Our New Family Member

Skippy Is our New Maltese..Here he is playing with my Spongebob Slipper..We just got him on Sunday..He's 5 1/2 Months old and he was born in Budapest Hungary..So he's a European dog...

I never really wanted a dog but Julia drove me crazy for 2 years begging me for one so we finally gave in. However just as I predicted I'm the one doing most of the work..He's not housebroken and does not like to go outside. He's about 8 lbs. The Vet suggested wee wee pads..but he goes everywhere else but on the pads..what fun!! But mostly he's pretty good and cuddly and oh so cute..he does need a haircut though as Malteses tend to have very long hair..

So if anyone has any puppy advice please feel free to throw it my way..

Pam and Mel in NYC!!

Records were broken this weekend when a major blizzard hit NYC..

There was more than 2 feet of snow, the city was paralyzed. Trains were halted and flights were cancelled..

Could it be that this Gal's wish for "some" snow for her trip to NYC was granted?? Everything Mel does she does in a big way so although I was dissapointed that our plans to meet were ruined for Saturday night I guess I'm not surprised..

However all was not lost..we did meet for dinner on Monday night..it was too short but it was a lot of fun..We've all "known" each other here on Xanga since Early 2002..Wow has it been that long?? Yet Jo and I have never actually met Pam and Mel in person..Can you tell by the pictures how akward we all look together???

I can honestly say it was great meeting them both..It felt like we were old friends coming together again after not seeing each other for awhile..It's safe to say this won't be our last meeting..we're already planning the next one

My Girls got to meet Pam and Mel too..they loved them just as much as we did..

Have you ever felt unfulfilled? Like something is missing in your life? I know what I want, now I just have to make it happen..but that's the hard part.. Someone told me today that i'm a dreamer and want things that I can't have. But why should I settle? And what's wrong with being a dreamer anyway?

Life has been so hectic..I really need to learn how I can organize my time in a  more efficient manner.. I'll try to work on it a bit on Sunday..

I'm so excited..Spoke to a friend of mine today, we've " known" each other here on Xanga for close to 4 years now and have never met in person. She'll be in NYC in a month and the Fab Five will be coming together..I can hardly wait!!

oh, BTW, can you hear the music playing? Every few days or so I have a new Favorite song, and I play it over and over again and just can't stop..till I get sick of it that is..does anyone else do that?? Right now this song just makes this feeling come over me..

Maybe it's  just me but he's looking a lot cuter these days..

My Day at the Zoo....

Yes well my life is terribly exciting ..recently chaperoned a class trip for my daughter..went to the Bronx zoo..I've never been much of a zoo person.The smells are not appealing in the least and there was a Gorilla that really pissed me off..he thought he was being cute I guess..but it was quite disgusting..Did you know that Gorilla's eat, throw up, catch it in their hands and eat it again..then they shake their heads and throw up and the process repeats??And this just goes on and on until you finally leave him alone..Here's a pic..the sun was very bright so you can't really see the glare in his eye but he was very annoyed with us I could tell.talk about camera shy...He aslo kept hitting the glass and the girls would all scream..ok I did a little too..he looks much smaller in this pic than he did in person..honest
