America is stupid.

Ok, my sister wasn't happy last week when I didn't come through on my promise to do my American Idol rankings on here so I made sure to get it done this week.  The past two weeks we had some pretty bad genres of music the singers had to sing.  This week they were singing songs from the 21st century.  This should be great.  Not only can they choose the genre that fits them but they can show the fans what kind of CD they would release if they won.  So really everybody should be on their game this week.  WRONG!  Last night was absolutely GHASTLY (as Simon would say) and might have been worse than the last two weeks.

Here are my rankings for last night.
10.  Paris - I thought Simon was absolutely right, to me this performance was just some little kid trying to be Beyonce.  Paula gave one of her all to regular dumb comments "you'll be getting an offer from the pussycat dolls!"  What?  This is a good thing for a SIXTEEN YEAR OLD to be performing like the pussycat dolls?  Please.  Grow up and come back in five years Paris.
9.  Ace - Ace, Ace, Ace, what's up man?  My sister sent me a list of suggestions and the suggestion for you to do Backstreet Boys is absolutely your best oppurtunity to jump in the standings.  Not only would you be good at it but all the teeny boppers would love you even more.  I dont know, maybe he didn't want to be labeled as a boy band guy, but I got news for you Ace.  If you look like a boy band singer and sound like a boy band singer, they are going to compare you to a boy band singer.
8.  Chris - After I heard they were singing 21st century songs this week I was listening to my iPod and thought this song would be PERFECT for Chris.  That song was "What If" by Creed and amazingly that's the song he chose.  So why did it stink so bad?  Probably because he didn't sing it, he yelled it.  What are you yelling for Chris??  It's especially bad since, even though this is a rock song, the original singer, Scott Sapp actually CAN sing, better than Chris.  So Chris just yelling out the words made his version about 1/100th of the original version.
7.  Lisa - Honestly, I don't even remember the performance
6.  Kellie - BORING
5.  Mandisa - I really like the song Mandisa sang and thought it would be a great choice for her, she brought the energy like usual, but the vocals just weren't there this week.
4.  Elliot - Honestly, I wanted to put Elliot lower, but everyone was so bad I just couldn't because even though Elliot butchered one of my favorite songs "I Don't Wanna Be" by Gavin Degraw, he DID sing pretty well, he just totally changed the song, and not in a good way.  If he would've chosen another Gavin Degraw song that is supposed to be sung that way, like "We Belong Together" or "More Than Anyone" or even "Belief" then he might've finished first this week.  Again, Simon is right though, don't dance next time, please.
3.  Taylor - Taylor again was solid
2.  Bucky - Bucky was the one who capitalized most on being able to sing what genre he wanted.  I agree with the judges that he maybe wasn't completely clear at some points, but he still did a good rendition of Uncle Tim, and my standards for an Uncle Tim song are VERY high.
1.  Katharine - She started off rocky, but pulled it together, but it was another of example of why you should never sing Christina Aguilera, because you can never match her version.  Another week this performance wouldn't have gotten her the top spot, but in this very weak week it was better than the rest.

My overall rankings
10.  Ace - You turned it around last week, but then went back to your awful ways
9.  Paris - Please bounce your way out of here.
8.  Kellie - BORING
7.  Lisa - None of her performances are memorable now that I think about it, but atleast I don't remember any awful performances either..
6.  Elliot - Elliot has a good voice but his performances and song choices have not been very good.
5.  Bucky - Here's hoping they sing country next week so hopefully Bucky can stay aroun dnext week.
4.  Chris - Sorry man, you're quickly slipping you're one dimensional and didn't even do  that dimension well this week.
3.  Mandisa - It's a tough call, Mandisa has been absolutely great a couple of times but she's also been bad in my opinion twice now.
2.  Taylor - Taylor on the other hand I don't think has been as great as Mandisa's great performances but he has never had any bad performances either.
1.  Katharine - She doesn't bring the energy like Chris, Mandisa, or Taylor but she has easily the best voice in my opinion.  Still would like to see her do some more energetic songs or Taylor and Mandisa will probably catch up to her.

So I think bottom 3 SHOULD be Ace, Paris, Kellie with Ace going home but I think it WILL be Lisa, Bucky, and Kellie.  I'll say Lisa goes home but I wouldn't be surprised if Bucky goes home although his performance this week SHOULD've been enough to keep him around this week.

And note to Paula.  You're dumb.  Mandisa is obviously a Christian and sang a Christian song and then went and said there are now 40 million people following a new religion worshipping at the church of Mandisa.  That's not a compliment!  I know you probably thing it's cute because she goes to church so I'll say people worship her, har har.  Mandisa doesn't want people to worship her, she wants people to worship God.  Now get off the meds and stop dreaming about Chris and Ace.

Today's list is my top 10 favorite archers. I don't know why but I always liked archers better than swordsmen. It just seems too easy to run up to someone flailing a large sharp object and slice them with it. Archers are smarter, faster, more calculated and usually not as obnoxious. Anyway, here we go...

10. Chewbacca - Sorry Star Wars fans, he might be number one if this was "best chess player", "best arm ripper offer" or "harriest" but this is based on his archer skills and he just barely makes the list.

9. Gizmo - If it wasn't for Gizmo and his archery skills Billy would've gone bye bye.

8. Rambo - Well it was Rambo who taught Gizmo how do shoot an arrow so naturally he would be ranked higher.

7. Legolas - He'd take Aragorn in a heartbeat.

6. Green Arrow - I never liked Green Arrow at first. He was a DC character, he was old, his look is outdated and his real name is Oliver Queen. But once I finally gave his comic a chance I started to like him.

5. Susan Pevensie - I don't know how the least important character in the book/movie got the coolest weapon but once she did get the bow and arrow she suddenly rocked.

4. Sorsha - It's too bad the best picture I could find of her is Madmardigan about to slit her throat...

3. Hawkeye - Since comic book companies tend to borrow ideas from each other I wouldn't be surprised if Hawkeye was actually a copy of Green Arrow, but I always liked Hawkeye better, he was "cooler" looking and he always butted heads with Captain America, which nobody else has the guts to do.

2. Link - What can I say, he's pretty much the best video game character ever.

1. Robin Hood - Pretty obvious who was going to be number one on this one. You can choose any version of Robin Hood you like, I prefer the Disney version.

No Whammy! STOP!

Ok, so I haven't been updating every day, I probably should not have made that promise.  Anyway, today's list is my favorite game shows of all time.
10.  Double Dare - Physical Challenge!  I remember everybody on that show didn't want to do the physical challenge because it was challenging and physical (hence the name physical challenge).  I'd rather do that than answer some silly questions.  I totally could've climbed up the slide on the obstacle course.
9.  Win Ben Stein's Money - Ben Stein's dry humor and Jimmy Kimmel's.....wet humor?
8.  American Gladiators - Man I so wanted to be on this show.  The joust rocks, and the dodging the sniper Gladiator shooting his tennis balls at you.
7.  Jeopardy - I never do very well at it but I like game shows where you have to actually be smart.
6.  Remote Control - Admit it, you watched the show just to see someone's chair go through the wall when they lose.
5.  Tic Tac Dough - Watch out for that dragon.
4.  Who Wants to be a Millionaire - That is my final answer
3.  Stump the Scwab - I'm all about the sports triva shows
2.  Press Your Luck - The Whammys are the best invetion in game show history.
1.  Celebrity Poker Showdown - I'm not a poker player myself but there is something appealing about celebrities taking money from each other.  (Even if they aren't really playing with their money)  Although it usually depends on what celebrities are on.
