| Well congratulations to everyone we have made it through another summer and i am sure that we are all looking forward to going back to school.... Remeber school starts on Wenesday September 7th even thought it shouldn't start untill like the end of September... Oh well... lets just hope that we dont have to wear our I.D.s around our neck all day! | | |
| And here is goes again...
"Begining this fall, all high school students throughout LBUSD will be
required to wear their I.D. around their neck before they are allowed
to enter the campus."~High Life(The Poly Newspaper)
Reasons why this is just dumb:
1.) How many people would honostly go on to the poly campus unless they
had to... how many people would go on to any school campus unless they
had to? i would think none... come on its the ditchers they have to
worry arbout. What are they afraid of that the terrorist are going to
attack some little school in Long Beach?
2.) If somebody accidentally forgets their I.D. they will have to get
into some long line so that they can be identified that they are part
of Poly. So, if you want to be late to classes all you have to do is
claim that you dont have your I.D. or, those of us that want to go to
school (who really to?) cant get in to lean what ever we were looking forward to learning.
3.)It is not going to work... there is not enough staffmembers to "man"
all of the enterances so even if I.D.s are checked for there is going
to be one gate that people can slip through... ex: My friend and I do
not get dropped off at the main enterance, but at a side gate... so on
the day that we were having backpack screenings we walked across the
tennis courts, which were un locked. A whole lot easier thatn walking
all the way aroung....
There are three, probably more but definatly three reasons why LBUSD is so dumb.

| Okay, isn't it great to be a freshman... we HAVE to take a computer literacy class, how pathetic, the sad thing is that most of us are probably more computer literate then most of the people in the "district" (refering to the head people there). The sad thing was that i knew this was going to happen, about a year ago my grandma cut out a article out of the newspaper (she does this sometimes) and gave it to me, it was titled "Computer literacy drives out drivers Ed."... i should have believed it, i should have belived it... You all know that this is thanks to thte nice wonderful person, Bill Gates, the ignorant people of the distict, all of the morons, and our other wonderful person, arnold...(sw...., howeverits spelled) ... the governator. | | |
| Okay... back to poly... to you people that bought the tiles to "leave your legacy" thank you, if you didnt but the tiles then I would have never been able to paint mine. By the way, to those of you that did buy tiles didnt it advertise that the tiles were 8" x 8"? how come they were only 6???? what a rip, a 20 dollar 36 square inch tile..... geez.. | | |
