| ComfortableI can't believe it
has been almost three months since I blogged. We spent some time in OK
during February. While there Cheryl showed me the quilt she was working
on for me. After we got back, a package arrived inthe mail with my
quilt. I love it!
We have had some real
snowy cold days and it is perfect for when I want to read. Thank you
Cheryl!! I will treasured it and use it.
Even my husband has gotten into blogging but for a different purpose. His blog is: http://hopetriumphant.blogspot.com

| Father Flatt Does It AgainMy husband, Father
Flatt as our daugther-in-law Cheryl loving calls him, has put together
another scrap Christmas Quilt. This time he did a lap quilt.

Last year's quilt is on our bed for the Christmas season. I have so
many Christmas scraps that he has decided to make a new quilt each year
out my scraps.

| Snowy DaysI loved
Monday! It snowed and snowed! Schools were canceled so
there was no chance of being called in to sub. I was able to
complete all my projects for the Craft Fair and then read a
little. Days like Monday are like a gift. I had so much to
do this week and wondered how I'd get it all done and then the snow
came. The pictures are from our porch. We recieved nine
inches of snow from Sunday night through Tuesday. I will miss the
snow if we ever live in a milder climate. This morning it was 8
degrees when I came down for breakfast. I really love winter!
Next to the grey house across the
street is a yellow building behind the trees. That building was
the school house until 1966. It was nice
having a village school. We moved to Vermont in January of
1966. After school, one day a week, the children came to the
parsonage for a Good News Club. What a joy it was to teach the
children about the Lord. In Sept. they closed the school and it
was sad to see all these kids have to travel down over the mountain to
school. One of the two teachers retired and the other made the
move with the kids. Mrs. Gage was a wonderful teacher. She
made a difference in the kids lives. How thankful I was that my
wiggle little boy had her for a teacher.
When we returned to East
Wallingford Baptist in 2000 it was different. The country store
was closed and there were not as many children in the village.
Most of the dairy farms were gone and the creamery was closing.
But through all the changes East Wallingford Baptist has remained
faithful. It has been an interesting time returning to
Vermont. The parsonage has had some work done in it and we are
thankful for all the peoples hard work. That's all another story
some day. I just meant to share the snow pictures.
Tomorrow is the Craft Fair for the children to do their Christmas shopping. I'll take some pictures and send them out next week. Saturday is a Craft Fair and so it will be a busy weekend.

| T-Shirt QuiltI
decided to put my t-shirt quilt on today. It is snowing and I'm
not going anywhere..except up to my sewing room. I have a few
more pillowcases to finish for the craft fair on Saturday.
This second quilt for Allison is
made from her t-shirts and sweatshirts. It is my first experience
with this type of quilt. I have a feeling it won't be my
last since someone else has already asked if I could make one for
her. I told her we'd talk after the first of the year. I also had
this one machined quilted. The interfacing I used really worked
great and the lady that does the machine quilting was pleased.
I'm off to my sewing room to enjoy
this snowy day. If I get done quick enough I'll have time
to read. Speaking of reading I just finished reading The
Christmas Quilt by Jennifer Chiaverini. I loved the book and will
hate to return it. I wasn't familiar with the author and two of
the ladies that I met with concerning the craft fair said it was a
"must read". After reading it I agree!
Have a great day!
