| As I prepare to take off...So, tomorrow I am flying up to Denver, CO to spend 12 days up there
with Joe and his lovely wonderful friends...aka, his roommate and his
most awesome and wonderful boss and his family who shall be housing me.
Very nice of them I thought. Please be praying for safe travel for all
of us as we are going about our various and sundry travels.
Joe
is driving home from Moscow today and is having a bit of car trouble so
please pray that he makes it...I am sure that he would be very grateful.
I
am feeling a little jittery because earlier this afternoon I had a car
wreck which has left me a little travel shaky. I was happily driving
down Mill St. (a one way here in town) is the left lane when some lady
decided to make a left hand turn from the right lane across in front of
me. No one was hurt and neither car was damaged badly at all. I am very
thankful for that as I had my little sister in the car with me and she
would have been the one who would have been seriously injured as she
was in the passenger seat.
So, tomorrow, please pray for
safety for me as I fly and then for Joe's roommate, Seth, and myself as
we drive from Denver up to Hayden later that evening. My flight leaves
Jackson at 6:50 in the morning...Joe, don't ever doubt that I love you,
so Chris and I are getting up to leave Monroe around 3:45 or 4 tomorrow
morning so pray for safety there as well.
Yes, I will let you
all know how the trip goes and anything interesting that happens. I
have a camera with me so expect pictures...lots of them. Probably a
lot of them will be posted during the trip. I think it is going to be a
very relaxing, wonderful, time. Please be praying for Joe and I as our
relationship continues to grow and progress. We would both be very
thankful for that.
Love you all!!! ~Christine
| One year ago...To the People...(a borrowed phrase)
Something important in the life of Christine happened one year ago today...and the two days following it...
On August 12, 2006 I boarded a plane at the Dallas/Fort Worth airport to fly up to Washington DC to meet someone who had become very important in my life. Yes, my dear friends, it has been one year since the day that I caught a plane to Washington DC and found my way, after six months of talking on the phone, into the arms of The man I am now head over heals in love with. It has been one year since I met Joe in person for the first time...I can't believe it...one year. One year since I landed at the Reagan Nation Airport, walked out of the terminal and saw a young man standing there, holding a single pink rosebud in his hand, and I threw myself into his arms for the first time.
It was a beautiful day...as was the one following it.
On August 13, 2006 while sitting on a low wall at the Navel Academy in Annapolis, this same wonderful young man told me for the first time that he was in love with me...

August 14, 2006...our first date...

It was a blissful time and I wouldn't trade it for anything...and now, three days away from seeing him again, I am once again struck with how blessed I have been to have such a wonderful young man in my life. God's blessings are indeed wonderful!

Joseph...I love you...thank you for everything. ~Christine
| Bordom from class...I know, dreadful of me to be on the computer while in class but as the teacher is only reading to us from the book in a monotone voice I really don't care...The whole class is in a daze of boredom and we are all very ready for this class to be over so that our summer can start...right as everyone else's ends...isn't life peachy!?!?!?!
Aside from the boredom of class, it isn't going to bad. I haven't really liked much of anything that we have studied this quarter but I suppose it is a necessary evil and I have lived through it so far...now just to live through the next five days. We have one more day of class (tomorrow), a day of seminars that we have to present (Thursday), one unit exam left (next Tuesday), two different quizzes (next Wednesday), and then our final (next Thursday)!!! I am thinking that next Thursday will be a beautiful day and I will be very happy when all this is over. However, in between now and then I am going to be rather busy and needing plenty of prayer. Thanks in advance you guys!
After the final I am facing 4 weeks of beautiful, wonderful break! Guess where I am going... Shouldn't be to hard to figure out. On August 15 I am flying out of Jackson, MS up to Denver, CO where Joe's roommate, Seth, will be picking me up and we shall then head four hours north up to Hayden, CO where I shall spend 12 lovely days with the aforementioned individual. I shall spend my days lying around doing nothing while Joe and Seth are at work and recuperating from from four quarters of non-stop school. I'll bring a few interesting books with me and just plain enjoy myself. The boys will be well fed and I think I am going to clean the house from top to bottom. I believe Joe has mentioned hiking, so we shall see how that goes. Sounds like fun. I might possibly get to bring one of Chris' cameras so you may get to see lots of pictures! All in all, it's going to be a very needed break. I am getting a little to burnt out. I can't wait...
Here are a few pictures for you...
Mandi...kissing trees...
Happy Friends...
*mischivous chuckle*

*just smiles*

The ball....I think it was a Posties Jig...either that or a Virginia Reel...
And my little sister has the right idea... Isn't she cute?!?!?
Just to keep you amused... Love you all!!! God Bless! ~Christine
