Memorial Day

O! thus be it ever when freemen shall stand, Between their lov'd home, and the war's desolation.Blest with vict'ry and peace, may the Heav'n rescued land, Praise the Power that hath made and preserv'd us a nation. Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just. And this be our motto "In God we Trust"; And the Star spangled Banner in triumph shal wave, O'erthe Land of the Free, and the Home of the Brave.

Happy Birthday to...ME!

50 Days has come and gone and I am now 21 years of Age.  I do not feel any different.  I do have a new licence though.  It is time to party like it's 1995.  I am going to party like Ted Kennedy...Gin and murkey water...just kidding.  You all know I am not a drunk.  I probably will not get DRUNK, but I have every intention of throwing at least a few back between today and Saturday.  I want to remember the 21st birthday believe it or not.  I do not have time to summarize what has happened between March 27th and now.  Classes are going ok.  I skip class A LOT!  May Daze was fun even though I was not 21.

The moral of the Story is that nothing has really changed...The people at Olive Garnden still offer wine, as do the folks at the Mexican Restaurants...except now, I will need my driver's licence at Meijer and the local gas stations and I will have to carry mints around with me regularly...

Oh by the way, I have now met Ken Blackwell, Tom Raga, and Mike Dewine personally.

...Must come to an end.

Spring Break is over and I am back to work/school.  Break was a bit boring, but entirely relaxing.  I did NOTHING!  Which is exactly what I wanted to do.  So I enjoyed it.  We had SNOW over spring break.  ONLY in Ohio.  I swear when I am done with school I am going to kiss this state goodbye and I am not looking back.  Posted below is my schedule.  Go ahead and take a gander at what it says after EVERY SINGLE ONE of those classes.  Yup "Writing Intensive".  On top of that I have the trip to New York the third week of classes.  And oh by the way, I am TA'ing/SI leader thing for PLS 200 again so I have to go to all of those classes again, and teach on some evening (have not picked yet, probably Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday).  On top of all that, I have to work every morning at 8:30.  Yeah.  It does pay well (well for a job where I do almost nothing), so I am off to the races of Spring Quarter.  For some reason though I am excited.  All of the Classes this quarter are classes I WANT to take.  No more Spanish!!!!!  I suppose if I could get rid of just one class I would dump the Political System of China.  I love Dr. Luehrmann, but International Politics is not my bread and butter.  However, it does fulfill my International Politics requirement.

50 Days until I turn 21.  And for all those students at Wright State, only 74 Days until June 10 and FREEDOM!!!

All good things...

And so the quarter from hell draws to a close.  Thursday the Head Delegates emailed the White Slice away never to be edited or worked on again.  That cursed paper was the cause of me not getting very much sleep on many occasions.  Thus, I have one more policy speach to give on Monday and one trip to New York City and I am done with Model UN...For this year anyway.

Cleaned up the apartment today.  My room is now reasonably habitable again.  It is wonderful.  Replaced lightbulbs, swept, cleaned out the closet, cleaned the bathroom (Amazingly Clean), among other things.  Now I am just chillin watching the Duke Vs WF (Wake Forest for those non-basketball types).

Only 2 exams next week...But that is not to say that it is not going to be a busy as hell week.  I have 3 Review sessions to teach.  Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday night.  My Exams are on Tuesday morning at 8:30am (RST 262-China) and Wednesday at 1:00pm (Spanish 202, MY LAST SPANISH TEST EVER!!!).  Then Thursday I have to go watch the kiddies take their exam.  I have to work all week too.

I am the new President of the Wright State College Republicans.  Already in contact with the Blackwell Campaign.  For anyone interested, Ken Blackwell will be at Wright State University in the Apollo Room on April 7 at 6:00pm.  We invited Jim Petro but we have not heard back from his campaign.  Please come make this event a success.

I got nothing else.  Take care now.
