Name: Alex Country: United States State: Pennsylvania Metro: Lancaster Birthday: 2/11/1987 Gender: Male
Interests: I hate these about me sections...Quiet around strangers, but loud with my amazing friends. If I wasn't dating the coolest Mormon in the world, I'd totally marry John Crouch. This summer, I'll be spending most of my time working at good ol' Hempfield school district. Otherwise, I'm either chilling with 'the guys' or hanging out with the greatest girlfriend ever. Throw in a few crazy parties, a few anime nights, and maybe even some roadtrips to Otacon and Swing Dance clubs, and that pretty much sums up what my summer will be!So, aside from the anti-social tendencies and overwhelmingly nerdy computer obsessions (including but not limited to webmaster of disaster), I strive to ensure that everyone at the party is having a good time. ;) Occupation: Student

| Parallel DaysHeya advent readers,
So, kinda got some sorta bad news...
After working at Hempfield 5 week, finally got my first paycheck, which they sent to one of my closed accounts. They were very nice in getting back to me. However, my bank failed to mention that when they fixed my account on the 9th, I would incur a fee on the 19th, so now all of my money is gone. Or rather, all the money I didn't really have in the first place.
Yea, yesterday sucked. Hardcore.
So I decided two things. The first is that I'm switching banks. But this time, I'm actually going to do research about it and not just listen to people's opinions.
The second epiphany? I do not like the feeling of having no cash. It sucks. This may seem obvious. Anywho, I decided that I need a second job.
I'm applying to work at Dutch Wonderland evenings from 2:50-8:45 (I think that's the shift). So, yea, I'll be working 12 hour days over the course of the week. But my weekends will likely be free, and when I'm back from college vacations, perhaps I can work at the park.
This is assuming I get the job. I'm hoping the fact that I know the five people who would be my bosses will help me, but I don't know how much of an influence that will really hold.
I do know that I've got a lot of drive as an employee in any job I pursue, and it would definitely help rebuild my bank account.
But my point? You know how I was busy off my ass before? Well, now I'm probably REALLY drop off the face of the earth, haha. But I need the money. And hey, at least I get to work under some of my best friends. And I already love my other job (despite the limited hours). So, this will be good.
Anywho, yea! Hopefully won't work weekends, but I've gotta be flexible.
See ya guys around!

| Ye better watch ye's back, if ye knows what's good for ye...Heya! So what's it been, a month? two? Yea, I've been really bad with updating, haha - sorry!
Life is pretty awesome, but fucking busy!
So what's happened these last few weeks? Well, I was riding my bike everyday after work, but then while I was riding it, my front wheel came off and I flew over it. Kinda sucked, haha. Only 10 stitches in my chin, and missing a lot of skin, but it's growing back now! So that means I can start going back to the track to run again :D But no more bike :'( It's sad, really...
Work's good. The last few days have been a bit ... tedious - Had to fix a mistake we made, and it took a very very very long time. But still - it all counts for experience :) My boss is retiring tomorrow, and my one coworker has been in the hospital lately, so work has kind of been light. However, he should be getting better soon, and we're getting hardware monday I think (and hope). So things are looking up :)
Busy off my ass. By yesterday (wed), I had made plans for every night this next week. Kinda sucks - I miss the ability to just lie around and play vid games, or catch up on some manga, etc. But ah well.
Also had the first official deck party. It was a very big success. A huge variety of people, but everyone seemed to get along very well! The next one will have a lot more notice, so there may be a lot more people. Should be good tho :D
Uhm, what else? Nm, I guess. Enjoying my friends thoroughly, and loving the time with the g/f.
Yesterday, definitely accidentally dropped my pants in front of cops in an abandoned parking lot. Haha, long story. Crazy.
Alright, I'm off. Hope everyone's well.

| Cause a thousand words, call out through the ages...Hey all!
So, it is my last day here in New Orleans, and since we're not volunteering today and our 'reflection' is done, thought I'd make a bit of an update : )
This week has been pretty cool. I worked at an animal shelter, helped 'renovate' a house, worked w/ the 'first book' charity, revamped a high school, and helped organize clothes at a homeless auction kind of place. It's been a pretty good week of service.
However, it's admittedly not at all what I expected. I came down here with the expectation to be in the rebuilding process of homes, since many have by now been gutted. However, because of the terrible politics behind places like the 9th ward, we didn't get to do that. Although much of what I did WAS good, it's sometimes difficult to find pride in your work when you're not directly seeing the results from it (i.e. - when your knee deep in dog poop in a dog cage, haha).
I guess it's just important to remember that every little bit helps.
Our 'guides' I guess you can call them were pretty cool as well. Some of them, at least. Often, I felt like I was at a summer camp. In fact, I accidentally referred to them as camp counselors several times, haha. But the ones who went out of their way to get to know you were pretty cool. Had a lot of really good, interesting conversations with some of them too.
Also headed over to Bourbon street. I wasn't a big fan - it was filled with prostitutes and old business men looking for breasts. But we did find a few cool places to go partying at night.
So yea - I volunteered and even partied a little. All in all, good trip.
I am very excited to be coming back to Lancaster. I'm really looking forward to hanging out with friends and whatnot, and ESPECIALLY Sara's 21st birthday bash. Also, I am thrilled that Adrienne is coming back - can't wait to spend every waking moment with her ;) And w/ Clayre living here this summer, and all the other people being around, it's shaping up to be an amazing summer :D
Alright - now I must go blow my nose b/c I'm sick. See ya guys soon! (I should be getting back home at about 4am - after I drive :D )

| I hear your voice calling out to me, you'll never be aloneAh, the crazy anime shit I listen to pleases me so much : )
SO! Now that I'm back to using my REAL xanga account, let me get something out of my system ...
fuck shit balls damn bitch queef bastard!
Ah, how nice it is to swear freely : )
So, I'm home! London was awesome. Got a few good stories, and made some new friends, and saw some cool places too! But I'm glad to be back to. I missed Lancaster and it's people a lot.
Although it would be nice if one particular person would hurry their ass back to Lancaster (cough, Adrienne, cough!)
Home is very different from when I left ... My dad moved in with his girlfriend, er fiance, apparently (he has yet to tell me he's engaged ... grr). Me maw is also dating a guy who may soon be my stepfather. Not to mention Jeff and Nat just got married. So yea, things are a little different from when I left, but as we all know, the only constant in life is change.
But the lancaster kids are still spectacular! I've gotten to see almost all of them. Even got to host anime night on saturday - it was awesome! I'm very excited for Oticon this year : ) But yea, they're an awesome group of people : )
Went to see Tim at Cal the other week too. Saw Mary, his cat, and a bunch of his friends for one of his roommate's 21st bday parties. They're some crazy people, haha. But I had a very good time. Met some cool people, and apparently was a 'heartbreaker' to a few others, haha. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with this crazy mormon girl in spain ... ;)
SU kids were good too. Didn't get to see them too much b/c of finals and whatnot, but it was great getting to see them.
Adrienne and I are having lots of parties this summer, so people will be visiting : )
Working at Hempfield again, which I am extremely excited about. I won't be calling through the ceiling as much, but I will get a lot more involved in the technical aspects, which I'm greatly looking forward to.
Going into my 21st year of life, I'm very happy. I've got a good job, great friends, awesome girlfriend, and I'm pretty happy, overall. I know it sounds really dumb when people say 'everything will fall into place', but I feel like it really is happening. It's a great feeling.
Question. Is it sad that my current inspiration for exercising and working out is Oticon? Haha. The group is talking about cos-playing, and if I'm going to do it, I want to look good. Adrienne wants to too, but I'm not sure how I feel about a bunch of nerds ogling her. But sadly, my g/f actually has a brain and consciousness that is not a part of my own, so I guess she'll do what she wants. But to be honest, I prefer it that way : )
Wow, this post is probably sickeningly sappy. Sorry guys!
Anyways, I'm not sure how much I'll post in this thing now. I usually don't post when I'm in a good mood. Thus why I rarely post. But I'll probably stick around. Might even get a new username.
Have a great summer guys! I'm sure I'll see you :)

:D
Only 1 request - please keep your comments very clean. Like I said,
family will be reading this - like, grandparents and whatnot - so don't
write anything inappropriate.
But yea, I shall miss you all! See ya in 4 monthsish!
