I'm thankful it's Thursday already, but boy it sure arrived...uhm...kinda late? -LoL-

The first 3 days zoomed by, but today?

It was uber slow, and I dunno why.

I'm supposed to be enjoying my long weekend this weekend, but instead I'm here at work doing a 10-3 shift.  Not that I blame being scheduled to work today.  My Manager asked me Friday if I don't mind working Monday, and since I know majority of the time I spend my long-weekeds being UNproductive, I agreed to work today in the hopes of getting a day in lieu of at a later date for working today's shift.

My sister-in-law and brother decided to have my nephew's 2nd birthday celebration yesterday as opposed to next weekend (which happens to be his actual birthday weekend).  Both my brother and sis-in-law will be working next weekend and I understand that on top of work and preparing for a party, it'll be too much.  Now I don't know what to get my nephew (who also happens to be my godson as well).

It's hard to buy gifts for just about EVERYONE today.

I don't want to buy him clothes because he has enough already.  Same with toys (plus my brother will wring my neck if I buy him any more toys!!!!).  As for books...I give him books on a whim anyway so yeah, that doesn't count. -LoL-  Maybe I'll just give him another persnoalized bday card and a picture collage and money for his birthday.  His parents can deposit it in to his own bank account and he can use it when he's old enough.  From what I heard from my bro and sis-in-law, my nephew's "richer" than all of us right now because ever since he was born, all the monetary gifts he received, his parents deposited it in to his own bank account and just saved it, which was really a very smart thing to do.

It's already after 1pm; I have less than 2 hours to  go before I call it a day.  So far the phone lines were quiet and I did mostly outbound calls, which was fine with me.  I'm trying to finish up these call backs that was left for me to do by the rep who worked this past Saturday (she gets tomorrow off in lieu of working Saturday).  And I have one more call back to do regarding an emailed advertisement placement.  I guess that'll take up my time.

And I'll probably work on writing some one-shot crossover fics.  I'm kinda inspired to write some anyway. -LoL- We'll see how that goes. -grins-
