| doo doo dooFor those of you sadly out of the loop (or those I have neglected to tell -- "Oh, my mom has cancer" just doesn't come up in conversations that often so quit being offended, losers (and if I haven't been in contact with you at all lately it's because every week has been like Chaucer Week for Perrett and I'm still failing half my classes)), my mother has recently been diagnosed with cancer. And no, it's not contagious. She has seven tumors in her brain, one in one of her lungs, and in her breast, and had one removed from the skin on her back. Yes, she's fine (relatively speaking, as is everyone else) and no, she's not in any immediate danger. And her hair has almost completely come out. She hasn't started chemotherapy yet and won't until sometime in March -- radiation to the brain is what made her hair fall out. So it'll be a while until she has hair again. If you want to send her a hat from your school's bookstore feel free to do so. But please don't send any more food.
And my grandmother died last week, funeral was Wednesday. But it's better that she's gone. She wanted it that way. The complications (several mild strokes, memory loss (forgetting our branch of the family is her least favorite -- so it goes with the middle child)) from her Alzheimer's really deteriorated her life. I'm glad because she's better now.
I'm going to LA for spring break (March 4-11) so no, I will not be home.
Oh. Send me mail. Box H 327, 39 University Drive, Bethlehem PA 18015.
