Interests: I have many interests ranging far and wide. Because of this, I have a tendency to spread myself a little thin. I am currently working on prioritizing. My real passion is for My dear Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. From Him I derive my true identity and through Him I know my sins are forgiven and I will enjoy eternal life. My dad, mom, and siblings (of which there are four) are my dearest of friends. I also have many friends from my local church who I would lay my life down for and regularly enjoy deep and meaningful fellowship with. My local church is a second home to me. Other interests include: Reading - fact, fiction, biography, children's, news, magazine, etc... I am a fan of diversifying my reading intake. Knitting and crochetting - are also good time fillers and produce wonderful results (when I'm patient enough to finish a project). I enjoy making beaded jewelry when I have the time.
Expertise: Well, I am certainly not an expert in anything! I don't think I ever will be. I am of the opinion that the more you know about something, the more you know there is to know and the more you know you don't really know anything. Does that mean that everyone who says they are an expert in something knows virtually nothing? Probably.

This is perhaps one of my favorite Scripture passages from the Bible.  It speaks of God's intimate knowledge of me and his sovereignty.  Whenever I am tempted to ask, "Why?" or, "What if...?" this passage convicts me and corrects my thinking.

Psalm 139:1 O Lord, you have searched me and known me!
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar.
You search out my path and my lying down
and are acquainted with all my ways.
Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.
You hem me in, behind and before,
and lay your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
it is high; I cannot attain it.

Where shall I go from your Spirit?
Or where shall I flee from your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, you are there!
If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!
If I take the wings of the morning
and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
10 even there your hand shall lead me,
and your right hand shall hold me.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me,
and the light about me be night,”
12 even the darkness is not dark to you;
the night is bright as the day,
for darkness is as light with you.

13 For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother's womb.
14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of them,
the days that were formed for me,
when as yet there was none of them.

17 How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18 If I would count them, they are more than the sand.
I awake, and I am still with you.

ROMANS 5:1-11

1 "Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us."

6 "For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. 10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. 11 More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation."

Justified, access to grace, hope of the glory of God, endurance, character, hope, saved from wrath, reconciled... What wonderful promises in just these 11 verses!
