| Then I found you, one night when the moon was full, lighting up the sky, looking at the stars, only thinking about you. Wishing you were with me, your arms around me, holding me tight, your cheek next to mine. Praying that this night would never end. Loving everything about you. The way you smile, always making me laugh, and how you play the guitar, so carefully, hitting only the perfect strings, making nothing sound bad, but turning it into a beautiful song, a talent i wish i had. I love being with you, i wish i could tell you,and just pour out my heart. My life is different now, even better then before, one that i could never live without. See i found you, and i couldnt ask for more. You showed me love, and how it feels, a love so great. Not so sure you fully understand, a love i could never live without. So forever your name will be written on my heart. | | |
| For my informative paper, I have an idea of three different topics I would want to choose from. One of these topics is the Education Profession, which is what I would like my career to be after college. Being a teacher would have many different topics and discussions that I could write about and get to know the profession a little better. Another topic that would be interesting would be another religion, really getting into the heart of another religion, to better understand what they believe and be able to compare it to Christianity. This would be an amazing process and a lot would be learned. One topic that also interests me is a topic on a certain animal, I am not sure which one yet but I was thinking butterflies. I would discuss the origin of butterflies and all the different species that exist with in that family. How they live and what they eat. Also how to take care of them and how many types there are. | | |
| PAPER #4 Working in a group was a lot of fun, but was more difficult. It was fun because we go to use each others ideas and build off the main points from each of us. It was difficult because we needed to put each others thoughts together so they flowed. Cohesiveness of the paper is the most difficult thing to do in a group; to make all the ideas flow together into one strong argument. The audience analysis helped a little in the beginning when we were thinking of who would most benefit from reading this paper. We came up with teachers, school administration, and parents. Parents were our last idea as an audience. We thought that the parents would be a good audience because they have the most effects on their children. The paper helped with organizing certain feelings and needs that needed to be expressed in the paper. The positive aspects of working in a group were the amount of ideas that each of us gave. We all knew what we were writing on, but just the different way we saw each aspect of our paper. It helped when writing the paper because it allowed for a strong argument covering each part of why teachers should not carry weapons in school. The difficulty in working as a group was getting together, but most importantly making the paper flow and be cohesive with using each others thoughts and ideas. We needed to make the paper sound like one voice. Our group wrote a really strong paper that would have been very effective if the audience read it. Our paper covered all aspects of the argument and even reflected on other solutions beside the use of guns in schools. It was also a very interesting topic that is recently occurring and if was very fascinating to see how people wanted both sides of the argument. Some believed that it was a good idea, but our argument overran their ideas with why it would hurt more than help. | | |
| Art can be defined as a creation of beautiful things or thought provoking works, a branch of art, artistic skill, and techniques or crafts produced with creativity. Art is very distinct within the faith of Christianity. Even from the Greek and Renaissance periods in history, Christian art has been defined in every painting and sculpture and even in writings and dramas. This is shown in the symbolism of a higher being and the sacrifice of the one and only son, Jesus displayed within the piece. In many writings and dramas, the effects of sin and the punishment deserved without the means of repentance is cast out in the writers feelings of self pity and eternity in hell. I believe that art has a very strong influence when sharing the Christian faith. When we go as missionaries to other countries there is always the language barrier that can occur. With art, such as paintings or drawings, it can illustrate the good new of Christianity and the love of Jesus Christ. Even though the words are not being spoken, the people are able to understand within the clarity of the artwork. Writing relates to our faith in that we read the bible and other books that teach about the Gospel and salvation. Writing expresses the inner feelings and thoughts that are sometimes hard to speak of, but are easier to write down. Lastly art in general is a gift from God. Our life is not our own, but Gods. God gives each of us special gifts and talents to use for His ultimate purposes. The cool part is that God uses us to reach out the lost and lonely in many ways, and this is especially within the means of art. | | |
| My Father: I am writing to you, To let you know, How much I love you so. Sitting up there, Watching me grow, Little by little, Into a beautiful young girl. I pray to you every night, Father, Knowing that you listen, Caring about every tiny word, A tear, a smile, you listen, Never putting me down, But letting me soar up form the ground. Comforting me when I cry, When I am alone, With no one near by. Your arms wrapped around me when I am scared, Keeping me from danger and sin, The evil gifts of the Devil, Knowing that he will never win. Father, talk to me, I am listening, To your precious Word. Tell me how to live, Teach me how to love, Just like you. You’re my best friend, Father, I just want you to know, I need your helping hand, To help me grow. Father, I wrote you a letter, To let you know, You’re Amazing and Wonderful, My only hero, And in a soft whisper, Father, I love you so. Love Always, Kimberly Deseno | | |
