  • Por fin, ¿no?  I go home tomorrow! (it's technically today, but in 14 or so hours).  I am excited about going home, even though it will only be for about five days, because I have to be back at school on May 11th for orchestra practice for graduation, which is the 14th.  I will be bored then, probably, because my computer will be at home, as well as much more of my stuff.  I had my trumpet jury today, and I am happy with how it went.  I feel that I have improved since last semester, but not necessarily since last year, which is wierd, but hopefully I have.  I am looking forward to just hanging out with my high school friends this summer.  I will be working at Alley Oop's with Carlos, Josh, Alysa, and hopefully Marc - all current/former trumpet line members from GHS.  It should be great.  The orchestra here played my piece "Crux" on Monday, and made a recording, which was nice of them to do, since I'm not actually a composition major.  I wrote "Crux" last spring, and revised it this spring.  It is a 5-6 minute long piece, about Jesus.  It has four different but somewhat continuous sections: "God's Glory/Creation," "Christ's Passion/Crucifixion/Death," "Mourning Christ's Death/The Reserrection," and "Dark Days on Earth/Christ's Victory over Evil/God's Glory on Earth."  I probably won't be online much this summer, because my internet at home will not even come close to comparing to the school's, and I'll probably switch to "T.V. mode" at night instead of "computer mode," but then again, I never talked much online at school, either!  I hope everyone has a great summer.  Be safe and stay out of trouble.  Make memories, but hopefully not mistakes!  ...."Peace out!"

  • Hey ya'll.  I hope things are going for everyone.  I had a great weekend.  Friday night I went ice skating at the Pepsi Colosseum, located at the Indiana State Fair Grounds (which unlike Elkhart County Fair Grounds, friends from Goshen, it is in the middle of Indianaplis, right off of 38th street, not out in the country).  After that I went to McDonalds, and after that my friend Brian and I watched "The Passion of the Christ".  On Saturday, I practiced for an hour, which I felt good about, yet I know that an hour is only half the amount of time I should practice everyday.  In the afternoon, I went to see "Phantom of the Opera" the movie, with some friends from school.  After the movie, I went to my friend Michael's appartment where he, his girlfriend Kassie, and another guy named Josh, and I watched "Patch Adams".  We also ordered pizza and Chinese food.  I had Papa John's barbecue chicken wings.  Then Sunday I went to church for the first time in a while, with my roommate and his parents, her were down visiting for the weekend.  After church, they took he and I out to lunch.  The afternoon was spent doing homework, and the night was spent on a very little bit of practice, reading for fun, going to Meijer's, watching T.V., and hanging out in the big room with the guys across the hall and my roommate.

-And it shall come to pass that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.-   Acts 2:21.

  • It is time to write again.  School starts again tomorrow, after a one month Christmas Vacation.  It was fun.  The first two weeks I spent with my friends that are still in high school.  We didn't do a whole lot - mostly played video games and watched movies.  They spent the night a lot.  One of my favorite things that we did was "night rider" which is a car trick on ice, where you go in reverse really fast and turn the wheel all the way around.  We did that in the Meijer's parking lot.  I'm still not quite sure if doing stuff like that on ice in public parking lots is illegal or not.  (By the way, I do not condone reckless and dangerous driving styles) - my lawyers made me put that in... well, if I had lawyers they would have.  I have been practicing a lot (but still not enough) lately for my orchestra audition that I have tomorrow night at 9:32.  Last semester I practiced a lot before the audition, but afterwards I slacked off with my practicing.  Hopefully I will keep up with practicing this semester.  We had a meeting tonight for our band's trip to Russia which is scheduled for Spring Break.  I am starting to look forward to it.  It is time to go.  I want to watch some T.V. (Jay Leno - Monday night = "Headlines") Yeyeah!!!

Hey y'all.  I'm kind of bored right now, just sitting in my room, not doing much.  I think I'm going to call my cousin who lives in Avon and see if he wants to do anything tonight.  I'm really looking forward to Thanksgiving Break, which will be a long one.  I intend to just go home and hang out - visit my family, play with my dog, and maybe even go to Chicago - but we'll see about that last one.  If I would go, it would be to get a 1-day-processesed passport, which I need to have before Christmas Break for the trip to Russia which I will be taking with the music department here over Spring Break, and for my trip to Mexico this summer (¡Que todo vaya bien con ésto!).  I have a lot of Pschology reading to do before the test this Thursday.  I can't wait for that class to be over.  I like the teacher and everything, it's just a lot of reading about something that doesn't even interest me that much.  I'm very thankfull that I was able to be in every class, at every time, that I want to be in next semester.  I will enjoy another semester of my earliest class being at 9:35 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 10:00 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.  However, I don't end until 7:00 P.M. on Mondays, so it's not all great, but my last class is band, so it's not all that bad, either.

About Me

  • Hello everybody!! I love speaking Spanish, and I play the trumpet. And this is one of the best things to know: "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16).
