Anyone There???

Since I've only gotten three responses on my last post, I'm pretty sure no one is reading this anymore, or doesn't care enough to respond.  *Sniff* I see how it is...

Anyway, if you do care and haven't talked to me in awhile, it's cause I've been really busy.   I'm about halfway through my last quarter and graduating June 10, WOOT!!  I have also turned in my 2 weeks notice at The Fabric Patch, so I only have one more week left.  I am happy to be leaving and starting a new job.  I was really bored and had outgrown my job so some change will be nice.  I have almost completed training at Intercare Therapy, which is a company that does behavioral and play-based therapy with children with special needs, specifically autism.  If anyone knows anything about behavioral therapy, imagine the complete opposite and that's what I'll be doing.    Basically I will be getting paid to play with kids, so I'm psyched about that.

Much Needed Update

Hi everyone, just wanted to write a quick note so you know I'm still alive.

Christmas was nice, I got a flat screen LCD tv that doubles as a computer monitor so now I have a DVD player in my room through my computer, a Coach purse, portable speakers for my iPod, ski goggles, some new clothes, SCUBA diving lessons from Kevin and Taber so now I can join the diving obsession .  Plus lots of gift cards and my sister got a new digital camera so I get her old one!  School starts next week so now I am just winding now and getting ready for that.  I am also busy cleaning my room to make room for all my new toys.  Well gotta get back to cleaning!

Dancing...drinking...

As many of you know, Kevin, Erin, Trevor, Fuzzy and I went to the Marine Corps ball this last weekend.  It was great.  Kevin and I went out on Friday afternoon after much crazy running around (and booze buying).  On Saturday, we had the crappy buffet and then he went to formation while I walked around the mall with some of the other girls.  Then the rest of the gang came out and we went to dinner and danced and stuff...lots of fun.  After the dance we had the afterparty in our room where much alcohol was consumed, thanks to some people who won't be mentioned *COUGH* Kevin *COUGH*.  Then thanks to the alcohol some very funny videos were made (that can't be shown on the internet)  .  Then on Sunday we went over and had the good brunch and came home.  That's pretty much the most exciting thing that has happened to me in awhile besides getting a cold ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!  Now I'm sitting here not doing my homework   Tomorrow I have a presentation to do about drug addiction.  RAWR!!!

School...work...school some more...you know how it is

So school and work are really busy, although I had a pretty relaxing week so far. We will be officially starting experiments next week, and I had the day off on Thursday because the termite guys were there. I had to work today out on the floor, so I was on my feet for most of the day...ick!

I had to read The Jungle for my social policies class and then write a character analysis. In case you haven't heard about it, The Jungle is about the meatpacking industry in Chicago in the early 1900s (pre New Deal). This means that there was no workers comp, child labor laws that weren't strictly enforced and no minimum wage. I suggest this book to everyone because it really makes you appreciate life as it is now and to understand how far we have come in this country.

Anyway, the battery is running low on my laptop so I gotta go. Catch ya later!
