When Jehovah created our world and populated it, He had vast plans for us, His children. Looking at the world today, with all of the widespread problems, we can easily see that the world is not the way our God intended it to be. What went wrong? We, His children, rebelled! How many times did that happen? The first documented rebellion occurred in the Garden of Eden. Jehovah’s newest creations, our original parents, hadn’t been alive long when another of His creations gave them a bad idea. 1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?" 2 The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.' " 4 "You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman. 5 "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." 6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves. (Genesis 3:1-7) (New International Version) -BibleGatewayJehovah warned them ahead of time that the tree of knowledge was off-limits and the penalty for eating the fruit was death. Fortunately, our parents, Adam and Eve did not die immediately. 5 And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.
(Genesis 5:5) (King James Version) -BibleGateway Jehovah could have terminated them and started over! Instead, they lived long enough to reproduce. Their children populated the world. What was another rebellion? 4 In time all the older men of Israel collected themselves together and came to Samuel at Ra´mah 5 and said to him: "Look! You yourself have grown old, but your own sons have not walked in your ways. Now do appoint for us a king to judge us like all the nations." 6 But the thing was bad in the eyes of Samuel inasmuch as they had said: "Do give us a king to judge us," and Samuel began to pray to Jehovah. 7 Then Jehovah said to Samuel: "Listen to the voice of the people as respects all that they say to you; for it is not you whom they have rejected, but it is I whom they have rejected from being king over them. 8 In accord with all their doings that they have done from the day of my bringing them up out of Egypt until this day in that they kept leaving me and serving other gods, that is the way they are doing also to you. (1Samuel 8:4-8) New World TranslationMost people today do not know that Jehovah was originally our King! When the ancient Jews rejected Jehovah and clamored for a human king, Jehovah complied. 11 And he proceeded to say: "This will become the rightful due of the king that will reign over YOU: YOUR sons he will take and put them as his in his chariots and among his horsemen, and some will have to run before his chariots; 12 and to appoint for himself chiefs over thousands and chiefs over fifties, and [some] to do his plowing and to reap his harvest and to make his war instruments and his chariot instruments. 13 And YOUR daughters he will take for ointment mixers and cooks and bakers. 14 And YOUR fields and YOUR vineyards and YOUR olive groves, the best ones, he will take and actually give to his servants. 15 And of YOUR fields of seed and of YOUR vineyards he will take the tenth, and he will certainly give [them] to his court officials and his servants. 16 And YOUR menservants and YOUR maidservants and YOUR best herds, and YOUR asses he will take, and he will have to use them for his work. 17 Of YOUR flocks he will take the tenth, and YOU yourselves will become his as servants. 18 And YOU will certainly cry out in that day by reason of YOUR king, whom YOU have chosen for yourselves, but Jehovah will not answer YOU in that day."
(1Samuel 8:11-18) New World TranslationToday the people of the world are largely oppressed by our various rulers and lesser government officials. Corruption is rampant and injustice is routine. People around the world cry out for relief from the pressures and problems we encounter daily but relief is not granted. Not Yet! Why not? Jehovah wants us all to experience the folly of our self-rule to the fullest! Granted, Jehovah has rescued many people on an individual basis many times from the clutches of evil, but this world is still largely chaotic and hazardous due to the evils perpetrated by evil people. Our governments cannot solve the world’s problems because in many cases, the "helpful" government leaders are the problem!
What will it take to solve the world’s problems? Two things: We need for Jehovah to take back over ruling us and the evil people must be subdued. Will that ever happen? Yes, and soon! Jehovah has promised to take action long ago and the time is almost at hand for an event called "Armageddon". 44 "In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever." (Daniel 2:44) (NIV) -BibleGateway Are we sure that God will destroy all of the governments at Armageddon? 16 And the demonic spirits gathered all the rulers and their armies to a place with the Hebrew name Armageddon. (Revelation 16:16) (New Living Translation) -BibleGateway
19 Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against the rider on the horse and his army. 20 But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. 21 The rest of them were killed with the sword that came out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh. (Revelation 19:19-21) (NIV) -BibleGateway This prophecy was made so long ago most people today do not believe that it will ever be fulfilled. This is not the first time people made that mistake! 23 Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out; men and animals and the creatures that move along the ground and the birds of the air were wiped from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark.
(Genesis 7:23) (NIV) -BibleGateway Only eight people survived the "Great Flood" to enjoy a "new world". 18 So Noah came out, together with his sons and his wife and his sons' wives. (Genesis 8:18) (NIV) -BibleGateway Jehovah wiped out all of the evil people before! Evil or good, they refused to board the ark and thus condemned themselves to death by drowning. The world’s people face judgment once again! There is no ark to take refuge this time. Evil or good, all people who want to survive Armageddon will have to, again, meet God’s requirements or perish. God has requirements? This will be a foreign concept to people who have been taught by their priests and ministers that "God loves us all just as we are!" What requirements does God have for us? "Seek ye Jehovah, all ye meek of the earth, that have kept his ordinances; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye will be hid in the day of Jehovah's anger." (Zephaniah 2:3) (American Standard Version) -BibleGateway "And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of Jehovah shall be delivered..." (Joel 2:32) (ASV) -BibleGateway It is widely known that nobody knows when "The End" will come… 36 "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. (Matthew 24:36) (NIV) -BibleGateway
But from what we can see going on all around us, time has obviously run out! "The End" is at hand! 44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
(Matthew 24:44) (NIV) -BibleGateway Most people ignored the signs until it was too late. "Once the owner of the house gets up and CLOSES the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, 'Sir, open the door for us.' "But he will answer, 'I don't know you or where you come from.' " (Luke 13:25) (NIV) -BibleGateway What about those people?
"They shall cast their silver in the streets, ...their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of Jehovah." (Ezekiel 7:19) (ASV) -BibleGateway We don’t have an ark for people to board this time. Symbolically, we can think of having a train to board. All of the people who wanted to survive Armageddon are "packed" with the knowledge they need to meet all of Jehovah’s requirements and are "boarding the train" to a new and wonderful paradise world. The rest of the population is staying behind and going down with this troubled old world. "...they have rejected the word of Jehovah; and what manner of wisdom is in them?" (Jeremiah 8:9) (ASV) -BibleGateway

| The Days of Terror On September 11, 2008 America will observe a holiday that is only seven years old. The new holiday – Patriot Day - did not exist prior to September 11, 2001. It is a subtle reminder of the terrible event in New York City that made the word “terrorists” a household word people all over the world now use daily. The destruction of the World Trade Center was not the first act of terrorism at all, but it now serves as a symbol for all acts of terrorism that continue to plague the world daily. Why is terrorism so prevalent now? Christ, himself, prophesied about the time of The End almost 2,000 years ago: For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now--and never to be equaled again. (Matthew 24:21) (New International Version) -BibleGateway
Does this prophecy from almost 2,000 years ago sound like it applies to the present? Evil is rampant in the world now. There will be no need to supply examples from news sources here. Every day, every hour, there is another shocking story about senseless violence from all parts of the world. While reading this article, consider the recent world news events. Does the world have a great deal of violence and injustice in it? The Bible prophesied many times that this would happen: 1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.
(2Timothy 3:1) (NIV) -BibleGateway 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that
you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom
against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8All these are the beginning of birth pains.
(Matthew 24:6-8) (NIV) BibleGateway Will things get worse? Yes! This was also prophesied in the Bible: 12 Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, 13 while evil people and impostors will
go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. (2Timothy 3:12-13) (English Standard Version) -BibleGateway
Is this happening now? People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous,
without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God-- 5 having a form of godliness but denying its
power. Have nothing to do with them. (2Timothy 3:2-5) (NIV) -BibleGateway What will be the fate of these people? "For yet a little while, and the evildoers will be no more; though you look with care where they used to be, they will not be found. But the meek in the end shall inherit the earth and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace." (Psalm 37:10,11) (Amplified Bible) -BibleGateway The meek shall inherit the earth? Yes! Christ, himself, confirmed the prophecy of Psalm 37:11.
5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
(Matthew 5:5) (King James Version) -BibleGateway Do the meek want to inherit the earth? The pollution, the crime, the terrorism, the destruction? What can we do? There is no place to run, no safe place free from danger any place in the world. Who will protect us from harm? Who can save the world? Frightened people all over the world are busy praying to a wide assortment of deities for protection. Many are depending on Jesus, Mary, St. Brigid, St. Patrick, St. Peter, Allah, Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, The nameless Lord, Buddha, rosary beads, prayer wheels, crucifixes, etc. People have been looking to their chosen personal gods and idols for protection and favors for thousands of years. What good is that doing? Soon, the false worship will be over, a thing of the past. The Bible tells of a sudden transformation that will occur: 5 Jehovah himself examines the righteous one as well as the wicked one, and anyone loving violence His soul certainly hates. 6 He will rain down upon the wicked ones traps, fire and sulphur and a scorching wind, as the portion of their cup. (Psalm 11:5-6) (New World Translation) Watchtower.org 12 I watched as the Lamb broke the sixth seal, and there was a
great earthquake. The sun became as dark as black cloth, and the moon became as red as blood. 13 Then the stars of the sky
fell to the earth like green figs falling from trees shaken by mighty winds. (Revelation 6:12-13) (NIV) -BibleGateway 32 Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth
from nation to nation, and a great tempest shall be raised up from the uttermost parts of the earth. 33 And the slain
of Jehovah shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the face of the ground. (Jeremiah 25:32-33) (American Standard Version) -BibleGateway 4 And he will judge between the nations, and will decide
concerning many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning-hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. (Isaiah 2:4) (ASV) -BibleGateway 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the
throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 13 The sea
gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. (Revelation 20:12-13) (NIV) -BibleGateway Will a time of Terror lead to paradise? Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. 27At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near." (Luke 21:26-28) (NIV) -BibleGateway The vast majority of mankind is living in constant fear now. Only a very small group of people is fearless in the face of oppression from governments and death at the hands of criminals, terrorists and the forces of nature.
Who can we rely on to protect us? Policemen? Soldiers? Militia? Vigilantes? Government? Not ONE of these entities have been effective in protecting the public from harm, but the servants of Jehovah are protected by Him no matter where they are in the world. 11The house of the wicked will be destroyed, but the tent
of the upright will flourish. (Proverbs 14:11) (NIV) -BibleGateway They are protected because they made a wise decision: …but as for me and my house, we will serve Jehovah. (Joshua 24:15) (ASV) -BibleGateway
What will be the final outcome? What kind of earth will the meek inherit? 17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the
former things shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. 21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they
shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. 22 They shall
not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree shall be the days of my people, and my chosen shall long enjoy the work of their hands. 23 They shall not labor in vain, nor bring forth for calamity;
for they are the seed of the blessed of Jehovah, and their offspring with them. 24 And it shall come to pass that, before
they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. 25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and
the lion shall eat straw like the ox; and dust shall be the serpent's food. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith Jehovah. (Isaiah 65:17, 21-25) (ASV) -BibleGateway
| How Much Does Our Lord and Saviour Love Us?
All Christians, no matter what denomination, love Jesus. All Catholics and Protestants love Jesus sometimes even more than God! But it isn’t hard to figure out why: For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 1Corinthians 15:3) (New International Version)Bible Gateway All of Christendom’s ministers claim to represent God but they seldom bring up the fact that God has a name. We can study the Bible with them for years and they will refuse to acknowledge the existence of Jehovah mostly because they consider Jehovah to be the Jewish God and Jesus, the Christian god.
But what does the Bible say about Jehovah? 29 Is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too,
(Romans 3:29) (NIV) -BibleGateway
Which God?5 I am Jehovah, and there is none else; besides me there is no God. I will gird thee, though thou hast not known me; 6 that they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none besides me: I am Jehovah, and there is none else.
(Isaiah 45:5,6) (American Standard Version) -BibleGateway
Yes, that is from the American Standard Bible. Most ministers refuse to use that Bible version because Jehovah’s name is restored to where it originally appeared in 6,000 places. But the popular King James Bible also has Jehovah’s name in it:
3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them. (Exodus 6:3) (King James Version)-BibleGateway
18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth. (Psalms 83:18) (KJV) -BibleGateway
So, should the ministers talk about God’s name to their congregations?
1 And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you. 2 If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith Jehovah of hosts, then will I send the curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings; yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart. (Malachi 2:1-2) (ASV) -BibleGatewayChrist is very important to us as God's Son, but Jehovah’s Witnesses also believe that it is vital for us to know God, Himself, and God’s name because He promises to save us if we call upon Him and Him only. 32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of Jehovah shall be delivered; (Joel 2:32) (ASV) -BibleGateway
Most people don’t care about Jehovah's Witnesses' beliefs and cling to the ones they like. People say things like, "I want to worship God my way!" and "Jesus is my God and I will worship him if I want to!" That doesn’t bother them. Noah truthfully told his people that the Ark was the only safe place to be when the rains came, but they scoffed at him too. In the end, they all drowned. This world, as we now know it, is also going to end soon but there won’t be an ark to save us this time. Faith in Jehovah is what it will take: 2 I will say to Jehovah: "[You are] my refuge and my stronghold, My God, in whom I will trust." 5 You will not be afraid of anything dreadful by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, 7 A thousand will fall at your very side And ten thousand at your right hand; To you it will not come near. 8 Only with your eyes will you look on And see the retribution itself of the wicked ones.
(Psalms 91:2, 5, 7-8) New World TranslationTens of thousands will die? How bad will it get? "And those slain by Jehovah will certainly come to be in that day from one end of the earth clear to the other end of the earth. They will not be bewailed, neither will they be gathered up or be buried. As manure on the surface of the ground they will become." (Jeremiah 25:33) (Young's Literal Translation) -BibleGateway Most people say, "But Jesus loves us! He will protect us!" But what does our Saviour actually say? "...but the world must learn that I love the Father and that I do exactly what my Father has commanded me." (John 14:31) (NIV) BibleGateway And what is God's plan? "But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who push the truth away from themselves. So God let them go ahead and do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other's bodies. That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. And the men, instead of having normal sexual relationships with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men and, as a result, suffered within themselves the penalty they so richly deserved. Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, fighting, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip. They are backstabbers, haters of God, insolent, proud, and boastful. They are forever inventing new ways of sinning and are disobedient to their parents. They refuse to understand, break their promises, and are heartless and unforgiving. They are fully aware of God's death penalty for those who do these things, yet they go right ahead and do them anyway. And, worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too." (Romans 1:18,24,26,27,29-32) (NLT) -BibleGateway What Death Penalty?
9 Don't you know that those who do wrong will have no share in the Kingdom of God? Don't fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, who are idol worshipers, adulterers, male prostitutes, homosexuals, 10 thieves, greedy people, drunkards, abusers, and swindlers--none of these will have a share in the Kingdom of God. (1Corinthians 6:9-10) (NIV) -BibleGateway Will these "good Christians" really be destroyed? Why won’t Jesus save them? For one thing, our Lord and Saviour's name is not Jesus! "Some authorities, who have spent their entire lives studying the origins of names believe that "Jesus" actually means - "Hail Zeus!" For Iesous in Greek IS "Hail Zeus." "Ie" translates as "Hail" and "sous" or "sus" translates as Zeus. The English name "Jesus", therefore, stems etymologically from "Jupiter-Zeus" the chief god of the ancient Greek Olympus." -"Yeshua" or "Jesus" -- Which? Biblical Research Institute; 1996 by Les Aron Gosling Calling "Hail Zeus" for protection is not going to work! What else? "Not everyone who calls me their Lord will get into the kingdom of heaven. Only the ones who obey my Father in heaven will get in." (Matthew 7:21) (Contemporary English Version) -BibleGateway And what does his Father require? ²³ "Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked? saith the Lord Jehovah; and not rather that he should return from his way, and live?" (Ezekiel 18:23) (ASV) -BibleGateway 32 For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord Jehovah: wherefore turn yourselves [around], and live. (Ezekiel 18:32) (ASV) -BibleGateway Jehovah's Witnesses have warned people that their beliefs are wrong so that they got a fair chance to correct them. Most people don’t like their beliefs and refused to change. That is their decision. Jehovah's people do not make people change; they are just the messengers. They do not tell people what they want to hear; they told them what they needed to know. "But always, first of all, I warn you through my servants the prophets. I, the Sovereign LORD, have now done this." (Amos 3:7) (NLT) -BibleGateway
| The End of This World Part 3 The Bible contains many prophecies concerning Armageddon – the end of the world as we know it now. Understandably, few people take the prophecies seriously since this wicked and corrupted world is the only world that they know. In fact, many people believe that the horrible conditions that plague this world now are only temporary and will be somehow remedied in time. There is just one problem standing in the way – Satan. Many people innocently believe that mere men are responsible for the world’s ills. No wonder, most people doubt the existence of Satan or his demons and fewer still understand the power they wield over this world. What did the Bible say about Satan and his power? “Again, the devil taketh him up unto an exceedingly high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, ‘All these things I will give thee if thou wilt fall down and worship me.’“ (Matthew 4:8-9) (King James Version) -BibleGateway Christ did not accept Satan’s offer nor did he dispute Satan’s claim that he could hand over all of the kingdoms to him. This must mean that Satan, a former angel, did indeed own the kingdoms of the world, whether the kings knew it or not! From this we can conclude that all of the rulers of this world are under Satanic influence and always have been. This explains a great deal about the behavior of the people “in office”, does it not? Most people innocently believe that Jehovah is in control of the events taking place daily. How naïve! No wonder people are confused about the issue of “God is a God of love”. People would ask: “How can a loving God cause, or at least allow such misery in the world? Why does he allow evil to run rampant? The Apostle John was aware of the truth: 19 “We know that we are children of God and that the world around us is under the power and control of the evil one.” (1John 5:19) (New Living Translation) -BibleGateway This makes absolute sense because Satan is now confined here on earth, he cannot leave and he is angry now because he knows that his remaining time is short. That is why he is allowed to run rampant – Jehovah is allowing him to. 7 And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. 8 But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. 9 The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him. 10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: "Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.” (Revelation 12:7-10) (New International Version) -BibleGateway Why? Isn’t Satan dangerous? As a matter of fact, he and his demons are an absolute menace. The state of this world is evidence enough. It will even get worse as time goes by. 8 “Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” (1Peter 5:8) (NIV) -BibleGateway How bad will it get? It will get so bad that at the height of “The Great Tribulation”, unless Jehovah steps in to put a stop to it, nobody would survive: 21 “For that will be a time of greater horror than anything the world has ever seen or will ever see again. 22 In fact, unless that time of calamity is shortened, the entire human race will be destroyed. But it will be shortened for the sake of God's chosen ones.” (Matthew 24:21-22) (NLT) -BibleGateway 17 “And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against Jehovah; and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as dung. 18 Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of Jehovah's wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he will make an end, yea, a terrible end, of all them that dwell in the land.” (Zephaniah 1:17-18) (American Standard Version) -BibleGateway 33 “And the slain of Jehovah shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the face of the ground.” (Jeremiah 25:33) (ASV) -BibleGateway This sounds just terrible. In fact, it is downright scary. These warnings from Jehovah’s own prophets were written over two thousand years ago. Do not expect the priests and ministers of false religions to teach you this; it is not in their interest. It is happening now. We are in The Great Tribulation now. Most people would rather pretend that the conditions of the world are not that bad and blindly hope that the conditions will somehow improve. After all, who wants to face reality if it is hopeless? Who says the world is in big trouble? New Orleans Mayor Says God Mad at U.S.
By BRETT MARTEL, Associated Press Writer Monday January 16, 2006 NEW ORLEANS - Mayor Ray Nagin suggested Monday that Hurricanes Katrina and Rita and other storms were a sign that "God is mad at America" and at black communities, too, for tearing themselves apart with violence and political infighting. "Surely God is mad at America. He sent us hurricane after hurricane after hurricane, and it's destroyed and put stress on this country," Nagin, who is black, said as he and other city leaders marked Martin Luther King Day. Fortunately, the world situation is bad, but it is not hopeless: 44 "In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever.” (Daniel 2:44) (NIV) -BibleGateway That heavenly kingdom exists now. It was brought into existence right after Satan and the demons were thrown out of Heaven in the year 1914. We wait for the time to come when Jehovah will crush the present world governments and takes over rule of the earth. That is bad news for the world leaders, but good news for us. After all, what has the rulership of our political leaders done for us? 9 “All this have I seen, and applied my heart unto every work that is done under the sun: there is a time wherein one man ruleth over another to his own hurt.” (Ecclesiastes 8:9) (KJV) -BibleGateway What will happen next? After the governments of the whole world are crushed, all evil will be eliminated: 1 “And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. 2 He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. 3 He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time.” (Revelation 20:1-3) (NIV) -BibleGateway And just like that – we exit a world of constant turmoil and enter a world of paradise: 1 “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.” (Revelation 21:1) (KJV) -BibleGateway The new heaven has been cleansed of the demon element already. The earth will soon no longer have Satan and his demons present either for a thousand years. Also, all of the kings, dictators and other assorted rulers of the world will have been destroyed. All of the wicked people will be dead. Unfortunately, this will include people who are “fundamentally good”, meaning – people who: · Go to church, pray regularly and tithe! · Love Jesus · Never harm anybody · Mind their own business · Perform acts of kindness · Work hard · Love their country · Read their Bible · Teach Sunday school · Obey all of the ten commandments Shocking? Unfair? Unjust? Not at all.
Why not? The new world will be a paradise forever, and everyone living in it will never have the problems that the former wicked world had. We must face it, if people are not part of the solution, then they are part of the problem. Only people who are part of the solution to the problems will live forever in the new world, and it will indeed, be a paradise. It would be a great shame if the “good people” of the world did not get a fair warning. Do not expect to get a fair warning from false religions. Satan is behind all false religion and wants to take as many of us as he can with him to destruction. Satan knows that his time is growing short, and he is using his followers to persecute the ones who will not follow him. We must act now to avoid being part of the problem. 32 “All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. 34 "Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.’” (Matthew 25:32-34) (NIV) -BibleGateway The separating work is done now. Jehovah’s servants are still busy spreading the good news of the kingdom and getting ready for a new world soon.
| The End of This World Part 2 1914 was the year World War I began. What was the significance of that? Never was there a war like it in all of previous history! According to Encyclopedia Encarta: “World War I, military conflict, from August 1914 to November 1918, that involved many of the countries of Europe as well the United States and other nations throughout the world. World War I was one of the most violent and destructive wars in European history. Of the 65 million men who were mobilized, more than 10 million were killed and more than 20 million wounded. The term World War I did not come into general use until a second worldwide conflict broke out in 1939 (see World War II). Before that year, the war was known as the Great War or the World War.” From: http://encarta.msn.com/encyclopedia_761569981/World_War_I.html Yes, World War I was the greatest devastation the world has ever known until the outbreak of the even worse World War II: “World War II's basic statistics qualify it as by far the most costly war in history in terms of human casualties and material resources expended. In all, 61 countries with 1.7 billion people, three-fourths of the world's population, took part. A total of 110 million people were mobilized for military service, more than half of those by three countries: the USSR (22 million to 30 million), Germany (17 million), and the United States (16 million). For the major participants the largest numbers on duty at any one time were as follows: USSR (12,500,000); United States (12,245,000); Germany (10,938,000); British Empire and Commonwealth (8,720,000); Japan (7,193,000); and China (5,000,000).” From: http://encarta.msn.com/encyclopedia_761563737_15/World_War_II.html Encyclopedia Encarta: http://encarta.msn.com To the most casual observer it is obvious that the world is not a safe place to live anywhere on the earth. Looking at the world today, it appears that the world will continue being hazardous for all living beings - forever. It is fortunate for us that it will not! At this time there is an unprecedented rise in the death rate from war, pestilence, famine, crime, and natural disasters. For example: · War: There have been numerous wars in the twentieth century. “Increasingly, the 75-year period from 1914 to 1989, covering two world wars and the cold war, is being seen by historians as a single, discrete epoch, a time apart in which much of the world was fighting war, recovering from war or preparing for war." —The New York Times, May 7, 1995. "The whole world really blew up about World War I and we still don't know why. Before then, men thought that utopia was in sight. There was peace and prosperity. Then everything blew up. We've been in a state of suspended animation ever since . . . More people have been killed in this century than in all of history." —Dr. Walker Percy, American Medical News, November 21, 1977. Since the HIV virus that causes the AIDS disease appeared in the mid 1980’s, other previously unknown diseases that make world travel hazardous have appeared such as the Ebola virus, West Nile Disease and SARS. Terrorists are considering unleashing agents such as smallpox, anthrax and botulinum, the most toxic bacterial agent in existence. CNN.Com has a library of information about health and diseases: http://www.cnn.com/HEALTH/library/infectious.disease/ ACCRA, Ghana (AP) -- The U.N. chief warned Sunday that the world must urgently increase food production to ease skyrocketing prices and pledged to set up a task force on a crisis threatening to destabilize developing nations. In Haiti, food riots this month cost Prime Minister Jacques Edouard Alexis his job and setback international efforts to stabilize the country. Hundreds of Haitians have stood in long times to receive U.N. and regional food aid rushed to the country. Police Superintendent Jody Weis places the blame on too many guns and gangs. The victims have ranged in age from 12 to 65. Natural DisasterBEIJING, April 21 (UPI) -- Typhoon Neoguri, the first such storm to hit China this year, has killed at least three people in south Guangdong province, officials said. From: http://www.upi.com/NewsTrack/Top_News/2008/04/21/typhoon_neoguri_kills_3_in_china/7551/ It is a good thing that the world, as we now know it, is rapidly coming to an end! We look forward to the coming day when the world goes back to being the safe paradise world it used to be when our original parents Adam and Eve first walked the earth. | | |
