So sorry, but I am now keeping God at #1, not just in words but in action tooo. I pray and read my bible a WHOLE lot more than I am online. And that it how it is going to be for me. I am keeping myspace because I think it is such an important way to keep in touch with all you wonderful people in my life.

So lately...

I did not go back to Southwestern this fall because God made it clear that I was to stay here. At least for now. And we'll see about later. It was hard at first. First, it was a hunch. Second it was pretty clear, but I was very much praying about it. Third, it was perfectly clear but my heart was still there in that I was sad and wanted to be there. And in this I felt faithless and was mustering up all my trust in God. Fourth, and coming immediately after the third, God totally outdid himself encouraging me that I had been obedient and that I was where I was supposed to be, here at home. Praise the Lord!!! Fifth, 3 days after the 3rd and 4th, on the Wednesday that school started for y'all, God brought a special thing into my life that has already been so instrumental in my spiritual growth and my walk with God, for it has literally exploded. I am praying in pretty much continually in the Spirit and God has been revealing stuff to me, just dropping it right and left. (To just mention one result) I have always wanted this and never had it before. Get ready. God's doing something! Something's about to break! Praise the Lord!!

Much love, and God's richest blessings to all of you.

Wednesday, July 12, 2006

Wow!! I have some exciting news!! Most everyone knows I quit Garden Ridge. Well, I spent all day Monday online apllying for jobs and positions and stuff. I just got a call from KiddieCorp. They are a compnay who goes to all the major events, conventions, and trade shows, and provides child care for them. The orientation is Wed night for an hour. It is the last step in the hiring process. They didn't even interview me. She said she checked all my references. Oh, and there were 3 interview questions on the application. But, still, wow. So then I'll work thurs 9-6, fri 2-8, and sat 9-6 at the Woodlands Waterway Marriot. It's so exciting!!!!!!! Well, I'm excited! Anyway, just wanted to share the good news real quick. Much love to all!!

Sunday, June 25, 2006

Yeah, so there's so much to say about camp...

...that I'll probably be writing about it forever. If I decide I have the energy to even try. Well, it was amazing. I believe this was my 12th year to go. My 4th yearas a counselor, and in a row. I went to kids camp at 10, 11, and 12. Then I went to youth camp at 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17. I went to Warriors Camp (month-long) at 18. I wasn't allowed to go to camp as a counselor at 19, although I was heartbroken. But I have been as a counselor at 20, 21, 22, and now 23. Actually, that's 13 years. Cool. I'm pretty sure that if I could do this, like as a job, I would do it. I just love being a spiritual mentor to girls. And of course I love the camp atmosphere for myself anyway, because I love being showered with the outporing of the Spirit and surrounded by the Lord's growing. I bought the camp video, which is supercool. But I can't find the 300+ pictures they said were on it, so can anyone help me out?

More to come. Gotta get ready for church tonight!! yay!!

Monday, June 05, 2006

From Saturday...

Well, first of all, my mom and grandma signed on our new house today. It is a Chesmar home, and it is in Aunt Cathy's subdivsion, and literally a stone's throw from Jason and Monica's new house. I am pretty disappointed that I wasn't there to pick out all the colors and insert my two cents on the upgrades, but I was working. So it's offical now. We are moving. And although it will take about 4 months for them to build it, it is very exciting. Crazy, even. Unfortunately, I will have to go back to school before we move, but ... it is finally happening. YAY!! So that's new.

In other news, the job is going very good. Except where my feet are concerned. They hurt so bad until I am ready to cry, every night, they just kill me. But I am liking floral. I love it when people are there. I absolutely love helping people. Even if they need help outside my dept. I love showing them, even taking them right to what they are looking for. And rearranging flowers is okay. It is difficult, on the other hand, to try to keep the trees off the floor, and it does literally seem like a jungel back there sometimes. Oh, well, if you have never been to the Garden Ridge on 242, the floral dept goes from one side of the store, almost to the other, in the very back. And it also includes baskets, which get completely crazy, bridal, and ribbon. I'm telling you, you could make a fake astroworld, and not make a dent in the stock of this floral dept. They have more flowers and greenery, and sticks, and wreaths, and trees and floor plants, than you could even think of. I'm sure my feet hurt because I am constantly walking from one side of the store to the other, from the back to the front. It's insane. But I am getting the hang of it, and I love helping people.

And, on the font page of Robin's World, MY BROTHER IS GETTING MARRIED!! In like less than 3 weeks. I have only met Ashley once, but she seems really sweet and Phillip loves her. I am kinda bummed that they can't have a real wedding now, but they are planning to do something special on their first or second anniversary. Whether that be a ceremony, or a reception, it will be nice. And I can't wait for them to move back to Texas, so Ashley can be my real sister and we can love her into our family.

Well, that's the most recent. I have a pic of my store and some other that I will post when it is not 2am, in the dark, and secretly being typed so I don't get in trouble for not being in bed. Blessings to all!! GOD IS GOOD!!!

Sunday, May 28, 2006

I had so much fun babysitting last night. Thsi morning, Larissa woke up in such a good mood. She was cooing in her crib, and I kinda just ignored her. I would sit up and smile at her, then lay back down, and repeat, until finally I could entertain the thought of getting up. She was so cute, dancing and laughing in her crib. After I changed her really wet diaper, put her in this really cute pink ruffly dress, and fed her, I was trying to get her to walk. So, she already will stand up by herself, and clap. Usually, she gets so excited, she makes herself fall. So I was standing her up and telling her to come to me, but she would take a step, and her toes would curl under her foot and she would bite the dust. I would laugh and say, "crash and burn!" Oh, it was so cute. She's ten moths old, and she's almost ready to walk. She's so precious.

So, when I was on my way home, Jessy called and said she was free to hang out with me. So I went to her house, and waited while she got ready. Well, when she first saw that I was there, she smiled the biggest smile and it just made my day. After we left her house, we stopped by Taco Cabana and had lunch, then came to my house and I got ready. But not before I played for her some songs that I had written. It took me a long time to get ready, but she didn't mind, because she was able to be online. We went to Deerbrook Mall, and she found a supercute dress, and some cute earrings, which she's wearing tomorrow morning. We were really affected by the cookie stand, so we decided to get cheap ones at McDonald's. On the way out, we saw Jesse Sanchez. We went to Walmart in Humble, got some yummy cookies, bought some trinkets, and made one last stop at Family Christian stores before we came back to my house and we watched High School Musical, which I got at Walmart. I love that movie. It's the singing. Then I took her home. I always have so much fun with Jessy. We say some stupid things and don't always make sense, and we laugh at each other and ourselves. Being with Jessy makes me feel cool, special, and loved. I am so thankful for her.

Well, I'm sleepy, so I'm gonna hit the hay. Blessings!!

In an ambulance. We were going to look at a model of a house, when she pulled into Aunt Cathy's driveway, got out of the car, looking like she as crying, and told me to call 911. So, i did, and first 2 cop SUV's came, then a fire truck, and they gave her oxygen as we waited for the ambulance. Finally the ambulance came, and they took her to St. Luke's in the Woodlands. Aunt Cathy took Mammaw and went up to the hospital, and I came to babysit Larissa, my baby cousin. Aunt Cathy called at 8, and said that they would do a cat scan at 9:30, and that after that she would probably be sent home. She said they thought it was diverticulitis, and if so, as an infection, they would give her antibiotics, to make it go away. I talked to Mom at 11:30, and her and Mammaw were almost home. Mom said they didn't find anything on the cat scan, but they thought it was diverticulosis, which is not an infection, and pretty much can't be cured. They gave her vicadin, and other meds. But when I asked her if they told her what she could eat, she said no. So, the pain is gone, but she is still sore. She doesn't have to go back to work unitl Tuesday, and she's off school on Monday for the holiday. I sure hope this will go away. I hate seeing her in pain and stuff. She's already gone through so much and she is doing so much to make her life better. Please say a prayer for her. I love her.

Thursday, May 25, 2006

Yay!!!! I finally got the pictures out of my mom's digital camera. I am in the middle of seperating them into folders and uploading some to start with. Finally! *scoff*

Today was such a wonderful day! I applied online yesterday at Garden ridge, and they called me about noon and asked me to come in for an interview at 3. i got the job. I'll be working the sales floor in floral. It's so exiting! And they are even giving me Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights off. So I THANK YOU for the prayers. After I left there, I went to my mom's bank and told her the good news. I dropped my pics off at the 2920 Walmart, then went to sonic for lunch. Then I went to my Aunt Cathy's, where I visited with Lauren, and about 6, took Katy with me to go to church. First, I picked up my pics, dropped some mail off at the Louetta Walmart post office. We got to church about 10 till 7, but Katy still got to sing. Right before I went up to youth, I discovered that I got something on my khaki pants, and I almost went home to change. I mean, I was almost gone, but then I looked and you couldn't see anything, so I went ahead and stayed. Boy, am I glad!! Service was so awesome. No, it was ridiculously incredible. I haven't been in a service like that in a really long time. Our first worship song was Our God is an awesome God, and then we sang Shout Unto God. Well, let me just say that the Holy Spirit lit a fire underneath me. His glory began to fill me and I could not be responsible for my action...reaction. When you feel Him like that, there is just no holding it in. And I loved every single second of it. Wow. Then during our alter service, I prayed for the girls in front of me. Then we prayed for camp coming up, then for the guys, then for the girls, then for the youth group. I was praying so loud and forceful and with such passion, that I thought I made myself lose my voice. Afterwards, we had a youth leaders' meeting, which was special. Before leaving, I got some hugs from some special people, and I got a hug during the service from someone who has never ever approached me or talked to me before and it was so sweet. Then, Katy, Jessy, and I went to McDoanld's and got a bite to eat, and went to Katy's house and watced "Hitch" in Lauren's room. It's a long story, but let's just say that the english subtitles were done by the chinese and they are so stinkin' hilarious!

Of course, just as I was leaving to take Jessy home, my mom called to ask Aunt Cathy to take her to the ER. But we think it's not serious, so it really was a great day.

I LOVE THE LORD!!!

Brief sequel

I cannot believe it. I just lost a whole blog. It was good and funny, and I was talking about how singing my songs to the Lord improved my mood, and how I was thankful for that.

I baysat yesterday, we went to Bryan today, and I have had this neverending headache, so that will be it.
