Tagged by PG to say 5 unique/weird things about me:

I'm having trouble thinking of stuff right now, so once I figure out something to put down here, I'll update.

One late autumn night,
the disciple woke up crying.

So the master asked the disciple...

"Did you have a nightmare?"
"No."
"Did you have a sad dream?"
"No," said the disciple.
"I had a sweet dream."
"Then why are you crying so sadly?"

The disciple answered quietly,
while wiping his tears...

"Because the dream
I had can't come true."

Man, it's been so long since I've updated.  Right now, it's almost 4 AM and I'm taking a short break from my CF paper to write an entry.  This mug is due tomorrow before 8:00 PM, but I have class most of the day and a Physics quiz I haven't started studying for at 11:00.  Sigh, I think senioritis is starting to hit me pretty hard now....only 4.5 weeks until I graduate.  This is what I get for slacking so much last week =(  Right now, I have two goals.  First, I'm hoping to graduate top 5%.  The cutoff for the engineering school is something like 3.87, and I currently have a 3.93.  So, I think I can afford a B+ and maybe an A- or two.  I did pretty well on my midterms, so I just have to get through these last few weeks and not screw up any finals.  My second goal is to get a few job offers (at least one) so I can enjoy Christmas vacation without having to worry about being unemployed.  Right now, I've made it to Raytheon's second round interviews.  Their second round interviews are like an all-day event.  I gotta show up at 7:45 AM for breakfast, and then go through three different interview sessions and some other stuff until it ends at 3:00.  And I was hopin' to spend my day off from work(This Friday is a bank holiday - Veteran's Day) catching up on homework =/.  A job offer from JPM is likely, but nothing offical yet.  So, things are looking pretty good.  I still haven't heard from Lockheed yet though.

Man, this semester's been rough.  And it doesn't help that two of my roommates have graduated, one of those two being unemployed.  I've always thought I was pretty disciplined, but it's hard to resist the temptation of computer games when all of your roommates are playing.  I know what you're thinking, but it's actually more difficult than it sounds =(  Add that to the fact that I barely have enough time as it is between 19 hours of work and 13 hours of school.  Basically, the end result is, I manage to do pretty okay in school but I am severely sleep-deprived and stressed out.  On the bright side, I turn 21 this Saturday =)  But, I have to survive this week if I want to actually enjoy it.  So, it is now 4:10 AM.  I should be able to get a substantial amount of work on this paper by 5:30.  Then, I can get about 2-3 hours of sleep (more like a nap) before I have to wake up to study for my Physics quiz.  Then, I'll have to make it through another class, then get back and finish up my paper.  As soon as all this is over, I'm gonna pass out and get some sleep so I'm not dozing off during my interviews.

I decided that since summer's over half over, I should make an entry.  My summer's been pretty uneventful.  The most exciting things were the trip to Houston and Surren and my sister's birthdays.  Oh yeah, I should post a few pics from my sister's birthday.  But anyways, other than the two holidays we got (Memorial Day and Independence day) I haven't gotten a vacation yet ~~~~>_<~~~~ (like my new japanese/anime emoticon?)  Hopefully I'll be able to take a week off before school starts.  For most of the summer, my weekday has consisted of:

* Wake up at 6ish and get ready for work
* Leave for work at 7
* Leave work at 5, get home at 6
* Have 1 hour of free time before dinner (I use this time to work out now because my mom believes I need to lose weight before we go to California for my cousin's wedding.  How much weight you gained is the first thing they notice.)
* Eat dinner
* Watch some Korean series
* Play 1-2 hours of WoW (or more if I choose to sacrifice sleep)
WoW = World of Warcraft for those that didn't know.

So, what Korean series did I watch?  Well, I only watched two.

The first one, Dae Jang Geum was kinda long, but I really liked the last 15 episodes or so, and the main girl character is freaking cute.

The second one, Damo, was short in comparison, but it was awesome, although the ending was really lame.  Can any of you Koreans tell me why 80% of Korean series end with some important character dying?  When I watch a movie, I prefer not to leave the movie feeling like shit.  I mean, even if the ending is sad, it can still be satisfying (e.g. The Last Samurai).  But in a lot of Korean series they make characters die for stupid reasons.

I was planning an anime marathon at the beginning of summer, but I decided to play WoW instead ^_^  I haven't put any effort in making time to watch anime all summer, so I guess I'll catch up once school starts.  Everybody's been saying that Bleach is getting really good, even better than Naruto now, so I'm looking forward to it.  On the other hand, I'm not really looking forward to school.  Last semester was hell, I cannot handle 15 hours of class and 15+ hours of work a week, especially when working on a project which the rest of my group didn't feel like putting much effort into.  I'm sure people can handle it, since some of the interns here decided to take 1-2 summer classes while they were working full time >_<  That's nuts if you ask me.  At least I'll only have 13 hours this semester.  Uh oh, I gotta go for now, I'll come back and finish this entry.

Okay, I'm back.  Neelu and Dvo came over for my sister's birthday (which pretty much lasted the entire weekend) and we went out to eat, had some cake, then hung out for a bit.  This weekend was awesome (uh oh, here comes another bulleted list):

* Friday: Watched Wedding Crashers with Surren, Pat, and Marek, which was awesome, then ate at Spaghetti Warehouse which was not so awesome, or it was "nothing special" as Marek describes it.  Then WoWed it ups until about 3:45 am.
* Saturday: My sister's birthday dinner at Fizzi, then hung out in downtown Fort Worth.
* Sunday: Brunch at Hotel Intercontinental, which was freaking fantastic (actually, I was gonna say awesome again, but I just noticed that I've been using it too much).  Then, Pat came down to give my sister her present and we ate at Nizza Pizza, then hung out at Bethany afterwards.

(Warning: nerd stuff ahead)

I've started playing Final Fantasy VI.  I never had a chance to beat it all the way through, and it has one of the best stories of all the FF's.  Back in the day I only rented video games, and the Super NES didn't have a memory card, so I'd have to find a way to get the same copy of it that I had rented before.  So yeah, I didn't always get it and would have to start from the beginning.  But anyways, I'm gonna try and get through all of it before summer's over.

Man, I cannot wait until this week is over.  Well, obviously, since it's finals week, right?  If by finals, you mean hell, then yes.  Let me give you a little perspective on my situation here.

I just finished one of my two projects.  I had to spend Saturday, Sunday, and half of today to work on it, adding up to a grand total of 20+ hours.

Now, I'm about to start working on my paper.  My 10-20 page research paper, which has about half a page so far.  I have to turn it in by exam day, which is wednesday.  Oh yeah, and I gotta study for the exam too.  Almost forgot about that.  So....yeah, 70% of my grade will be decided on wednesday.

Project number two:  Senior design, a semester long project (although I am not graduating until next semester, which some people don't know apparently).  The entire project is due Thursday at 8:00 AM, and we have to prepare a presentation too.  Good thing we still have a lot of work to do...Oh yes, I neglected to mention a minor detail.  This project is worth 80% of our grade.

And, two other exams: Chem on Thursday, Math on Saturday, both of which I need an A on to make the grade I want.  Hmm...hopefully I can make some time to study for Chem.  Maybe I can squeeze it in after my Software Security final on wednesday....that's if we have the Senior Design project finished by then.  Then, I gotta spend all of the rest of the time after the Chem test to study for Math.

Good

Fucking

Game

Update:

Here's a little summary of my week after the Java project.

* Spent the rest of Monday and Tuesday night on paper.  Other part of Tuesday was devoted to Senior Design.

* Spent Wednesday from 10 AM to 2 PM on paper.  From then until 5:30 PM I studied for the final, then finished up the paper.  Took the final at 6:30 and turned in paper

* After the final, went to get help from Mr. Koenig, then worked on Senior Design until 8:00 AM with about a 1 hour break somewhere in there

* Was passing out in class because I didn't get any sleep, but our presentation wasn't too bad.  Note: Bao was in my group, so the project he mentioned in his entry is the one I'm referring to.

* After class, studied for Chem until 2:00, then grabbed lunch with Marek.  Took the final at 3:00 PM.  Passed out at about midnight and woke up today at 11:15 AM

* Currently, I am studying for my Math final....then it will finally be all over.

Update:

IT'S OVER!!!!! IT'S FINALLY OVER!!!!!!

Now I'm stuck with a tough decision:

Anime marathon or WoW it ups?
