Had a great time in Nova this past weekend, as usual!! Thanks to everyone who donated to me last minute for the Race for the Cure. I need to improve on my fundraising skills, but at least I met my goal  Had a good time at the race, but it was pure chaos! Picture 60,000+ people taking the metro to one street! I can now say that I know what a can of sardines feels like, and how it feels to have the metro doors close on you. Thankfully the metro was only crowded before the race and not afterwards! Having an intimate experience w/ someone’s sweaty armpit is not my idea of fun.  Anyways, I ran/walked/stood around with Tushar, Kelley, and Elaine during the race. Us cheapskates didn’t pay the extra $5 to get our numbers early, so we waited in an uber long line to get our numbers…and this is on top of being late! After finally getting our numbers, we headed over to the starting line around 8:30. Fashionably late of course….30 minutes after the race had already started  We were stuck behind the walkers, and finished the race in a whopping 60 or so minutes. That’s gotta be a record…the longest time to finish a race. Ah well, we still had fun, and Tushar definitely had too much energy during the race. Next time we’re doing a longer race with less people and paying the extra $5. Congrats to Alan, Steven, Hino, Vanessa, Danny, Jeremiah, Mel, Seong and everyone else who finished the race.
