| Wednesday 02/11/04- I woke up really late, probably at 6:25, and I rushed to get everything together. I woke up my dad and we left. I totally forgot my toothbrush and toothpaste so I had to come back home on the way to school. After I got everything together, we went to the high school to meet everyone to go to Ridge. Everyone was there except for Ian Walker. So I didn’t feel SO bad about being late. We left from the high school, and we headed for Ridge. We dropped our luggage under the bus, and we said our goodbyes. We were on the bus for a while because we were early and the first one there. Today was the beginning of my great trip. Everyone on the bus was really cool. The unexpected happened when Jill told me that she saw Noelle Tangrea. I was flipping out, I thought Jill was messing around with me, but she was telling the truth! She sat in front of Matt, lucky bastard. All I could do was stare, haha. We decided to sing some songs together because we were getting tested as soon as we arrived to the Sheraton. We stopped by a rest stop and ate some McDonald’s. The funniest thing was when Ryan had his wrapper from his wrap on his back. It had a piece of tape on it and it stuck to his back. He had no idea it was on him until all the food fell out of it. I was watching this all in slow motion, I couldn’t help myself but to laugh as hard as I could. Then we all cleaned up and went to play the ball machine. We probably spent 10 dollars on the ball machine. We went back on the bus, and we continued our trip. The most bizarre thing happened; my CD player didn’t work at all. I think the off button is stuck. I had to borrow Jill’s CD player for testing. Then Adam and I helped each other by testing each other. We were pretty well prepared, except I couldn’t do Ave Maria. We finally arrived to Boston and we went into the Sheraton. We got our free disposable camera, t-shirt, some documents, and our room keys. After confused as hell on as where the elevator was, I finally made it to our room; 1661. Abe’s room was just next to us, so it was cool. We were all pretty nervous about the testing, so we decided to go down early. We went to floor 3, the testing floor, and I was amazed on how many people were there. We all cut people because Jill was near the front. We finally got the down-low on the testing pieces, and they decided to test us on the easiest songs; Alleluia, How can I keep from singing, and Come, Thou fount of every Blessing. We all tested with flying colors and I called Laura to tell her everything was fine. Something funny that happened during testing was when Abe was looking inside the testing room, and Mr. Pedas thought he was looking through someone’s private room. It was hilarious. After testing finished, we got our I.D.’s and more documents. The next thing we had to do was go get our dinner. Mrs. Wellman wanted to treat us at the California Pizza place, but we wanted to eat at Dicks. It was a fun experience. We all got these hats where they said funny stuff. My hat said “ask me about my rash”. The funniest was Eddie Han’s “My butt itches and my finger smells”. The food there was pretty good, I would go there again. After eating we had to go to practice. It was a pretty fun rehearsal because I sat next to a lot of people from my school, Abe, Steve, Nick, and Adam. We finished our practice and had to go to bed. I called Kara to tell her my day and goodnight. We talked for a while. Then I called my sister and rents. The chaperone was really bad; she didn’t have any sense of humor at all. So after dealing with the unemotional chaperone, I went to take a shower and then sleep. For the first time, all the guys slept on the bed, it was fine.
Thursday 02/12/04- We woke up early, and we all went to see what the breakfast was like, like usual, the breakfast sucked, but it was edible. After eating breakfast, we all went to rehearsal and sang some more. Then we had little breaks in between. Steve and I were drooling over Red3, well, more me than him. She’s so beautiful. I was so scared whenever she got near. I’m pretty sure she knew I was looking at her 24\7. After our breaks, we got to see the Newark Boy’s Choir and another choir from NJ. ROCK ON NJ! They were amazing. Sometimes I wish our choir was like those vocal musicians, but we can never cause, it’s us. After the guest concert, we had more rehearsal. Our conductor, Kenneth Fulton, was from LSU. He was pretty cool and didn’t give us another rehearsal after dinner. So we went to eat dinner somewhere and had to go to the DJ dance. The DJ dance was one of the bad parts of the trip. I saw Red3 like once then I never saw her again. The crew decided just to chill outside near the elevators and chill. We had our disposable cameras so we did some damage to those. I flashed my eye with one. IT WAS SO COOL/WEIRD/IDIOTIC! I couldn’t see straight until like 15 minutes. There was a red color difference in my eye. At first my eye was really warm then I yelled out. IT was cool. It was finally 10 so we ran up and went to our rooms. We watched cartoons and jumped on the beds. I called Kara again to talk. Then I went to shower and then sleep.
Friday 02/13/04- We woke up and Matt was there sitting down, waiting for us to wake up, it was pretty scary to see Matt. We all decided to wake up and see what breakfast was serving. After that we practiced some more. Then we got split up to girl guy seating arrangements. I sat next to really nice people, I probably moved like 3 times. Then we went to eat lunch. Adam’s parents were in so they decided to treat us to some pizza. They found a little shop outside. And our deal is that we can’t go blocks away from the convention center, but we did anyways. The pizza was pretty long, but worth it. We ran back thinking we were late, but we were on time. Then we sang some more. After singing some more, Nick Page came to sing for us. It was really neat what he did. We learned a cool song, http://www.best-lyrics-4u.net/Sing_Our_Own_Song_Lyrics.html. He taught us different parts, such as a base, drum, solo, sax, and guitar part. We all sang the song with our desired parts and it was so cool. Adam and I couldn’t get it out of our heads. After Nick Page sang with us, we went to dinner. And this was the climax of all conflicts. Red3 was sitting at the table diagonal to us. Again, she is all that and a bag of chips. I miss her so much. Anyways, Ryan, Abe, Jill, and Ryan got into a conflict and it was really stressful so Ryan left the table and Adam and I left to find him. We went to the mall to get a keychain and went back to the hotel room and Ryan was there. After all this ish, we went to a Cathedral in Boston to see the War Requiem Concert. It was rather interesting; I kind of slept through it. This guy in front of us was really into it, he was mimicking the conductor’s movements and what not. He looked at us really strange. After a grueling 90 minutes of the War Requiem, we went home in our cold bus’s. Then I took a shower, packed, and slept for tomorrow’s show.
IM TIRED OF TYPING, SO TOMORROW, I WILL DO SATURDAY AND COMING IN SUNDAY! HOPE YOU ENJOY. |
