| I was reading the above book by Bruce A. Ware today. It was one that Daddy recommended earnestly and one that I am enjoying immensely. In the first chapter, Mr. Ware made the interesting point that God is company for Himself. After all, there are three Persons in the Trinity. It stands to reason that they would enjoy each other's company. I realized again how incredible it is that God, having no need of us and knowing full well how we would turn out, still chose to create us. My mother commented that the social aspect of the Trinity is reflected in humanity's social instincts. "As iron sharpens iron..." It's an excellent book. There isn't much else going on. Star Trek remains the latest fad, though we've watched all of the episodes that we could find. Christie is reading my Asimov mysteries and enjoying them. The kid has good taste. And I? Loafing through life and enjoying myself marvelously.
I realized something today. Among my library books were two Asimov omnibuses. One was two novels in one volume, titled "The Caves of Steel" and "The Naked Sun", respectively. The other was titled "The Rest of the Robots". I read the former first. When I read the latter today, I discovered that it had those two novels, as well as a few short stories. It's the second time I've checked out two books by the same author, only to find that I could have gotten one. Oh well.

| A clear blue sky...and out of the blue drops a series of posts! As Tim said, "Who am I to buck the trend?" So...let's condense several weeks into two or three neat paragraphs. If I can. We discovered the original Star Trek on YouTube. Mr. Spock, predictably, is a favorite, as is Mr. Chekov. Molly was surprisingly enthusiastic about it. It might help that we started by finding one of the best and cutest episodes, the one with the little fuzz-balls that purr. We also discovered that Leonard Nimoy, in addition to being Spock, was also a singer. Here's a good video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFmhWlsMjjY I've finished a story and, being me, have promptly sailed into another one. I've also been reading Isaac Asimov's mystery stories. Good stuff. Not much else has been going on, beyond math and housekeeping. I've got a babysitting job this Saturday. The kids I'm babysitting like paper plane wars. Well, gtg! TTFN!
Since nobody else has posted it yet, this video was too good to be missed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkYZ6rbPU2M

| We went to Dr. Guevara's today, and I was told that I'll probably have my braces off by June. Very very happy right now. Speaking of braces, I finally learned the difference between braces and grills. Grills seem to be little jewel studs put in your teeth. Braces don't need describing. (Courtesy of Dan.) Nothing going on here but life. It's a nice life.

| On days like this one, I feel as if I should have wings. I feel as if I should be floating several inches above the ground, rather than mundanely and sedately walking upon it. On days like this, I feel like singing myself hoarse, turning cartwheels, and climbing into the top of a tall tree, just for kicks. For on this particular and lovely day, Timothy and Joe are home at the same time, my story glides with enchanting smoothness, my ears are charmed by Beach Boys music, and my mind is absorbed with Isaac Asimov's clever and masterful writing. Also, I have just finished a Timothean special mocha: a mocha with a scoop of ice cream under the whipped cream and drizzled chocolate syrup. You know, I think I will go climb that tall tree, with a book and a pear for company...just for kicks. Happiness, my friends, consists of my life.

| A wandering and peculiar post.Last week, we went to P'cola for the weekend. Mama's sister was flying in from CA, so the Ward crew got together in P'cola. Since my cousin was coming if we came, Christie and I went down too. So we hung out all Saturday and Sunday (and my aunts treated us to a manicure!! ). And then my mother asked if I wanted to stay with Diane for the rest of the week. Boy, the last time I saw Diane was....*starts counting on fingers....stops. Stares into space* A long time ago. Before the hurricane, in fact. So I said yes. I ended up spending five days with the cousins (the rest of the Wards came down on Monday), which was a lot of fun before the gang drove back to P'cola to boat and retrieve me. A few highlights of P'cola: boating on Uncle Tim's boat. He went out to the Gulf and we hit some really big waves, which was cool, fun, and slightly wettish. Going to see "Enchanted" with the cousins. That's a funny movie. Wandering the mall with the cousins. Brainstorming ideas for a story with the cousins. Oh yeah. Making a five-minute movie with the cousins. Diane got to be the grandly melodramatic heroine of the story, Christine got to be the person who dies at the start of the movie (to revive later), and I got to be...the Mad Hermit of the Desert. Rachel 2's favorite lines of the mad hermit were "She looks dead" (my intelligent observation upon seeing Diane wailing over Christine's body). I also immortalized myself in Ward history by making a very bad joke while telling a story. It caught on, oddly enough. The king was informing the hero that, unless the hero secured a magic bell from the wicked giant, the king would cut off the hero's ears. "Naturally, the hero objected," says I. "He was very attached to his ears." Bad puns are genetic in my family. I'll post about Easter tomorrow...or sometime in the near future.
