There is no try. And if there is, it's called a fail.

This is tanking. Whether you be a newly crowned Protection Warrior or Paladin, or perhaps a Feral Druid or a Shaman, you will know that to do this, you have to be able to take a hit. And another. And another. You group depends on you for keeping the aggro off them, or else one of the obnoxious members of the group will yell "WIPE" into the mic as you all fall onto the ground, utterly spent, your blood soaking into the hard earth.

Am I here to impart some mystical wisdom about this subject? Perhaps I came from Blizzard's Development Team, or perhaps I have been tanking instances for the last 48 hours straight. No. I am simply another player in this gigantic world, someone who likes to get in the middle of the action, to be that heavily geared tank, in the most literal sense of the term, walking into battle under mountains of plate armor, the arrows bouncing harmlessly off the thick metal.

How do you tank, you ask? Or is your question more about which gear to yearn for? Which enchants to get? Well, I will try to answer some of your questions...in the next little while.

Till next time,
