A lot of things going on during the next few weeks

This semester will be a busy one.  I got a placement test for E190 to take, couple of midterms coming up soon (this Thursday at the soonest), gotta start looking for internships/jobs (failure because companies look for programmers/software designers rather than hardware/circuit designers, and my GPA isn't that high), 3-4 problem sets every week, and what not.  E190 is this technical communications course designed for engineers who supposedly lack in communication skills (orly now).  Although the people who have taken this course in the past tell me not to worry about a thing for the placement test, I'm still slightly uneasy about the fact that my last "decent" essay/paper happened 3.5 years back in junior year in high school (senior year doesn't count since I bullshitted ALL of Lucas' assignments).  I've always had trouble with writing, but as long as I'm able to write coherent English sentences, I guess I'm fine.  But anyway, it seems like I've been doing far better academically than I have been doing for the past few semesters.  Ever since I've parted my ways with online gaming forever, it seems like all the missing puzzle pieces to my college life just started coming back together.  WoW was fun while it lasted, but it did make a huge dent in my college academic performance, so it's time that I start working hard as I once had in the past in order to make up for such poor performance.  I still do play some Warcraft 3 with Ronald (lol), but that doesn't count because of my need to pwn n00bs.  Besides, we're so good at it.

I have to start doing things right.

Robot Chicken is an awesome show.

Most of us have probably all seen hilarious shows such as Family Guy and Simpsons, but I bet only a few of us are familiar with a show called Robot Chicken.  A first impression you get from the name of the show probably isn't a hopeful one, but after watching the show a couple times, it's certain to be one of the most brilliantly made and innovative parody shows that you've ever watched.  Here are some funny previews:

This is one is one of my all-time favorites.

This one is great as well.

The only downside is that Robot Chicken airs very late at night on Cartoon Network: Adult Swim.

New franchise?

My earlier post about the 1996 Seattle Supersonics roster reminded me of something; there will no longer be a Seattle Supersonics in the NBA starting next year.  Instead, we get a team in the middle of nowhere with a marvelous franchise name of Thunder.  How lovely indeed.  Welcome to NBA Oklahoma City Thunder.

Increase in time, increase in productivity.

Wow, ever since I quit WoW, it feels as if the length of a day just increased by 50%.  So much time left = no more ditching class because I spent all night playing WoW.  So much time left = more time to work on my 4 problem sets due every week.  So much time left = more time to do other things.

As a side note, some dumbass in the football world is trying to change his last name to Ocho Cinco.  WTF?

Oh, and I totally forgot that it's already been 7 years since the 9/11 tragedy.  Time flies by hella fast.
