Wow, it's been 4 months since I've posted anything!  Dang, that's a long time with a lot of stuff going on since my last post.  First of all, the most exciting news...John and I got married on June 2, 2006!  It was the most memorable day of my life up to this point.  It was truely an amazingly beautiful day, I couldn't have asked for anything different.  Now it's time to start paying those wedding debts! ha!

So, John still doesn't have a job up here yet. He's applied and in the testing process of so many fireman and policeman positions it's not even funny.  Everyone just takes FOREVER to have a position open and decide yes or no.  So, therefore, we still only get to see each other on the weekends.  Hey, it's all we've ever known, so it's not a huge change.  But it would be nice to spend more time together.  It'll happen, we're trying to be patient.

I have a wedding picture posted in the "photos" part of my xanga, so check it out and tell me what you think.

Work's still as busy as ever and crazy me is actually applying for a part-time evening or weekend job.  What am I thinking!  I know, but I just can't stand not having "cushion/emergency" money on hand.  It'll only be until John gets a full time job up here and we have more money coming in.  Plus, it'll help pay off some wedding debt a little quicker hopefully. I promised myself that if I did get a second part-time job, that I wouldn't spend that money on silly unneccesary things.  We'll see, but I've been pretty strong-willed about things lately.

Lost about 10 pounds for the wedding and felt great!  No one else really noticed, but I sure did.  I had to have my wedding dress and my after-party dress both taken up...of course they had to be taken up in areas that I didn't want to lose the weight in!  Go figure.  But then I went off my diet that night and ate well during our 2 week honeymoon and have about every since.  I'm trying to get back into that mindset that I was in before the wedding and be very discipline about what I eat and exercise like life depends on it.  I'll get back there eventually, it's just a little harder with no set goal or deadline in mind.

Well, that's about it.  Just wanted everyone to know I haven't fallen off the face of the earth.  I'll try and update a little better now that things are a little more settled.  I have a myspace account too, come check me out there.  I don't post there though, but lots of pictures!

John's second session was today at the fire department.  Polygraph today.  He said it wasn't bad...this is his second polygraph though.  He's hoping he makes it to the next session.  There's 120 guys right now, and they plan on only taking 25 to the academy.  I hope he makes it.  It's his dream job.  I'm sure he'll do well.

He came on down and took me to lunch and got to meet some of the friends I work with.  They of course loved him.  He's very charming to girls upon first impressions.  And they loved his accent!

It's way too pretty outside today to be sitting indoors doing WORK! What are the bosses thinking! lol!

Today's John's interview in front of the whole Board in Lexington.  It's at 11am...say a little prayer for him.  He's a little nervous.  He had to go to the emergency room last night.  Cut his finger really bad at work yesterday evening.  Had to end of having 5 stitches.  That's gonna look pretty at today's interview.  Nice suit and tie and a large bandged thumb!  Ice breaker I suppose...cause you know everyone will ask what happened.

I wish June 2nd would hurry up and get here!  Actually, I still have some things to take care of before then, but I'm just so anxious for John and I to finally be husband and wife and he live in the same town as me!  haha!  All we've ever known is a long distance relationship and seeing each other every other weekend, but I want him here everyday.  When I come home, even if he's not there and working, I just want to be able to come in the house and see his things there.

He still hasn't heard from either of the jobs yet.  He should be hearing from the police department some time soon though, because he went through his third and final testing/interviewing last week.  The fire department won't actually narrow people down until probably April.

It snowed about 3 inches here last night.  It was quite a surprise to wake up to this morning.  People that haven't grown up in the country on snowy roads every winter shouldn't be out on the roads between 6-9am when those that can drive in snow are heading to work.

Been awhile since I've written, but it's seems like an eternity has pasted and so much has happened during that time.  All is well I suppose...or should I say, how it's supposed to work out in some eyes.

Anyway, besides what I don't want to talk about, nothing else has been going on.  Gearing down to get the wedding details in order.  Only things I'm a little worried about and would like to get under wraps are the flower details and the cake details.  Everything else, I'm okay with...I know what's going on, it's just at the point of waiting until pretty close to the event time.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and Happy New Years!
