Its kind of funny how God is great.
I mean, you know those times when you don't feel like things are going according to your plans?
Or that you have absolutely no idea where you are in your life or where to proceed next?
No? Oh, well, maybe its just me..
Anyways, about God's greatness, He really can surprise you.
To me it feels as though He answers the questions I haven't been able to put in words yet.
His love is so overwhelming.
Sometimes when He gives those peeps into His great love for you it just brings you to your knees.
Maybe thats why His glory is veiled and hidden from our eyes, because if it werent we'd be spending our time marvelling His amazing qualitied instead of doing anything else.

Sometimes you hear from these"Great" Men and Women of God whose lives have been full of miracles and supernatural faith. It makes me want that kind of faith.
You know those preacher men in front of big crowds?
People see them and their name is known to others.
Others might envy them for how God is using them in such a spectacular way.
Others might critisize them and claim they are fake.
People like to talk about themselves.
Tell the audience of their encounters with God..
Not much wrong with that, though there never is waterproof "How to"-manual for encountering God personally.
He really doesn't like to do it our way, since His Way is way much better. And that means His schedule as well.
You know what..
Though the Christian public speakers, preasts, bishops and other title holders might be regarded as "True Christians" (Which indeed might be the case) , have you ever paid attention to those Christians who work behind the scenes?
For example the person who takes care of the church and sets the place ready for services?
I talked to one verger and have watched their working hours. Sometimes its just crazy.
And we, who sit in the church benches, might take a clean open curch, with candles, lights, psalms on the wall etc for granted. The working hours are long and most of the time they have to work during the days off, since there are services on those days.
People easily go to the priest/speaker and say things like "Good speech", or "your words were really touching", etc. but who encourages the ones who work invisibly behind the scenes?

I talked to one verger and was really touched by what he said.
When I used to work with him, he would tell me more of his life and his relationship with God.
Its amazing. He trusts God like a child trusts his father. He does not boast on what God has taught him, told him, or what he has done, he only tells the story how it happened.
Maybe that is the kind of humblity Moses had when he said

Numeri 12:3 Now Moses was a very humble man, more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth.

He is not bragging. Its a statement.
So in the same way, this man can tell about how God has touched his life without being even a bit proud of it.
After all, he is the one who works behind the scenes and rarely gets credit for his work.
But the touching thing is this:
He does not do the workd he does for people, but for God.
In the end, it was God who called him to do it.
He told me that though he doesn't get credit for it now, in the end he will.

Amen, weather we do a job that gives us the spotlight or not, we have to be aware that our hard work never goes unnoticed, but at the end Jesus who sees everything will give us the thanks.

EEVA

PS: I was in Kankaanpää in sley's evankeliumijuhlat and it was very pleasant though at first I hesitated how it would end up. But God was faithful and I got to see my precious friends and make new ones as well.
God bless Eeva's friends, yes, you as well.

Only Jesus matters.

Only Jesus matters.

You know the feeling of stress, exhaustion, tiredness and weariness?
The feeling that is so overwhelming that you would want to go to your room and cry out, but you can not.
Not yet.
You still have a test to study to, a camp or a meeting to attend or just something to do, so that you can not let yourself crumble.
Not just yet.

Sometimes when school, my hobbies or anything really, becomes a burden and the feeling of tiredness and stress creeps up one me, I feel like crying.
But I try to hang in there.
Just one more day, I tell myself, but eventually I can not take it anymore.

In those kind of situations God reminds me of one simple principle:
"Only Jesus matters"
Think about it; our lives are not in our hand, they are in Gods hands, and He sees what is going on.
When we worry and stress we fail to realize what is the most important thing in life.
It is Jesus, and you know why?
All the problems you may be struggling in now, will only get worse without Jesus.
The Biggest trouble you would get into, after you die, has been fully paid.
The debt of your actions no longer exists.
The mistakes youve made have been forgiven, and the reason why it is so, is because Jesus suffered the debt for you.
He took the punishment for you.
And when we keep this in mind, what is there to worry again?
Who cares about a stupid test anyways, when we are waiting for Jesus' return as the King of Kings?
Who cares of a little bit of stress when in heaven we will be complitely stress free.

So why not leave our worries to Him who can make things better?

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do no let yourselves be burdened again by the yoke of slavery." Gal 5:1

Eeva

Faith

Hey

I just woke up from a two hour nap. I was really overly tired.
Now I still have some school stuff to write and some exams to read to, but I decided to take some time and write something anyways... You know how it is when it comes to having to do you homework and you end up doing everything else but the thing you should be doing. This is one of those moments.

Anyways, recently I've been having interesting discussions about faith.
Its funny how the conversations at the beginning might go to "scientific" paths or logical reasoning.
Maybe it is because these are matters, which are in our comprehension, and therefore safe subjects.

When the topic goes to God, Jesus, faith, life after death and such abstract, invisible matters, it is harder, and maybe even a bit more frightening, to talk about them.
But then again so it should be.
Maybe some people avoid thinking about God and Jesus because the thought of an almighty God existing can be frightening.

To me its not scary at all.
But this is because I know who God is, and that He is love, and that through His Son I have eternal life.
But maybe to people who do not know these things, facing a holy God is something you do not want to do.
That would mean, in the end, that we are responsible for our actions.

What do you think.
What are the questions youre thinking about faith?

Eeva

Oh!
By the way, check this site out:
http://www.livingdinos.com/mokele_mbembe.html
So cool :D
It is about a dinosaur found in Congo.
Hello People!

Hello You people.
Sorry for refering to you people like this.
I know it might sound rude, but at least theres the people-part?

*Hmm.. I guess today is one of those days, if you know what I mean...Huh? You dont know what I mean?... Funny, I could've sworn..
-Well, it doesnt matter, now does it? I mean, who knows what youre speaking of anyways?
*Are you saying people don't get me? That I'm ununderstandable?.. Hidoi.. *pout*
-Ahem.. Well, if you'd clear your point a bit then maybe I'd be able to get you..
*Are you getting on me?
-..Wha? Getting on..? I don't even-
*I knew It. Thats what they all do... They try to get at me.
-Mmm.. right. I think you lost me there already.
*Sou ka... Well I better make a point then now shouldnt I?
-That would be advisable, yes.
*To be all sharp and in action and all?
-Well, you can put it that way too..
*To get my reputation back and all?
-I'm not sure if you had a reputation to begin with, but..
*..sou ka. So?
-Hmh? What?
*Whats my point?
-Arent you supposed to know your own point?
*But you are me?
-Huh?
*Can't you see? This is one of those days.
-If I know what you mean?
*Yes.
-And I do, don't I?
*Yes.
-I see.. So the point should come now, right?
*Yes.
-The point is... umm, it is OK to have those weird days, when you feel like having a dialgue on your own.
it is perfectlu normal. Even Eeva does it sometimes to clear her weirdeevathoughts.
How was that?
*Ahem, I can't believe you referred to yourself in the third person..
-I was talking about you.
*You are me.
-Oh, right..Now this dialogue could affect our reputation.
*Unfortunately I think we didn't have one to begin with.

Anyways.
Summer is on its way and I'm glad.
Can't wait to get to do all those summery things
Now all I have to do is write, umm, 4 essays, and do 4 exams.
Pain, but Ill survive.

Now I gotta do something educative and get myself off the computer.
Maybe next time Ill write something jätte intressant, aka super interesting.

oh, btw, in case you didnt notice, i updated my site.
And please feel free to check on my pics. I put some Asian drama ones

Eeva

^^

Ciao!

Today is the day Jesus steps into heaven after he died and resurrected.
That means that all this time from Easter to this day He was hanging around people visibly and physichally. Cool.

Anywaysss..
What interesting would I have to tell you guys today, huh?
Well, lately Ive been checking out Japanese grammar structures from the net, also searched for a "learn Korean"-site and a "Make Chinese easier"-site.
Well.. actually the last one was just a basic Chinese-English-dicionary, but that does make Chinese easier, 對不對?

Yesterday I was in Judo.
Good old Judo.
I had a good time.

I was also wondering what people are interested in learning these days?
Probably everyone has ones own interests whether its Biology, Astronomy, History, sports, or colecing stuff or whatever.
But in General new information is kind of interesting.
Unexpected things such as existing dinosaurs or evidence of a global flood are interesting, right? At least For me they are :P
And thats what matters since Im the keeper of this Informative Interesting Realm!
Mwhahahaa.... hah... hmm... it just doesnt make any sence does it?
No?
I thought so..

Back to the subject, whatever it was again, Let me share some of my personal interests with you people:

When I was a 7-year-old kid, I used to run around barefoot in the green grasses of Africa.
Thats right, Africa. Tanzania to be more precise. The sun would set early letting the darkness cover the land. But that was when the bright crystals of the night-time would light up in the sky revealing Gods magnificent creativity. Dozens of stars sparkling in the darklue sky was just something I could stare at for a long long time. Thats when my imagination would be let loose and I would drift into a whole new place. A place between just me and God.
During my time in tanzania I had grasped two new languages: English and Swahili. I think it was from that point on I felt fascination towards different languages.
It wasn't until we moved to Northern Finland when I found out about a country called Japan. Of course I had heard about it before, but now I was intrigued by it. Through that interest I found my way to Japanese comic, anime and from there to Chinese dramas, which inevitably led to Korean ones, and ten years after returning from Africa I found myself studying different languages in a university abroad.
Starting from childhood I had always been encouraged in art. Mainly drawing, painting. And after Africa, the dark winter nights in Finland offered me time and inspiration on drawing and imaginative comics and stories.
Moving to a smal town in Finland straight from the heat of Africa, wasnt a bad thing in the end. The same sparkling stars covered the darkblue sky, except for the fact, that now I could no longer lay on the ground watching the stars, because of the cold snow. At least not for a long time. But I could still continue climbing trees, exploring the nature and swimming, although the surrounding were more different.
Sometimes I wish i could find a good tree to climb over here. Then I would climb it all the way up one evening to get closer to the stars that have always shone on me.
Come to think of it.. I have had such a blessed and rich childhood.
All thanks to my Daddy in heaven for that.

Anyways, in Highschool I began enjoying discussing life-death topics with people.
I mean mainly faith, Jesus, God and beginning of the world, meaning of life and such.
And surprisingly I found people who were as interested in it as I was.. or lets just say, almost as interested. It might be hard to be as interested as I am in discussing about God, if one is holding the view that there is no God. But either way I enjoyed discussing these matters.
It is always interesting to find out about different views.
I wish Id get to meet more of these people so that I can have a nice chat...

Eeva

Tuesday, April 01, 2008

I was surfing the net as I found this interesting site and one site just led to another..
In the end I ended up laughing so hard with my older brother to these Engrish quotes.
I hope you enjoy :P

FUNNY ENGLISH NOTICES AROUND THE WORLD!

In a Tokyo Hotel:
Is forbidden to steal hotel towels please. If you are not a
person to do such thing is please not to read notis.

In a Bucharest hotel lobby:
The lift is being fixed for the next day. Finally I gathered some determinatin to go to bed. I brushed my teeth and crept into my room and threw myself on my bed.
Though I was tired my head was full of irrelevant thoughts. It was as though my mind was having a dialogue on its own. Judo, relationships and faith were my main themes that night. I was trying to figure out myself, which was kind of hard. I had always thought I knew myself, and maybe I do, but clearly not well enough.
After one snowy evening, when I was discussing with a friend, I realised something. After that discussion things just weren't the same. I had discovered some things with the friend and it triggered a bigger reaction in me than I had expected. There is just so much to learn...

I leaned over my desk and yawned. The snow was steadily falling down from the sky covering the dark earth into a white veil. I was tired, but I couldnt sleep. I looked at the small clock next to me. Quarter past two am. I sighed. Maybe if I went for a walk My thoughts would be cleared from the smog they seemed to dwell in. I brighened up and grabbed my coat from near the door and peered once more outside. Still snowing, I smiled.
The night was cool and crispy and the stars were clearly visible. White snowflakes danced down from the sky just to melt on my coat. What was it that I wanted to share with the person? The question got me offguard. What person? Was this my bored mind trying to begin a conversation again, I pondered as I walked down a narrow path. It was true though, and it didnt take me long to realize I wanted to share more of myself...

Eeva

Jesus has Risen from the dead!

The title says it all.

Eeva

You know..

You know..

God is really amazing.
So many things have been happening during such a short time.
I really can't even comprehend all of it, but I do know that Jesus is so amazing.
Gods love for us is more wonderful and big than I can even understand.

I know God loves me, but today it was those little things He said and did that made me smile.
You know how everyone has ones own language, way of speaking or humour.
Well..
