| Today I started my first day of training at my new part time job. For all of those who know me well, you're probably well aware of the fact that I'm not the biggest fan of coporate america, especially if it's trendy.
Yes friends, it can't get more coporate or trendy than that.
Oh well. Fortunatly, it happens to be a great place to work and it (helps) pay the bills. |

| I love being in a line of work that can take you pretty much anywhere, doing anything.
Last week I'm minding my own business when I get a random call for a job. The Spanish lady on the other end asks me if I would like to run cameras for a conference Friday and Saturday for $12 an hour. Heck yes! She said that she'd email me the particulars the next day. I get the email two days later, the night before the job. The title of said email simply says "Face and Body Art"

This could be an interesting weekend, I say to myself. The next day I show up, not exactly shure of what to expect but I'm not ruling out anything between girls gone wild to hippies painting on each other. Well, as it turns out, it's an international conference for face and body art. Some of the best body artists in the country come here every year to learn about their amazing craft. People were putting some of the most creative art you're ever seen on people's bodies. Because you are probably wondering YES THERE WERE NAKED GIRLS being painted, but trust me, it's probably not what you are thinking. It was a fascinating weekend, but not without it's stories. There was one humorus occasion when I'm sitting by myself at my camera station minding my own business, when all of the sudden these two fairly attractive girls standing next to me just start taking off their clothes! This is not the usual "the model was wearing a robe and slips out of it" but the full on shirt and bra off strip down. Don't get me wrong I am a taken man - but that can be distracting when you are trying to work, especially when you're not expecting it.
After it was all over my friend Matt put things into an interesting perspective: "Do you know that this weekend you've had every man's dream job? You got paid good money to sit in a chair, hardly do any work, and be surrounded with naked girls all weekend" |

| My brother Sam is such a stud: To one and all (even though I know thats not too many people) Im leaving for Iraq this weekend and will be back sometime in the fall. Please feel free to enjoy your freedom, and everything you never worked for to earn, and to give your simple minded opions about life, politics, and war......but....DONT FORGET THOSE WHO SACRIFICE THEIR LIVES TO GIVE YOU THAT RIGHT Go kick some major Iraki-terrorist ass man!
