| Montreal Del Sol Trip (January 17th-20th)
Friday, January 17th (Rocky Start!)
The adventure started after we boarded the bus at 6:30 AM outside North Shore Diner. Our chaperone was a crackhead: he allowed people to smoke cigarettes, smoke trees, and drink on the bus. To make matters worse, Janet and I sat in back of a drunk, obnoxious white girl who talked incessantly. There were too many pit stops at the beginning and not enough as we got closer to Montreal. The chaperone asked the driver to stop the bus at one point to make a "beer run" (how crazy and ridiculous does that sound?!?) We were also stuck at the border for an hour plus while the other buses on this trip zoomed by. In conclusion, the bus ride felt sooooo~o long and unbearable. Well, we finally got to our hotel around 5 o' clock and it was time for supper. Janet, Francis, Lisa, and I walked around for 25 minutes in frigid -30 degrees Celsius weather looking for the restaurant at which we were supposed to meet everyone else. We finally gave up looking for that resto and ate at one where the menu was only written in French and Italian...haha my French skills were useless!! That night we hit up Club Sona, where Janet and I passed out for an hour in the hip hop room while the other girlies were off in the trance room. But guess what?? Haha, we woke up to 50 Cent's In Da Club....and that is why we will always love that song! We left the club early and ate at La Bella Province where they had the best soggy fries...for some reason, we were always hungry in Montreal--must be due to all the calories we burn by shivering Afterwards, we stopped by a Dunkin' Donuts, outside of which a shiesty cab driver waited for us to take a ride with him. I peeked out from where we were hiding and he pulled the cab forward, so we quickly sat back down. We thought it would be safe inside the store but Janet was solicited...umm, I think his exact words were: she wants a piece of this Italian Stallion. Ewwww!! We were so scared of the cab driver that we wanted to walk out with these two guys who were the only normal ones in that loony bin.... Apparently, my friend Sam told me that this Dunkin' Donuts was no ordinary one--it was whore-city...so umm, we were probably viewed as the new Asian girls on the block....
Saturday, January 18th (Merci Sammmo!)
Yay! I got to see Sam and other fellow Loveboaters, Rosalind and Ken. But seeing SAM was the highlight of my weekend If you are reading this, a great big hug and many thanks to you for taking us around and showin' us what your city is all about! After we woke up, we met up with Sam and surprise, surprise, what did we do? Haha, of course we ate Around 8 o' clock, he took us to a resto called Baton Rouge and the food was pretty good. J'aime le poulet sec We stopped by SAQ and I wished that he had carded us so I could say I'm old enough to buy liquor That night, we hit up Club Jet and then Club Aria. Overall, I'd give it a thumbs up.
Sunday, January 19th (Ladies Night-The Pinnacle)
Arrgh, we were supposed to wake up at 12 to go to the casino. Luckily Sam gave us a wake-up call at 2 and we squeezed in some shopping time. Thanks again, the girls really appreciated your help Montreal has this phat underground complex where all five malls are interconnected. Too bad we only had a few hours to shop...why do all the the shops have to close at 5?!? Afterwards, he took us to Chinatown to get Viet food and bubble tea. Their Chinatown is actually clean! Anyways, midnight hit and the girls got drunk at Club Living. There was open bar, excellent music....for some reason, we were all dancing to the same beat, but the Canadians were boppin to their own beat. Our next stop was a strip club where we met up with the guys...I wish I could tell you how it was but I was kinda buzzed and seeing double. Ummm, apparently the girl who was dancing on stage was not that hot...but the other girls must have been because this one guy spent 200 plus Canadian dollars on the strippers, haha. This last night ended with me getting really sick and regurgitating everything that I ate. Yes, YUCK indeed....
Monday, January 20th (Live Jerry Springer Show)
Janet and I went back to our hotel room...I passed out for a bit and it was time for us to pack for departure. The bus ride back home was chaotic! This guy and his crazy dike friend were fighting....something about her cheating on this trip. I swear there was an enactment of a Jerry Springer show when she started hitting one of the guys and people had to hold her back. Question of the day: where was the chaperone?? Anyways, I slept through the majority of the bus ride after the commotion died down and then we arrived at North Shore Diner at 9 PM. Back to where we started....
Overall, the trip was really fun...Montreal is a great city but still second to NYC It is definitely much better than Boston though! Anyways, it was nice meeting Francis and Lisa, our roomies, and the other people Plus, I got to spend quality time with Janet. Check out her Xanga page, Angelx412, for her thoughts on this trip |
